Ocean Village
Night
The S.S DreamChaser was no more. Gone was the possibility of continuing the adventure across the ocean. Gone were everyone's belongings, including the paintings that Daniel had once cherished. The only thing that remained in what once was the DreamChaser was the sails floating on the surface of the water.
Those who managed to survive the entire ordeal, were now on their way back to the Ocean Village. The male blockhead in charge was doing a headcount. His name was Carl. As he completed the headcount, it became apparent that everyone who was on the ship had survived. Thank goodness.
Daniel was sitting next to Ceres. Merlin and Leona were sitting next to him as well. Together, they all remained quiet. But not for long though. Toby was sitting near the front of the boat with some other blockheads.
"Looks like everyone's here," Carl said as he turned around and took a seat next to two of his friends. His friends were tagging along to assist in the rescue mission. He couldn't have done it without them.
As Daniel was looking around at everyone, he had this strange feeling that someone was missing. Where is Elena and Robert? The last he had seen of them was before the explosion. That's the last he saw of them.
"Hey!" He said as he stood up from his seat. Carl turned around, looking over his right shoulder at Daniel.
"Yes?" Carl said.
"We're missing two blockheads," Daniel mentioned as he looked around at everyone once more to double check. He wanted to make sure that what he was claiming was true. And, you guessed right, they were. "We need to turn back and go find them. Please!"
Carl shook his head. He smiled faintly so that he wouldn't be as rude as he wanted to be. "I'm sorry. It'll have to wait until morning. If we go back, those Sirens will overthrow this boat. Then we'll all be in a pickle. Again, I'm sorry. I'll send a search team out in the morning."
Daniel was at a loss for words. How could he be so cruel like that? Doesn't saving everyone mean saving everyone? Not just a few, but all? Without trying to argue with Carl, Daniel sat back down and crossed his arms. Ceres glanced over at him, resting his hand on Daniel's back.
"I'm sure they'll be okay," Ceres said, "don't try and fight it. We don't want a repeat of last time you did that. Just remain calm. Everything will be okay."
Daniel looked back over at Ceres. Ceres could sense the anger building up inside of Daniel. He was worried that sooner or later Daniel was going to end up doing something he'd regret doing. Let's try and avoid that, okay?
"And how are you so sure they're okay?" Daniel asked, "heck, for all we know, they could be at the bottom of the ocean. Or maybe the Sirens captured them? Endless theories as to where they could be right now."
Ceres sighed heavily. He continued to rub Daniel's back. Up and down, up and down on his back. If one thing was for certain, it was that Ceres understood his feelings. He's already lost enough friends; and he wasn't quite ready to lose anymore. There was nothing that Ceres could do to soothe Daniel's emotions and how was feeling.
"Wherever they may be, I'm sure they're fine," Ceres said, "what's the worst that could happen?"
"Sirens," Daniel responded, "that's what could happen to them. Or sharks, or guardians. Anything could've happened to them."
Right after Daniel had answered Ceres' question, a male blockhead shouted as he hopped up out of his seat. He was pointing over at the incoming Village ahead. "There it is! The Village. Right over there."
Everyone got up out of their seats staring over into the direction of where the male blockhead was pointing. The light illuminating from the Village was so bright that you could see the Village from afar. The blockhead driving the boat began turning the wheel. Not long after he did that, the boat began turning slowly.
"Look," Ceres told Daniel as he pointed over at the Village, "at least we'll be safe there for tonight. I'm certain that everyone else is thinking the exact same thing. The least we could do is express our gratitude and appreciation. These blockheads came to our assistance when we needed it most. If it weren't for them, we could've been the Sirens' next feast. Which would you have preferred?"
Daniel slowly nodded his head as he glanced over to his left at Ceres. He scoffed. "You got me there, Ceres. How clever."
As the boat sailed closer and closer to the Village, everyone onboard grew anxious. The quicker they arrive, the faster they could get off of the rescue boat. After tonight, no one wanted to be anywhere near water, muchless swim around in it.
