"Make sure to eat up baby. You're going to need strength to keep going throughout the day. Oh yeah, take a lunchbox with you. It wouldn't be good to eat cafeteria food." Mrs. Tuhs handed over a lunchbox that was in a maid's hands.
Astrid took the lunchbox and looked down at it. 'I haven't eaten much apart from that soup. I wonder what she made.'
"Ah, these clothes are no good. No, no. Grab the crimson bag in the corner there." Mrs. Tuhs ordered the maid as she frowned at Astrid's bag.
Astrid was wearing her black dress, along with ankle-high boots... Mrs. Tuhs dressed her daughter in all black. But Astrid managed to look cute instead of depressing. With a white wide hat, a platinum necklace around her neck. She currently looked like the embodiment of a rich lolita...
Well, that wasn't entirely false. But Astrid just stayed still and allowed her mother to give her a different bag.
After being satisfied with what she saw, Mrs. Tuhs gave Astrid a smooch on her cheek.
"Oh baby. Make sure to do your best in school okay? Daddy will take you and Winoa for today." Mrs. Tuhs suddenly felt her eyes become sore.
Astrid nodded. "Okay." Astrid and Mrs. Tuhs walked over to the garage, to be met with Mr. Tuhs small car collection.
He wasn't a massive fan of vehicles, he only used them to drive his wife and daughter when he wanted to go with them somewhere. All of the cars were mainly gifts from family or aspiring business partners.
"Young Miss! You look really pretty! Come, Master decided to take this car." Winoa practically dragged Astrid into the car.
The car was low-profile. It looked relatively similar to a car in Astrid's old world... But she never paid attention to cars before.
Astrid was put in the back alongside Winoa, while Mr. Tuhs was outside making sure his wife didn't bawl her eyes out.
"Uncle Stephan." Astrid greeted the man in the passenger seat.
Stephan was man Astrid had previous contact with, being Mr. Tuhs most trusted man meant he had the honor to come into contact with the guarded family.
"Young Miss, it's good to see you so healthy again. Your father is floating on clouds every day because of you!" Stephan joked... No wait, that was the truth.
Winoa smiled in response. The entire house had been reinvigorated with Astrid's health improving. Her situation was so dire. She didn't eat, couldn't get out of bed. And was under constant care from her mother.
"Mm." Astrid didn't say anything in response.
Stephan had a sense of surprise within him. Looking back at Astrid... 'It seems she has grown up. No longer running around calling me uncle Stephan. Sob'
Mr. Tuhs opened the door to get in. "Baby! Make sure to do your best! Mummy loves you! Have a good day! Winoa make sure Astrid doesn't get bullied!" Mrs. Tuhs was bawling her eyes out as she rapidly spoke.
Winoa scratched her neck in embarrassment. "I know Madam." She inwardly was quite embarrassed as Stephan was someone she wasn't entirely used to being around.
*Sigh* "Come on dear. She's only going to be gone for 6 hours." Mr. Tuhs got into the car and joked. Making his wife feel aggrieved.
'6 hours! That's 6 hours where our baby could fall and hurt herself! Hmph, you'll not be eating later.' Mrs. Tuhs inwardly decided, she knew her husband was keeping a tough front. He was as worried if not more than her...
"Bye mother. I'll do my best." Astrid spoke monotonously, this was a long-winded sentence.
Mrs. Tuhs nodded with a wide smile as she waved off the car which started to drive away.
.......
Giovanti Private School. Being a child of rich parents. Astrid clearly was given the best education possible.
It was a school dealing with 12-16-year-olds. With an option to stay longer for higher qualifications.
The cream of the crop, Giovanti Private School had formerly housed many geniuses in the country. It was among the top 40 schools in the world.
Within Italy, no other school had the reputation of this school. With its mighty main building that was the size of Astrid's house. And 3 side buildings barely smaller, the school had the best resources pumped into it. The school had connections to many outside establishments too, with many falling under the school to add to the curriculum.
