Chapter 1 - Where I am right now: My Crazy Roommate

This is me today. This is me right now. On Sunday of this week in March, I moved out of my dorm and into my boyfriends frat apartment as well as into my friends room. The reason that I took such drastic action? It was actually a long list of reasons. I will provide all of them of course, but it will take time for me to get them out.

My boyfriend sits in the living room, getting ready for his flag football IM game. Last night he played basketball, winning his games. I was of course so proud. He had told me that he knew my roommate was crazy, but she was a friend from high school. She wasn't like that in high school. "She never would get black out drunk like this in high school," I would assure him, "she just isn't used to it! She will go back to the like-able person she was in high school."

"Ok, my love. I will do my best to make sure nothing happens." He would say.

All in all, my crazy roommate got banned from the fraternity for: harassing the guys, being rude and crude to them, trying to force them to do what she wanted, and for blacking out all the time and refusing to listen when being babysat, not that anyone wanted to babysit but there was just nothing else that could be done!

The straw broke for me very recently. She was being rude to me as well as attempting to get me to cheat on my boyfriend. She was yelling at me, calling my new roommate a slut. She would tell me that every guy wanted her. She would talk down to me harshly and rudely. I am not a patient person, but I had patience with her because she had been a friend in high school. I always pushed back, but I didn't try to hurt her. Eventually, it fell too hard. She went after my family. She broke my personal items. She tried to order me around. She left a close friend in the spins and very drunk and inexperienced in the dorm, and I didn't know that she was there so I was at my boyfriend's place. She did this because there was a guy who she had previously hated and wanted to have beat up was interested in hooking up with her.

I thought that it was so messed up. She then decided to refuse to pay me back, trying to get girls who had been blacked out to say that they knew that nothing happened, even though two of them said they thought they remembered it. She did many other things, things that I will get through as I continue going.

One of the worst nights I remember was when she pretended to be suicidal, as she later admitted, because she wanted to have attention on her. Another noticeable mention is when she ran away because she thought that I stole her purse when she was black out drunk and she could very well see it.

The first night in question was a concert night. She had promised not to get too messed up, but she did it anyway. She began to cry when we tried to relax while waiting for the concert. We took her to the room and she laid on the mattress of the brother's house that was right across from the concert venue. She told me that she hated me, and I told her no you don't. She insisted that we go because she was tired. She hadn't even thrown up that night, so she should have been just fine! We went to the concert. During said concert she blocked myself, my boyfriend, and everyone that we were with. When we got back we would see that she also had left the room and put in the brother's VBS 1 diamond earrings, which she had found in his pill bottles. I was horrified that she had gone through his medicine! She also had no regard for his personal property, something obvious since she had his earrings in her ears. I was horrified. This was an absolute red flag, especially since she said a few weeks later that she had lied about being suicidal when we got back that night, when we waited with her and tried to comfort her and even tried to convince her to seek help.

She admitted that she had just wanted attention and thought that that would be the best way to achieve this attention that she had a craving for. That night was an absolutely horrible night.
