Xiao Han then saw who the sender was.
"Xiao Fan, you are dead." He saids it under his breath, and gives the phone back to Xu Mi.
He runs back upstairs, and opens the door without a knock.
Xiao Fan turns around, and quickly puts both of his hands up. "What's up bro?" as he saids with a smile on his face.
"Xiao Fan, are you still a kid? Going through my things without asking me, and sending Xu Mi that?"
Xia Han closes the door behind him, and walks closer to his brother with his fist ready.
"Xiao Han, I'm telling you," as he shifts back. "Don't think that now you are a trained soldier, you can do whatever you want. I'm your big brother, okay."
Xiao Han gives him a hit on the stomach.
"Just because you are my brother, I'm going easy on you. Don't ever let me catch you doing that again." Xiao Han walks out the room, and walks into his room slamming the door from behind.
"What's with that kid. Such a big attitude," Zhang Li saids, as she tells Xu Mi to come over and eat fruits.
Xu Mi eats her apples as she looks upstairs, and wonder what's that about.
After taking a shower, Xu Mi lays on her bed and takes out her phone.
Five years ago, when Xu Mi's only 13 and Xiao Han is 21, she secretly wrote a letter to him. Xu Mi is the only child in the family, so when she was little, she would always follow the Xiao's brothers.
She sees Xiao Fan as an older brother that'll look after her, and Xiao Han is someone who bullies her.
Even Xu Mi wonders if she's okay. How could she fall for someone like this?
But after finding out that Xiao Han has to go to training, she felt like she had to tell him. She's scared that if she doesn't tell him now, then it'll be harder to say.
Xu Mi didn't know what she was even thinking. A 13 years old that is confessing to a 21 years old.
She didn't think much, and saw the next day she woke up early. Xiao Han has a habit of taking morning runs, so she waits outside of his house.
"Why are you here so early?" as Xiao Han came back from his run.
Xu Mi's face starts to blush.
"Are you sick or something?" as he asks and touches her forehead.
Xu Mi shakes her head.
She grips on the letter with heads, and then shove it to him. Before he could ask anything, she ran back to the house.
From that day on, Xu Mi didn't know if he even read it or what. He didn't say anything, and Xu Mi didn't ask.
And just an hour ago, that picture that Xiao Fan sent made Xu Mi's heart beat.
"He kept the letter. And he wrote 'wait till you're old enough.'"
Xu Mi's heart starts beating so fast. "What does he mean?" as she asks herself.
"Was that a yes?" as she wonders.
That night Xu Mi couldn't fall asleep, and the next day two dark eye bags formed on her face.
"Played games all night?" as her mother asks while putting breakfast on the table.
Xu Mi puts her head on the table. "It's worse than playing games."
She yawns and takes the chopsticks to eat her noodles.
Two weeks later…
Ever since that day, Xu Mi haven't seen Xiao Han.
Xiao Fan said that there's an emergency, and Xiao Han has to go back to the unit.
In less than a month, Xu Mi is gonna start college. But all summer long, she has been doing nothing besides laying here and there. All her friends went to visit their family, leaving her in the city with no one.
Xu Mi lays on the chair outside her porch, and watches people go by.
"Wish time can speed pass by," as she saids and held out her mangas to read.
Suddenly, a black SUV swoops by and parks outside of her house.
"Who are you?" as Xu Mi yells. She didn't wear her glasses, so she ain't sure who it is.
She saw that person walks out the door, and seems like it's looking at her.
Xu Mi grabs her glasses, and sees a tall man with sunglasses standing right in front of her already.
"Yo-you're back?" as she asks. 'Why does he always have to make such a big entrance when coming back.' Xu Mi wants to ask him that, but she kept that to herself.
"Want me to take you on a ride?" as Xiao Han saids.
"Huh?" as she didn't hear what he said or thought she heard it wrong.
"I said, do you want to take a car ride?"
Xu Mi glances at the black SUV, and then strongly nods her head. Of course she's going. She's been so bored staying at home, and so she went with him.
