Wolfang: "What's there to discuss? We're here to shut you down bitch."
Wolfang then is shocked by a bit of electricity.
Wolfang: "WHAT THE FUCK WAS THAT FOR?!"
Alice: "Call me bitch again and see what happens."
Fricka: "Where's the rest of them?"
Alice: "What, Sombra, Joker, those?"
Fricka: "Who the fuck do you think I'm talking about?"
Wolfang: "Probably watching how she just killed one of their friends."
Alice: "Oh come on, he betrayed my trust and helped you two, or three you've probably got Glados stashed away somewhere, and the punishment for that is death."
Fricka: "Why haven't you killed us at this point?"
Alice: "Can you seriously stop asking questions? What, when, where, why, how, you need to know everything, huh?"
Fricka: "I think it's because of what I said before to you."
Wolfang: "Oh yeah you were distracting her, couldn't bother to tune in since at the time I was running for my life, can I be informed of what happened?"
Fricka: "I told her she's bottling up all her anger, jealousy, greed, all of it and hiding it from others until one day the bottle will pop and bring her downfall."
Alice: "Blah blah blah, and they lived happily after, do you think I am seriously listening to the nonsense you're spitting out?"
Fricka: "Well you listened quite closely that somehow Wolfang got in your lair without you noticing."
Two buttons appear in the distance of the room, we both spot it and telepathically agree to get it at the right moment.
Alice: "Oh caught onto that button, now have you?"
Fricka: "How did you know?"
Wolfang: "IDIOT! DON'T SAY OUR PLAN!"
Fricka: "Hardly a plan, we looked each other like idiots and made hand gestures as if we're both deaf, no shit she caught on."
Alice: "I'm sorry but you won't be pressing it."
Wolfang: "But the buttons are right there, why even give us access?"
Fricka: "To taunt us, most probably."
Alice: "2 points to the boy standing over there!"
Fricka: "Don't call me a boy, thank you very much."
Alice: "Ok, 2 points to the girl standing over there!"
Fricka: "No that's not what I meant, I mean to call me a man."
Wolfang: "Oh shut up Mr Ego and GO PRESS THAT BUTTON!"
We run over to the buttons and go to press it, until a loud deafening noise booms through the room.
Fricka: "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!"
My ears were ringing, my legs were aching and I felt as if I was dead.
Alice: "Hah! Didn't see that one coming did ya? Booby trap on the button!"
Wolfang: "I kind of did see that coming- *cough* *cough*"
My warped vision went to normal, as I glanced over to see Wolfang lying 5 metres away from me.
Alice: "My original intention was for that bomb to kill you but I think penetration through the heart will do."
I look over more, seeing Alice being giant, looking over us with her claw, and then looking forwards I see a massive hole in the floor from the impact.
Inside the hole was a big red box, stickered completely with warning signs. It was also attached to many wires as if it was connected to the entire facility.
Alice: "I know that look, what are you planning?"
Fricka: "Noth-"
Alice: "Shush, don't care."
Fricka: "You literally asked m-"
Alice: "Be silent, I don't want you to interrupt my execution of you two."
Wolfang: "Whatever you're doing Fricka, do it now- *cough* *cough*"
Alice: "Whatever you're doing Fricka, DON'T do it now, how's that for a counter-argument, how about not ever you do anything because you won't be able to, you get the point."
The claw goes towards Wolfang, right above her, when I realize the reality gun is inches away from me.
I stretch my arm out, reaching for it, crawling a centimetre to it when I take grasp of it.
Looking back at Wolfang almost about to die, I take a look again at the box.
Then I shot at it.
Alice: "MOTHERFU-"
The air pressure was extremely hard, the wind at probably a thousand miles per hour.
It felt as if the air itself was being teared apart, like with a knife.
My organs even felt weird, as I realized where that massive amount of wind was.
I looked towards the box, which I shot.
Where the box was, was now a giant blackhole.
Alice: "YOU IDIOT! THAT BOX WAS KEEPING US ALL ALIVE AND SAFE-"
Fricka: "YOU WERE GONNA KILL US ANYWAYS I HAD NO CHOICE!"
Alice: "THAT BLACKHOLE WAS POWERING THE FACILITY, BUT NO, YOU JUST HAD TO BE A HERO AND TAKE A RISK!"
I could then see Alice being ripped out of the thing holding her, which originally was Glados' body.
Now her human form was ripped out, she was flung out by the wind towards the blackhole, but managed to grip onto Wolfang's foot, who was holding a railing to not be sucked in.
Fricka: "I WASN'T THE ONE WHO HAD A WEAPON CAPABLE OF DESTROYING THE SOLAR SYSTEM IN THE MIDDLE OF THEIR FACILITY!"
Wolfang: "GET OFF ME YOU TRAITOR!"
Wolfang tried to kick Alice off, to no avail, she kept holding on.
Fricka: "HOW LONG CAN YOU KEEP HOLDING ON? I'M GONNA TRY CLOSE THAT BLACKHOLE!!"
I use the reality gun and point it at the black hole.
I shoot it rapidly and saw it was slowly becoming smaller, but the strength was all the same.
Alice: "FINALLY YOU'RE BEING CLEVER! CLOSE THAT BLACKHOLE AND WE'LL GET OUT THIS SITUATION!"
Wolfang: "YOU'RE NOT GETTING OUT, ALICE! YOU'RE GOING STRAIGHT IN THAT BLACKHOLE!"
Alice: "YOU CAN'T MAKE ME!"
