Amira woke up on a cold hard floor, she felt tired and drained and it was becoming a chore to open her eyes. She groaned and sat up, opening her eyes. As her eyes opened to narrow slits, she found out that she was in an absolute dark place with no trace of light. She seemed to be in a a vast space and it seemed that she was the only one around.
She opened her eyes fully and looked around again. The place was indeed vast and there was no single being around apart from her. Her back made cracking noises as she tried standing up. Amira stood up and exhaled, why was she even in such a place?, she wondered.
She decided to walk around and feel her way around the vast space. She allowed her eyes to adjust to the darkness till she was sure she wouldn't fall if she took a step. Amira stretched her arms wide, trying to feel something, a wall, a pillar or something at all to give her little information about where she was. Like a blind woman, she took small slow steps still trying to feel something.
"Hello" Amira called out but all she got was the unending echo of her voice.
Amira grew frustrated and confused not to talk about how her heart had started picking up pace from fear. What on earth was happening to her?, Was she dead or was she just dreaming?.
Plenty questions kept turning and turning in her head that Amira swore smoke must have come through her ears and nose from how hard her brain was working to give her an answer. Amira sighed dejectedly and just then she heard a faint whisper from her back.
She turned abruptly in the dark, almost loosing her footing "Who is there?" she called out again. She waited for a few moments but she got no answer, just silence, a stretched silence.
"Who is there?" Amira called out again.
She got no answer again and she grew rather scared. Her knees started buckling and she immediately felt weak. Amira became a nervous scared wreck, her feelings were all over the place, she didn't know what to think and what to make out. She turned again and continued on her journey, trying to touch something, anything at all to make her feel a little at ease.
After about two steps, a whisper came again and then it came again "Amira" with her name this time.
"Who is there!" Amira screamed "Please show yourself" she continued with a breaking voice. She was already feeling helpless and meek.
"Amira, Amira" a deep feminine voice said and chuckled "I have been waiting for you for so long"
Amira's fear only worsened as she turned her head around hopelessly to get a glimpse of whatever or whoever was talking.
"Who are you?" Amira finally questioned.
"Who am I?" The voice asked back and paused "Well, I can be anything you want" the voice continued nonchalantly "I think you should rather ask why you are here"
"Why am I here?" Amira echoed the voice's thought.
"Yes, why are you here?" The voice asked again.
"I don't know, I just woke up from my sleep and found myself here" Amira shrugged as if the voice could see her which it could.
"My dear Amira, you being here can only one thing" The voice said in sickly sweet voice adding another chuckle.
"What one thing?" Amira questioned.
"You are in desperate need for my help" The voice replied.
"Your help?" Amira echoed.
"Yes, my help" The voice said with a hint of impatience.
"Now tell me, why would I need your help and why am I in this darkness in the first place?" Amira was also getting impatient.
"Oh, right" The voice laughed "Sorry for the inconvenience but this is where I have been staying all along but I think I can do something about it"
And before Amira could utter a word, she was blinded with bright lights, she closed her eyes and covered them with the back of her hands to shield them from the light. After a while, she squinted her eyes open to see herself on a hill with greeneries all around.
"Where am I?" Amira wondered out loud.
The hill was situated above a little forest, it was not dense but a little sparse and healthy. The trees of the forest were not that long and old and they seemed to surround a big hut. The hill was covered in soft plushy grass and it was nice and doing wonders to Amira's bare feet.
"Welcome here" Amira heard from behind her and in fright jumped up high into the air and fell of the hill.
She screamed and closed her eyes waiting for the impact but after long moments of screaming and panicking, nothing of that sort happened; rather, she heard a loud booming laughter.
She opened her left eye and looked around to see if she was on the ground or not but she saw that she was rather levitating. Amira became frightened again from her height in the air, and she became frightened and started panicking, throwing her hands around like a small bird.
"Amira, relax before I throw you to the ground" The voice said and laughed again.
Amira stopped panicking and looked up to see who the voice belonged to. She saw no one and she frowned.
"Could bring me back to the top of the hill?" she asked.
"Sure" the voice replied and Amira felt herself being drawn up to the top of the hill.
When Amira's feet touched the hill again, she came face to face to with a tall beautiful woman, she was as beautiful as a goddess and she shamed everything around her. Amira couldn't deny that she felt a little jealous and she wished she could just be like the woman in front of her.
"And who are you supposed to be?" Amira asked with a raised eyebrow.
The woman laughed and exhaled, freeing her long hair which was in a neat ponytail. She sat on the ground and looked up to Amira "Come sit and let me tell you a story" she patted a space next to her.
Amira looked at the woman with a wary eye and squinted it at her with a frown.
"Come on, don't be scared" The woman beckoned to Amira.
Amira still not convinced but decided to take a chance anyways say by the mysterious woman "So what is the story?"
The woman placed a hand on Amira's shoulder and Amira was jolted into space then finally into a field of various beautiful flowers, it was nice and amazing but that wasn't Amira's concern at the moment as her bowels threatened to spill out it's contents from her mouth.
"A warning would have been nice!" she glared at the woman.
"My apologies, Amira. I think my manners have become a little rusty from being alone all these years" the woman smiled to Amira.
Amira frowned and was about to open her mouth when something fell from the skies and landed in a heavy thud making dust fill the field.
Amira covered her eyes and started coughing "What exactly is going on?"
"Don't worry, this is the story I wanted you to see" The woman answered.
Amira squinted her eyes and she saw a battered woman lying on the ground through the dust. The woman seemed to have been in a fight and she felt oddly familiar.
"Who is-" Amira started but got interrupted by the woman standing beside her.
"Stop talking and just watch"
Just then another woman came by in a blur and she stood over the woman who was on the floor.
"Aya, why do fight with us when you know it's so pointless?" The woman standing said in a dark voice.
The one on the floor coughed and then chuckled "At least I would know I went with a fight"
Just then the dust settled and the field became clear again. Amira looked and her eyes widened from what she saw. Clearly on the field were the mysterious woman who was standing beside her and the goddess Mai. Strangely Mai was the one who was standing and the mysterious woman was the one all bruised and battered on the ground.
"And wh-wh-why is t-t-this going on?" Amira stuttered.
And right before Amira's eyes, the woman who goddess Mai called Aya laughed maniacally and her body started dissipating. She turned into dust particles and disappeared, what was left of her was the huge hole she made when fell with the heavy thud.
"That was the most painful moment of my life" Aya said solemnly.
"So are you really the one on the ground called Aya?" Amira asked.
Aya nodded and Amira asked again "So how are you standing here beside me when you clearly turned into dust?"
Aya laughed and said "Let me introduce myself formally now, I am Aya the goddess of the skies and water"
"What!" Amira exclaimed and jumped back "Why on earth am I doing a rendezvous with a goddess?"
Aya laughed again "I am one with you now, you are me and I am you. The merge wasn't supposed to happen now but it seems you triggered it when you were thinking about that illusion spell" she replied.
"Merge, Goddesses and now teleportation?" Amira exhaled and shook her head "This just too much"
Right when Amir finished talking, a huge bolt of lightning striked the place where Aya's body made the hole and Amira's body couldn't hold on anymore to see more surprises. She collapsed and fell to Aya's feet.
Aya chuckled "Oh I wonder how she could she would take the rest when she is collapsing from just the minute details"
Aya snapped her hand and then Amira's spirit returned to her body and Aya back into Amira's core.
