"Th-that was close" Aviur gulped, backing away a bit from the growling and glaring Rieka, who shortly got her energy back and snapped the ropes in half, and abruptly escaped.
"Damn" Lily cursed under her breath, she and Aviur standing up quickly, running after the escaping Rieka. "Howl!!!" as loud as she could, she did her utmost best to howl.
"She's gonna get away!" Aviur clicked his tongue, running as fast as he could. Not for long, they heard another howl, faint but loud enough to be heard from where they are.
The duo stopped, panting as they finally caught up with her, but let out a sigh of frustration. Really? hunters? Right now?? Aviur rubbed his forehead with his fingers, looks like they'll have to fight their way through.
Rieka looked at both sides, the ones she just escaped on her left, and now... the ones she's trying to escape on her right, technically, hunters. What luck, amazing.
"Having fun sneaking into the forest to illegally hunt?" Aviur sighed, of all times it has to be now. "This girl is ours! Don't even think of stopping us" one of the hunters scoffed, attempting to grab Rieka only to fail.
Thanks to her swiftness, she immediately runs toward the tree, climbing on its branches and seeing familiar faces, went straight to where her pack is running.
"Shit! Hurry!!" the hunter's leader ordered, but annoyed by what they saw in front of them. "Get out of our way!!!" he shouted, drawing out his dagger and attacking the duo.
"Looks like we'll have to continue our plan tomorrow" Lily claimed, Aviur nodding in agreement.
-
Good thing she finally found her family, or else she'd still be stuck there. Rieka pants as she and her pack finally arrived back home. Seeing her wolf mom, she instantly run to her, hugging her tightly.
The wolves roam around her, glad that she finally made it back home. She's finally home. Cuddling closer, unknowingly, she fell asleep.
-
"You can't just reason with stubborn people" Aviur groans, Lily tightening the tied rope and dragging the hunters out the forest. Just as they were out, the duo felt drips from above.
"Let's hurry, it's starting to rain" Aviur exclaimed, his friend nodding as they sprint their way through the palace.
~*~*~*~*~
"Alright, you may take your leave" Rogue gestured, Aviur nodding as he leaves the room, the hunters finally sent to prison. Having done his part, he dashed straight to who knows where.
-
"Knock knock" Lily walked towards her door, to which she slowly opened. In front of her revealed a dripping wet Aviur, panting. "What's wrong?" she asked, letting him come in, closing the door afterwards.
"Did you just take a bath?" he asked, looking at her with her new clothes. "Yes, you can take your turn" she states, drying her hair with a towel. "You didn't burn my clothes did you?" he nervously asks, opening her closet.
"If I wanted to, I would've done it a long time ago" she bluntly states, Aviur nervously chuckling. If you're wondering why she would have his clothes inside her closet, often he would run into her house as a hiding spot so bringing in his clothes would be less trouble whenever he wants to stay in.
Going inside her bathroom, he took off his clothes and started his warm bath.
-
"That was refreshing..." he says, drying his hair with a towel. "Should we go tomorrow? Or continue it later midnight?" Lily asks, preparing their lunch. "We don't even know where she lives" Aviur groans, sitting in the dining chair, waiting for the food to be finished.
"We can explore the forest" she shrugs. "Are you kidding? It's a wide range of forest we're talking about here" he raises a brow.
"Well then what do you suggest?" she asks, the food prepared as she puts it down the table, and sitting in front of him. "That's easy. Befriend her" he smirks.
"How exactly?" she questions, taking a sip of the hot soup. "Just follow my lead. It's lunch today, and they're likely to be hunting right now. So we'll start tomorrow when they hunt for their breakfast" he claimed, taking a bite of his meal.
"But they also have to hunt for their dinner" she states. "Right, fine. We'll start this evening then, or afternoon" he suggests. "Alright, but for now let's eat, I'm starving" she says as she gulps her food down.
-
"Are you sure about this?" Lily raises a brow, unsure of whatever he's planning. "Trust me" he smirks, tightly holding his bag. It just stopped raining so they took this chance to do so.
"Howl!!!!" the duo rapidly turned around to see a growling Rieka. Why do they keep appearing?? They are after my family after all. I must kill them both. Rieka's blood-red eyes glaring right through the duo, her sharp fangs baring as she attacks the duo.
She's had enough. She doesn't want any more of her family being hunted and killed, leaving her behind. She'll kill them for sure right- she stopped, then backing away immediately.
"Seriously?" Lily sighed, Aviur grinned. Rieka sniffed the meat before her. It's meat, a slice of cow meat at that. But she just had her lunch a while ago so she's full for now.
"You know this won't work" Lily sighs, Aviur raising a brow in question. "How so??" he pouts. "You can tell by her clothes, mouth, and hands that it's bloody. Too much blood, which means she just had her lunch" she sighs in frustration.
"Oh right" he hits his head, stupid. Rieka was confused, so confused. First, they abduct her and now they give her food? What's going on?? But she has to kill them now or else her family will be in danger.
Growling, she slowly approached him, sniffing the meat on the way. Cautious, she kept growling. "Easy now..." he friendly smiled. She sat down, as a wolf would.
"Did I offend her?" he gulped. Rieka blinked, casually staring at them. His mind still processing what's going on, he sat down too, hoping what he's doing won't anger her.
The staring contest went on for minutes, the wet ground cold. Awkwardness then came later on, him looking down. What should he do??