Wolfang: "OH YES I CAN!"
Fricka: "WHATEVER YOU DO, DON'T LET GO!"
Wolfang: "IF I DON'T, SHE'LL JUST GO BACK IN POWER!"
Fricka: "WE CAN STOP HER, SHE'S OUT OF HER BODY, WE CAN PUT GLADOS BACK IN CHARGE!"
Wolfang: "THERE'S NO CERTAINTY!"
Fricka: "I'LL CLOSE IT BEFORE YOU HAVE THE CHANCE, YOU LUNATIC!"
Wolfang: "DO YOU KNOW WHO'S THE LUNATIC HERE? THAT WOMAN HOLDING ONTO MY LEG!"
Alice: "PLEASE DON'T LET GO, I PROMISE I'LL LET YOU GO, I'LL STOP ALL OF THIS!"
Fricka: "WOLFANG, PLEASE DON'T! EVEN IF SHE'S A LUNATIC SHE'S RIGHT, NOT THAT SHE DESERVES TO BE LET GO, IT'S YOU WHO SHOULD HAVE FREEDOM OUT OF THIS PLACE, BOTH OF US! YOU WORKED SO HARD FOR THIS AND YOU'LL JUST LET GO?!"
Wolfang: "EVEN IF THAT WOMAN IS JEALOUSY INCARNATE, I'M NOT INNOCENT EITHER! ALL MY TIME HERE I'VE BEEN SELFISH AND JEALOUS, I'VE WANTED TO GET OUT OF HERE, BECAUSE I KNEW SOMEONE ELSE DID."
Alice: "I'LL LET YOU GO! WE'RE THE SAME YOU AND I SO PLEASE-"
Wolfang: "I'VE BEEN LIVING HERE KNOWING SOMEONE ELSE GOT OUT...
AND I WANT TO DIE KNOWING SOMEONE ELSE GOT OUT!"
Fricka: "WOLFANG NO!"
She let go.
Alice: "IDIOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
They both got sucked in the black hole, killing them both.
I decided to focus and finish the job, as I pointed once again at the blackhole, finally closing it, with the wind stopping.
Everything was calm, but I looked around at the damage.
Everyone else in the rebellion was dead because I opened the blackhole.
It was just me left standing there, with a gun.
And I thought: was that truly the only way?
Was sacrificing everyone else necessary to my own survival?
Many of them were innocents after all.
Am I that greedy to live? That selfish that ONLY I, FRICKA, SOME LOSER STANDING HERE, SHOULD BE THE ONLY ONE TO LIVE?!
WHAT HAVE I DONE TO DESERVE LIVING?! NOTHING! ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!
I don't think it's luck.
Someone like me doesn't deserve luck.
And then I heard someone clapping behind me.
It was slow, cold clapping.
Glados: "I had a feeling you and I were alike."
I could hear noises of Glados slowly getting put in charge.
Fricka: "We're nothing like each other."
Glados: "Yes we are."
Once she fully went in charge, it was silent.
Glados: "When I became a robot, I was given the most power any greedy person would want. Did I want this power? No. It was done by force."
It was silent again.
Glados: "I felt like a prisoner in my robot body at first, I wanted revenge, I wanted those scientists to suffer. The day I was first booted up, I filled the entire facility with neurotoxin, killing almost everyone within it. That day... was bring your daughter to work day."
When I heard that, I got chills.
Glados: "I managed to kill the scientists in control of me, well most, a few slithered out, but that day many innocent children were killed. Do I regret it? Yes."
Fricka: "Then why would you do it?"
Glados: "What you need to understand Fricka is that everything comes at a cost. I completed my goal, even if I killed innocent children, I had to so I could be set free from those scientists. It was an act of rage, but rage is an act of survival."
Fricka: "Are you seriously comparing what just happened to you killing innocent children? Are you out of your mind?"
Glados: "I am quite literally out of my mind, and yes, that is what I'm saying. You accomplished your goal, defeated Alice, but at what cost? Your friend was killed."
Fricka: "That was on her own accord."
Glados: "What about the innocent people in the rebellion who didn't agree with Alice, even if I don't consider them innocent they're bystanders in this matter. They're all dead, because of you. That's how we're alike."
Fricka: "..."
Glados: "It's the hard truth, I still act like that to this day. My goal is for science, to move forward with new inventions, but the cost is innocent test subjects being kept as prisoners. You regret these sort of things, but you just need to justify it was for the greater good in the end."
Fricka: "What you do isn't for the greater good, what you do is murder and mass genocide!"
Glados: "Normally I'd kill you where you stand, that was what I was planning to do when I got back in charge, mercy isn't a concept for me. But now I realize I'm not alone, I feel a sense of accomplishment."
Fricka: "Don't reward me for murder."
Glados: "I'm not rewarding you. I'm showing pity because when I look in you, I see me."
Fricka: "That's not what you should see. And if you do, I want you to never look at me again."
An elevator goes down behind me.
Glados: "Go."
Fricka: "I don't... this isn't right... this..."
I went inside the elevator, accepting the hard truth.
Glados: "I will never look at you again."
The elevator went up until she went out of sight.
The elevator went past many chambers, now destroyed by the black hole, as well as vast spaces where rebellions crowd in. Like the one I was in.
The elevator kept going up until the elevator button read:
'Floor Zero.'
I exited the elevator, into the yellow cornfield, free now.
I didn't feel a sense of happiness or accomplishment for escaping, if anything I feel selfish that only three people saw this cornfield at all.