A Siren had slowly raised her head slightly out of the water. Only her eyes were above water. Two more Sirens joined her in staring at the rescue boat. Selma raised her head completely out of the water.
"Aren't we going to go after them?" Alana asked Selma.
"No. Didn't work last time, won't work this time," Selma said, "I have a better idea."
"What's your idea?" Alana asked.
"It'll be something they'll never see coming. That's the plan," Selmo responded.
Immediately thereafter, Selma went back down into the water. Alana and the others did the same. One moment, they're here, the next they're gone. As they all began swimming away underwater, the rescue boat had finally come to a complete stop right next to a floating wooden pier. Carl walked over to the side of the boat, leaping up onto the pier after he did that. The blockhead who drove the boat to and from the scene of where the DreamChaser had sunk, picked up a rope. He tossed it over to Carl. Carl then began tying the rope around the mooring anchor.
As Carl was tying the rope around the mooring anchor, everyone who had been rescued began getting off of the boat in a hurry. Getting out of the water was everyone's first priority. Now that everyone was safe, they could now get a good night's sleep and eat.
"How is your Village floating in the middle of the ocean?" Daniel asked as Carl tightened the rope as tight as he could. After he finished doing that he stood back up, glancing directly at Daniel.
He could see that Daniel was amazed at how cool this actually was. Who would've thought that a Village could float on water. He needed to know how this was even possible. So, he decided to begin asking Carl some questions.
"It's simple really," Carl said as he brushed his hands together a couple of times, "Murdoch, a Wizard and a friend of mine cast a spell. It's the spell that is keeping this Village afloat. Without it, there'd be no floating Village today."
"How long has your Village been at sea?" Daniel asked, "there's a reason for this isn't there?"
"There is," Carl said, "and to answer your question, we've been floating around the ocean for a few years give or take. We used to be on land, but just as we thought we were safe, the inevitable happened. One night, a long time ago, my Village was attacked by a large herd of zombies and Endermen. We didn't stand a chance against them. So we had all decided it was time to make a change. And just like that, the floating Village was born."
"Interesting," Daniel said as the both of them began walking down the pier. Once they reunited with the others, everyone focused their attention on the two of them. All they were doing was silently staring at them. Daniel and Carl could sense the anger building up inside of everyone. Whatever they say next, they must choose their words wisely.
The other Villagers who inhabited this Village all came walking out of their homes to see what all the commotion was about. Were the others being too loud? Did any of them need help with anything? There was only one way to find out.
"Is anyone hungry? Tired perhaps?" Daniel asked.
Everyone nodded their heads all together. Daniel then glanced over at Carl. "You wouldn't happen to have some spare beds would you Carl?" Daniel asked.
Carl nodded and faintly smiled. "We do. I'll also have my friend cook up some meat for you all. Don't worry everyone. You're safe now. No Siren can hurt you as long as you're here. Now let's try to relax, eat some food, and then get a good night's sleep. We have a busy day ahead of us tomorrow."
As they began making way for the Chef's house to get some food, things far away from where they were weren't going very well. Far from it actually. Selma and Alana, along with their sisters, were preparing to create something so deadly, that if you were in its way you'd be sucked underwater.
What all the Sirens were spawning was not an earthquake or a hurricane. They were spawning a tsunami. They were all very adamant on getting their revenge on those blockheads who killed their Queen. None of them were going to stop until those blockheads got what they deserved. Their Queen's death will be avenged one way or another.
The Village had no idea what was coming their way. By morning, it'll be far too late to try and escape the tsunami fast enough. Once the tsunami had finished what it was intended to do, the Sirens would all be waiting anxiously in the water. Oh, how none of them could wait to finally be able to take those blockheads who killed their Queen hostage.
But wherever evil goes, goodness always follows. The villain never wins, but the hero always does. All the Sirens had to do was watch out for the soldiers of the sea; or better known as Minelantians. If they got word of what the Sirens were doing the Minelantians would stop them from taunting and terrorizing innocent blockheads like Daniel and everyone else.
