Phantom Strike was the one cultivation skill that propelled Mirko from a simple orphaned servant to being taken in and trained by the Grand Elder himself. So Mirko held that particular attack in high regard even though he had thousands of other moves much better than it in his arsenal.

Phantom Strike is something that only a select few can be able to do, and ever since I created this skill, you will be only the second person that can perform it. (The 3rd couldn't due to being much older and following a different path of cultivation)
In a way, Phantom Strike isn't a difficult cultivation skill, but can only be used in a way very specific to us that makes it almost impossible to copy.
Phantom Strike requires the user to not only be a Weapon Cultivator but also to have a considerable amount and balance of Shadow and Darkness Qi.
