As they exited the car, a smile stretches Tae Jun's lips. The wide area of the amusement Park welcomed him.
"Let's go," Taehyun smiled at him as he pushed the wheelchair towards the pathway. A man wearing pants and a white shirt with different colors of balloons in his hands approached them. Of course, since Taehyun wanted to make his twin brother happy, he brought one. He even rented the entire amusement park for a day. The guards watch the gates, so it's safe.
Tae Jun mentioned to him that he wanted to go here. Even if he's not a kid anymore, he wanted to be here with Taehyun. All the vendors are present, so it will look like an ordinary visit to the said place.
"Here, my twin brother," Taehyun smiled as he reached the balloon to Tae Jun. The balloon man bowed his head and walked away. He became more amused when the other male tied the balloon around his wrist. It floated above his head like a navigator.
The two laughed and strode the pathway once again. "Where do you want to go?" Taehyun asked, while wandering his eyes around. He tightened his grip on the wheelchair handle after feeling the chilly afternoon air. The coldness of loneliness.
He bent down, "Aren't you cold?" He pulled the coat covering Tae Jun. "Tell me if you feel something, kay?"
Tae Jun averted his gaze and yelled. "Let's play the shooting game!" At their right side was a stall with stuffed toys hanging on the wall. He also pushed himself in so much excitement. "I want to try that!" he exclaimed like a child.
Taehyun almost laughed upon seeing the other males's expression. They stopped in front of the stall and asked for two toy guns. "Do you really think you can shoot better than me?" he smirked as he pulled his gun's trigger. He hit nothing.
"Ha Ha Ha!!!" Tae Jun scoffed and laughed his heart out after seeing the result. His twin brother didn't hit anything. His smile stretches his lips up to his ears, very wide. "You didn't even hit it," he mocked.
Taehyun put the gun down and crossed his arms. "It's just a mistake," he snorted while secretly glancing at the other male. After hearing him laugh, he felt delighted. He really did it on purpose. He didn't come here to play, he just wanted to make Tae Jun happy.
They didn't have a happy childhood, and it became more complicated when they grew up, so at least, for now, when everything was going back to its place. He wanted to make up for all his mistakes. Taehyun couldn't hide it, but tried to smile.
Doctor Shin already told him that Tae Jun only had one month to live. Funny, right? It's too soon and late for him to know. This made his chest tighten.
"Look!!! I hit it!!"
Taehyun snapped back from his deep thoughts and patted Tae Jun's head. "You are so good," he complimented. But the other male just pouted, "I want to hit the big one to get the bear, but I ended up hitting the small one which is only equivalent to the small cat." Tae Jun snorted.
"Ehh?" Taehyun pretended to be shocked as he secretly winked at the stall man. "What's the prize for that, Mister?" he asked.
The stall man cleared his throat. "We have a special promo today, the smallest one is equivalent to the big bear." he turned around and took the big brown bear from the wall. He reached it to Tae Jun and smiled. "Here's your prize,"
Tae Jun paused for a while with his elating eyes. He couldn't believe that this was what it feels to win in a shooting game. "R-REALLY??!! THIS IS MINE??!!" He asked, looking alternately to the bear and to the stall man.
"Well, it looks like luck is on your side today," Taehyun pouted. "I didn't even hit anything,"
Tae Jun felt the guilt, so he fell silent and glanced at Taehyun. "You can have this," he said, reaching the big bear to his twin brother. "I will leave this to you,"
"Look!! There are fishes there!" Taehyun quickly exclaimed. "If you caught one, they will give you a prize," he smiled and pushed the wheelchair.
Tae Jun forgot what he was going to say as he jolted in the direction where they were going. They arrived at another stall with a round basin in the middle. The stall lady gave them a fishing net. "If you caught the biggest fish, you can take it home."
It made Tae Jun again elated. He really wanted a pet since he's a child, but because of his condition, their parents didn't let him. He wanted to raise a dog with Taehyun; he wanted them to have a strong bond. "I will try it!!"
Taehyun also picked the other fishing net. "You really think you can catch one?" he asked, teasing the male again.
Tae Jun pouts, "Of course! If I don't catch one, you will catch it for me...I have really wanted to have a pet since we were little." He snorted. "I remember when you blurted out that you like a dog when we were eating dinner with mom and dad, that day, I picked up a stray puppy in the streets to surprise you…" he stared at the fishes. "But dad found out before you went home from school, so he threw it away,"
Taehyun froze. He completely fell silent and turned to stone. He felt his heart being squeezed into small pieces. It made him bite his lower lip and suppress the small sob that was going to let out. Only he realized that he's too lucky to have a twin brother like Tae Jun.
"I GOT ONE!!!!!"
Tae Jun yelled his heart out when he caught a medium size fish. The stall lady transferred the fish from the bucket to a round empty jar full of water. She placed it on Tae Jun's lap. "Here's your fish,"
He happily pulled Taehyun's sleeves and asked. "Come on! Let's give it a name"