Sports, science, film producing, music, geography. Anything possible to learn in the world, the school could provide.
The street was completely empty. Only cars coming in to park and then leave. Many cars were chauffeured by drivers.
The clear street was to allow the utmost safety in case of a crash. The school would not want to deal with tycoons having their children being in an accident...
Mr. Tuhs parked behind a couple of cars and looked back to Astrid and Winoa.
Winoa was calm, she went to the school before Astrid became completely bed-ridden. She hadn't slacked on learning either. She needed to be able to attend to her Young Miss after all...
"Mm, make sure not to address Astrid Winoa. Just stay away from any troubles you might face and call for me. Ah, baby. Make sure to try your best okay?" Mr. Tuhs had a proud smile on his face.
'Look! All of those doctors said it would be a miracle if my daughter could ever walk again! Having Siccily care for her was the best decision I ever made. Now she is going back to school! Mwahaha!'
Mr. Tuhs was beaming, while Stephan just sighed. 'Everyone might get a shock this morning. Not only will the boss be late! But he will be in a fantastic mood!'
"Mm, I'll do my best father." Astrid emotionlessly promised.
Mr. Tuhs nodded. "Good! Doing your best is all that matters. I'll pick you up when you're finished, just lookout for this car." He then decided to go home early from work...
Stephan facepalmed. 'God! Our staff might have a heart attack if you leave after lunch! They wouldn't know when to finish themselves.'
"Yes Master. Come on Y-A-Astrid, the teachers like punctuality." Winoa was embarrassed to call Astrid by name. The last she did was when she was too young to understand her position. She didn't want to be impertinent.
Mr. Tuhs nodded. "Mm, go, go. Even if you are late, just tell me and those teachers won't say anything about it." Stephan's eyebrows twitched at those words.
'Jeez Master! Will you be buying shares in the school or something? Wait... Why am I here in this car in the first place?'
Astrid nodded. As Winoa opened the door and helped Astrid out gently. Winoa slightly blushed at the sight of Astrid's pale hand being in hers.
'Jeez! I'm pure! No, get those weird thoughts out of my head. No more romance novels.'
Astrid then judged that Winoa's hands were extremely warm. While hers were quite cold. 'Is this body cold-blooded? Is that the reason?' She still couldn't understand why her body was cold all the time.
Winoa closed the door and gave a nod to Mr. Tuhs, now they were at school, it was her job to ensure Astrid was okay!
Mr. Tuhs sat watching her daughter slowly walk under the grand archways into school. His eyes then turned steely. "Stephan, make sure to make me the top shareholder in the school by lunch. Or at least make a favorable impression. Remember, keep it under wraps." Mr. Tuhs ordered.
'Wow, I must be a genius...' Stephan then chuckled to himself, as he opened the door. "Of course, Young Miss will see no issues at school." He closed the door afterward. As he entered the school out of sight of Astrid and Winoa.
Inside the car, Mr. Tuhs had a chilling aura. He picked up his phone and dialed a number.
"Ah, Howard. You've told me enough times already. I'm a teacher, of course, I'll protect my students. Also, since my good friend's daughter is at my new school... She will be protected too." The voice on the end of the line seemed aged, he was calm as he expected this call.
"I appreciate it, The girl beside her is her attendant. Treat her the same, she is highly trustworthy." Mr. Tuhs spoke chillingly, the protection of his daughter was crucial!
"Of course, just make sure to not lose too much hair over it. The students are only 14 years old. I don't think having so many bodyguards protecting her at school is necessary." The man commented, as a metallic sound came from the other side.
'Only 14 years old? Old man, you know how cruel children can be. I dug my head in the sand before. It's the thing that eats my heart at night. Anything that happens to her this time, will be dealt by me.' Mr. Tuhs inwardly thought. As a frostbitten look appeared in his eyes.
