I was in the process of tormenting this man's soul. My patience was non-existent. There was not a thing that was going to stop me from forcing this dreadful human straight to Hellscape, that being said I heard crying and whispering from the back of the basement, I put this disgusting things journey on auto pilot and began looking for the source. I found the source of the voices sitting in the corner, the crying coming from a little girl with her face in her knees, the other hushed voice coming from the spirit of the girl I was reincarnated as softly comforting and trying to soothe her friend.
It's a long story that I will try to make short. When I am reincarnated I split a little bit of myself to create a New soul to make up for the ones that get sent to hellscape and when I return to blue veil I recuperate and heal and then help out in blue veil until it's time to get ready to start another life.
I strolled over and stroked the small girl's head, she flinched and looked up.
" Who are you?... " She sniffed a few times then continued
"... And are you going to take me away?" the pain in her voice broke my heart a bit.
" Yes. I'm sorry. We... We tried to get here sooner but... We couldn't... We were so close." A tear rolled down my cheeks and then slid down my jaw. I angrily wiped them away. Ludo sat next to her friend silently still patting and rubbing her shoulder.
" it's okay. You tried. " she sniffed twice more before making an effort to stand. Her legs gave out before they were fully extended sending her back to the ground.
" Miranda... " Ludo reached for her pausing before she said anything else. I guess they exchanged names before I came over.
" It's fine, I'm fine... " Miranda said turning to Ludo during her pause.
" I forgive you... Both of you." me and Ludo simultaneously spoke.
" Thank you." I'm not going to lie it lifted alot left of my chest I signed my relief while looked behind us where Mr. Audrey was searching the basement smiling like an idiot while he pointed his stupid ass at any and everything like it was a kid playing with a nerf gun. I ruined his fun by borrowing Ludo's appearance to alarm him. I needed him to be fearful and occupied while I forced him into hell.
" What are you doing? Why are you doing it?" I looked at both and answered
" I'm pushing him into Hellscape." They both stared at me blankly.
" So he has done bad things to many kids and adults. Boy and girls alike I'm just here to finally stop him by punishing his soul and bringing it to what you call hell. I call it Hellscape simply because it's an entire team of its own based earth's second copy. You will be doing the first copy called blue veil or "Heaven" this copy is home to only spirits. This also goes for Hellscape but only that one is for souls who do really bad things each time they get to live again. Do you guys understand? " I analyzed her face as she shook her head.
" ... and me? " Ludo's innocent voice whispered to me from the background this made me freeze.
" We have been together since day one of course I know your a good kid..."
" Is it easy to push people into Hellscape?"
" It's basically impossible to push a good soul into Hellscape. That being said he slipped straight into hell with a smile. The only other souls in Hellscape are called Embers; they are either given the job to be there or they choose to be there. Either way they are there to punish the bad souls of the Hellscape."
" Embers?...If he's slipping into hell why is it taking so long? "
" His soul is slipping into the Hellscape without resistances. The only problem is that he's still alive so I have to be careful with his soul until I successfully pushed him through then I could rupture his heart."
"Good... And Embers? What do they do exactly? "
" Embers are basically in charge of the punishment of the bad souls. Tormenting and hurting those who have unapologetically hurting others. The point is to make the terrible soul wither out of existence.
"How do I become one?
"What? " I furrowed my eyebrows. Ludo stood in the background shifting nervously.
" How do I become an Ember?"
" Uh... Well I can make you one but-"
" Make me one... " She paused realizing how rude she sounded.
" Please. "
"I don't kn-"
" Please." she interrupted me reiterating it again.
" Please."
" Becoming Ember is really painful if you aren't assigned to the job by the gates because I would have to force you through very tight security."
" I'm prepared for it. " she gave me the puppy dog eyes
" please?" I froze time to think about this further. I would be forcing an innocent soul to torment a sick twisted soul. I wasn't sure that this was a fair decision. What if it doesn't work? Then I just rustled an innocent soul. Maybe I will say I will send her to Hellscape. Then she could live a normal life or at least have a chance at a longer better life. I chose to finally unfreeze when I made up my mind.
" Fine. But just know... I'm sorry." I smiled weakly
"I forgive you. I'm ready." I paused and debated, actually sending her to literal hell to be an Ember again I debated against my decision and looked here straight in her eyes.
" This is a process that has two phases... One to corrupt your soul to get you in, then the second phase is to change your soul so you can remain in control. You may or may not be more violent afterwards. That part depends on you. "
" I don't mind."
" Alright... Ready?"
" This is gonna hurt right? "
" Yes it is."
" Then don't leave me. I'm Scared. "
" What about me?" I looked over at Ludo who had shuffled over and now in the process of fading away I had to think fast so I decided to take hold of her small hand and put my long devil horn mark on her inner palm. My Magic is stronger than Ignius's magic so when I placed it she stopped fading away. Breathing a sigh of relief I smiled and released her hand.
" There. Now just stay put. I'll be back so go sit with Ignius."
She started to shuffle over to his body but stopped midway.
" Are you two really married? "
" Yes. Now watch over him for me will you? "
" Okay. " I turned back to Miranda and continued our condensation.
" I won't leave you. I'll be right here the whole time. " I gave a sympathetic smile. She just giggled nervously.
" How long does this normally take?" my eyes shifted to the right.
" Um... About 5 minutes... I think. " I guesstimated. The amount of time needed was never the same for everyone. She just nodded still looking lost in thought.
" Okay. Five minutes that's easy enough. Just five. '' She filled herself with false bravado. It wasn't working but hey, she tried.
" Let's begin. "
