-next day-
Waking up in the beautiful world.....of storms harsh winds.... nevermind. I am thinking of doing what I thought of doing last day, the regrowing stuffs and improving the tree, but I'm lazy again.
Tbh I don't need a house and I doesn't get dirty. I can just sleep here until the storm stop, but my dang freind always keep me alive!
Actually I already know what to do to speed up my plan to take over this whole forest and turn it into a lightning environment. I will graft parts of the original lightning tree with other trees and have those grafted parts take over the whole tree and have them become similar to the lightning tree or I can also use spores for both the animals here and insects and plant lifes, but I have a problem that prevents me from doing those.
I'm lazy and I don't have a parasitic type of subject and also I can't find any mushroom and while I'm at it, I can't find any birds at all.
And this only calls for something, foraging!
I stand up and look at the tree. The tree itself and the clusters of wisps creates a spectacular view of eye burning light that can send all of the existence to the hospital.
Truly a fist for the eye.
The water level is still high and all type of things have been washed in.
I climbed the wall and looks at the flooded scenery of untainted destruction.
Sucmadic was also swimming arround and zapping the hell out of everything that passed him.
"I think I will just wait here until something parasitic pass me" I'm whistling lazily while laying down for a few minutes before sitting again. I guess I don't have anything else to do other than to go explore the forest, but does mushroom even exist at this era? I think the the most mushroomy thing that I would find will be plants that will become mushrooms in the future.
The situation is really hopeless, I walk around the forest and gathering interesting stuffs on the way, including interesting stones because I might be able to improve my weapons with them.
Not long enough, I reach the familiar field where I first appeared. It's very dark so I can't see anything much, but I can see the silhouette of a few worms.
"Guess I can try my weapons with them" I unloaded my gun from my back and aimed at one of them. It's a bit hard to use so I go behind a rock and use it to set my gun.
Now aiming, I use my Mana eyes which gives me a very clear view of my enemies. With hopes in my eyes, I aimed for its head and clicked the trigger. Four bullets of electrical current got unleashed and go forth in full speed in which upon impact wrapped the worm in wires of electricity that zapped its life out.
The other worms got allerted, but they can't find me because I camouflaged myself. Not giving them any chances, I killed them one by one. Welp, that was easy.
/Congrats, you gained 'weapon expertise' /
/Skill level increased to maximum/
/You level up to level 6/
That's quite the gain, but the real price will be their body.
/You are quite excited, aren't you? make sure to check your surroundings first/
"Thanks for the reminder, my friend"
/Hahhahahaha/
Following her warnings, I shot an earth bullet on a random place and soon that place crumbled to show clusters of worms attacking the place I shot. Then I shot another place and they rushed there from the underground.
Quite a nice tactic, but it's still hopeless if your enemy can control you. I then shot alternating fire and lightning bullets on them which caused an electrical explosion of burned bodies, squirming and screaming in agony.
/you leveled up to level 13./
That's quite a gain, very sweet.
After checking and shooting some more random places, I think it's safe now.
I cautiously walked towards the corpses and inspect them, there structures are still the same but with additionas of some more interesting stuffs and yes, they have bones.
They have this undergrown limbs with some chitin materials and a strong hidden mandibles. Then this weird small antenna like protrusion on their heads which can release something like a gas in the air.
There's nothing much of a find, I think I need to capture a live one for further study.
-sigh- the type of life forms here are too few, it would be better if I can get more land dwelling don't subjects, but I scared them away the other day....wait... it's flooding and that only means I can get some water dwelling animals to study! and if I'm lucky I might get a mushroom and parasites or something similar.
I got back to my precious tree pretty quickly and I'm greeted by the sight of my 4 named companions playing together because they just like so. They seems to be enjoying it.
I'm dying from boredom..... wait, I can do something that will keep my boredom for a bit!
I run to the tree and no one seems to be minding if I do something.
Hnnnmm mm I have a bright idea that can solve my problem, why not use the root system to influence the other trees and I think I can make it so that the effects will be very slow.
I need it slow because I have a bunch of problems, nevermind I'm not doing it now.
