Gray widened his eyes as soon as he saw his things outside the door of his apartment. He gasped and rubbed his forehead with a disappointed look.
Miss Ren, his landlady, bowed her head. "I'm really sorry, Aiden, but my brother already settled the payment with the new tenants," she said worriedly, looking at Gray. "I'm really sorry,"
Gray couldn't do anything but to rub the back of his neck. "It's okay Miss Ren, I understand what you're trying to say."
As soon as the lady left, he bent down and picked up all of his things. He just got kicked out of his apartment because he couldn't pay the last rent. Even though he already knew that it was coming, he still forgot to ask Calix about his salary.
Gray sighed, "It's too late to ask for my salary though, someone already occupied my apartment" he mumbled to himself, trudging towards the stairs.
