(Ok. So hi, I'm The Good Slime. I'm gonna start seraph's story off with some lore for the world that he lives in. chapter is the prologue so skip if you want.)
The world this tale takes place in is called Lisonata, in Lisonata there are four countries. there names are Elysium, Valhalla, Diyu, and Adiri. these nations are separated into four islands connected by gigantic wooden bridges. Elysium is in the north, Valhalla is in the west, Diyu is in the east, and Adiri is in the south. In between all the nations there is another island called The Broken Nation. this is where our story will begin. All right now that we have the nations out of the way lets talk more about the history. The Broken Nation used to be known as Semulicarum and the inhabitant's of the nation were pretty much gods. the y were stronger, smarter, and had better surge strength. When you think of surge strength just think of Qi or Magic. ill explain more in a bit. The reason Semulicarum fell was because they were overwhelmed by the sheer number of the other nations. Though they were nearly immoral they were still human and couldn't defend against there onslaught. so in an attempt to take the other nations out with them Semulicarum formed a pact with Titus, The God of Death. The bargain they made was that they would give up their eternal youth, and in return Titus would grant them the use of divine and demonic energy. Demonic Energy would summon demons whereas divine energy could summon angels. however Titus did not give them the means to control the demons and angels, and because of this it caused them to kill most of if not everybody on the island of Semulicarum to die. The four kings who feared that the angels and demons would stop fighting and might ban together to attack the other four nations, came together and devised a plan to keep the angels an demons on the island of Semulicarum, know known as The Broken Nation. The four sovereigns of the four nations came together and decided on a plan. they would go to the north, East, South and West points of The Broken Nation. They would then use both there force and life in an attempt to seal off the island from the other nations in an attempt to protect there nations and families. They succeeded in erecting the barrier but they payed the ultimate price in exchange for the safety of there nations. and that barrier still stands to this day. but it only stands because the inhabitants of The Broken Nation have been to busy fighting each other to try. The sacrifice of the four kings led to the barrier being named "The Sovereign Shield." The shield still stands to this day letting the world know that they are still safe. until the day that it shatters and the forces of both heaven and hell descend upon this world to finally complete the mission that they were summoned to do. All the kings and queens after the barrier was erected wait with bated and terrified breath wandering if the broken nation will come for them or not. and in this time of unease and excess is where our story ends, and the story of a man named seraph begins.