I instead focused on the tree and though of something that can make it stronger, I'm having some ideas. bit I don't know if they will work.
Hmmm Hmmm.....after a few moments of thinking, I added a give it a an enchantment that will make its bark and whole body more compact and stronger, next is an enchantment that makes Mana travel in its body easier and faster. I then focused on its roots and an enchantment that will make them have a better grip on the soil for a better foundation and using matter manipulate I made the roots go deeper an wider in the surrounding areas. Next are the leaves, this one is troublesome, focusing my uhmmm focus on them all, I enchanted them with a conversion enchantment that convert lightning and sunlight that the leaves absorbs into lightning element mana that will then scatter all arround the area to affect everything in its surrounding. This is one of the way I can go to solve my problems, but this one is very very very time consuming.
I can also change one animal and let its descendants inherit the ability of the parents. But it's also time consuming, I can improve it by using multiple animals and trees, but it might still need years to complete.
Nevermind, I strayed from my topic again which is the tree. Taking the ideas I have into considerations, I enchant the roots with something that channel some of the lightning Mana dispersed by the leaves into the roots and releasing them underground. This will cover more grounds( pun intended)
I can't let my precious leaves her eaten, so I enchanted them with ' sharpen which made them as sharp as blades and ' harden' which makes them very tough while sacrificing their flexibility, 'advance flexibility to remove that thing.
Hmmmm wait..I forgot something, spikes!
A decent tree needs a spiky protection, it's the essential of living. Using material manipulation I created a lot of spicky protrusions on the bark reinforced by a lot of tiny buds and tiny cores. I then enchant them so that the spikes can extend 30x their initial length and speaking of cores, I just remembered them now.
For the cores, I enchant them with enhanced storage capacity and I also added an enchantment that further refines the Mana into something purer. I did the same to core frame and core roots. The further they go the core frames and roots, the further they are refined.
And since I now have something to supply Mana which are the leaves, I added a function on the buds so that they will release the refined mana into the surrounding. Why not do it with the leaves? I also don't know.
Hmmmmm why don't I make this tree taller?
Using material manipulation, I started to make it taller while also filling up the gaps in the structures as I go up, adding more cores and making the core frame stronger, using the enchantments to make the tree more flexible, adding more buds, etc, etc. It's a hell ton of work
I wouldn't wonder if it will cost me the entire month just to finish this tree.
I don't know how much time are passing bye, but it didn't last soon as I finally put the last enchantment on the tree, the enchantment to attract more lightning and to encourage lightning to form. I also made lots of clumps of leaves into targets for the lightnings. The leaves there don't release mana, instead they pass it to the lowest level of leaves and the further down they go, the more refined they become. There are 8 clumps of leaves that function as 8 layers and only the lowest layer release the Mana. It's made like that so that the quality of the Mana is top quality and also to limit the amount of Mana dispersed on the surroundings. I don't want my precious trees to get toasty.
It's now as tall as a 15 floor building which is very absurd and it's also very big now.
I lie on the ground even if I'm not exhausted. The sight of a tall tree constantly being attacked by lightning is on front of me. No dark clouds, there are only lightnings appearing out of thin air. I never noticed that there's no longer any rain and harsh winds.
/Lightning tree evolved to Lightning tower/
Noice, I guess? I feel very satisfied.
" How long? "
/ 1 month and 15 days. The storm finished much faster than expected, about 6 days ago/
" ._. say it again"
/ Don't wanna, hmmp, I have no one to talk to for more than a month!/
" sorry sorry, but I'm very surprised at how much time it took me."
/ I think you will never leave this place again/
" Yeah, but I need to check out the elves"
/ You don't need to do that anymore, they are already coming for you./
" That's unexpected"
/ They are kin hunters and you caused so much desturbance that even them know where it's coming from/
" - Sigh- I'm just tired even if I can't feel tired"
/ Take some rest/
" I don't want to"
/ welp/
" When will they arrive?"
/ 2 days from now/
" I still have time to prepare, I should prepare my protections now, they might attack me"
/ I can only say good luck to you/
I hurriedly go and prepare myself for an encounter
