Rushing through the shrubbery, Seraph swept his spear through the air. Elde, bounced his long wolf legs off a tree, his head swerving under the spear head as he landed on the ground and bounced up again his claws reaching towards seraph's neck.
Seraph almost broke his neck as he pulled his head back and twisted the spear, the spear suddenly changing course as it pierced toward Elde's unprotected stomach. Elde, once again dodged perfectly, the spear only gliding past its target.
The constant growls and little yips throughout the forest and Seraph's constant grunts and heavy footsteps were the indication of the rough battle shown between man and beast, Only one beast was injured. It's leg was slowly healing because they were young and had no time to rest as they constantly followed seraph.
Seraph's body was full of blood and his brow was laid in sweat. The blood swept over his body and added another layer of blood on top of the crusty old blood that was already on his body. While his sweat constantly poured off of him, he had just woken up and now he was running from a bunch of wolves.
Elde saw the amount of blood seraph should be leaking out… So he charged once more, this time he was aided by the uninjured young wolf. Elde streaked toward seraph, the young wolf jumped in the air landing on the trunk of a tree and then jumped once again its paws outstretched as it pounced toward seraph.
Seraph immediately turned his body, His spear spinning along with him. The pouncing wolf sailed passed him while Elde had to deal with a spear to the face. However, Elde suddenly changed direction making the spear hit air.
Elde was using his full speed, he raised his paw with lightning fast precession and clawed seraph's thigh. Seraph almost immediately toppled to the floor in pain and inability, but he just grit his teeth while he stifled a gasp.
After another minute, Seraph wounds had gotten worse. More deeper cuts were all across his body except his legs which he protected very strictly. The blood loss had made his attacks slower than normal making him have to really plan his next move clearly before he did anything.
It would only take a few more minutes of this constant fighting until seraph eventually just falls down from the blood loss allowing the wolves to set upon him, ripping him apart. These kind of thoughts raged through seraph's mind, it almost made him anxious, However, he knew that he needed to keep his cool in order to do this.
The Wolves had also recognized this, they weren't that worried anymore and were now using their time to walk with seraph. Elde ordered the occasional attack to ensure that the human couldn't counter attack. The Wolf was happy with himself, this could possibly be one of his best works.
It would've been his best work until, clear light passed through the bushes as the human disappeared behind some temporarily. Elde narrowed his eyes as he followed the human only to realize that they were now in some kind of opening, Elde Barked immediately telling his friends to back off.
Seraph had collapsed on the ground, dipping his head into the pond water and taking large gulps from it. The wolves didn't approach seraph like this. Elde had to take a few laps around the clearing to ensure that there was no third party about to rain in on this.
After confirming this, his eyes went back on seraph. They narrowed into tiny slits, the two white dots constantly moving around seraph then eventually landing back on to seraph 'They've found water… They could hold out longer if they drink it. If we wait… then someone else like some adults could steal our kill and take credit…'
Elde growled, The Human turned around spear in hand. The wolves had to come out the clearing making them lose the forest as cover. The wolves pounced, seraph rolled to the side and swept his spear across the wolves who all easily dodged it. Seraph should be tired, bleeding out and he looked weak in strength he was never gonna hit them…
The Wolves saw how weak seraph had become, in the beginning they had to worry extensively about seraph's swings since they were so fast and very deadly but now they could practically dance around the swings.
Seraph whipped his head to the side and leapt into the pond, The wolves had formulated another jointed pounce strike. They had once again missed, Elde had turned his head around after missing the pounce to see their victim now in the water… which made him sigh deeply.
He barked, making the other wolves approach from different directions toward seraph. Elde had joined in attempting to take on seraph head on…
Elde had a wicked grin on his face, Seraph had gotten up from the water. The blood from his calves and the many cuts on the body dropped off, mixing his blood with the pond water. The wolves inched closer to seraph, until they stopped and planted their paws firmly in the bloody water… they started to gather their explosive strength within their four legs until they finally jumped off the ground and into the air.
Seraph watched this, his body moved with unseen reflex and speed. His spear made an arc in the air and then slammed into the water where it made a huge semi circle wave splash around him and onto the wolves. He then dived out of the way of the strike just for safe measure.
It got everywhere, the water had completely drenched the wolves completely. However, they weren't complaining as they began to finally taste the sweet blood of their victim although partially through the water. They shook off their coats, while Elde was staring at the human with undying rage…
To think that the human would do something so cowardly and pointless enraged him, He revealed his teeth as he let out deep inhumane growls that sounded like a distorted engine pumping slowly. The killing intent around the wolf rose through the air, which even made Seraph scared… However, the next moment he revealed a grin as he couldn't be scared when his plan had gone perfectly.
He hurriedly planted his hands into the water, as he hurriedly called the system to 'Activate Purify.'
The blood that was slowly dripping all around him suddenly stopped as his arms were instantly healed, the blood that he had purposely spread to the pond water was now glowing with light amounts of light peeking through them, the wolves that had engulfed these blood particles were also beginning to glow…
However, none of these things glowed brighter than the water. Which immediately lit up all around seraph in a light circle, the scene looked heavenly as if holy lights turned into a liquid and drenched itself all around seraph in that circle, the lights in the water began to spread quickly… a zig zag line of holy light came from the holy water and touched the shore.
Elde had recognized what was happening long ago, however the next moment he attempted to leave the pond he felt burning… an indescribable burning took hold of his figure. He began to cough and wheeze, the wolf felt his entire figure burning so it began to desperately howl. He looked to his other side to find that the other wolves were experiencing something similar however the next instant made him despair as fear completely gripped his heart.
One of the wolves howled into the air, only to be met with his leg slowly turning into dust as peaks of light came out of its mouth and eyes. The wounded leg tip looked cauterized which was extremely painful but that was only the beginning as the wolves other legs began to falter… which pulled him deeper into the water.
The howls of the wolves filled the atmosphere until elde saw the wolves jaw turn into dust preventing it from continuing to howl. Elde began to rush out of the water, its instinct to survive and willpower making it able to withstand the burning… However he soon realized how far he really was from the shore.
His legs attempted to carry him there, however the pure dense holy mana surged through his being. It first got rid of his legs… making him howl out in pain. Then it slowly got rid of its face, its howls had descended into gurgling as he slowly began to drown in the holy water… This process went on for half an hour until the wolf and their bodies were completely gone.
Leaving a sleeping seraph in the pond, leaning on his spear.
