I woke up with a start, as if I had had a bad dream.
As I suspected, my mask was next to me. So I quickly grabbed it.
"I have a few more seconds before I fall back asleep, let's find some info on this pyramid."
When I turned on my computer, the date displayed was September 23, 2020.
"What only 1 day has passed?!"
Unfortunately I wasn't going to get very far, the internet servers were down.
"That doesn't surprise me, there are no people left on Earth..."
I was going to be able to do a little experiment though...
CHAPTER 62
"Let's see how much time passes between reality and imagination... I arrived here on September 29, 2020 at approximately 11:47 a.m."
I could have been looking for Nolan Cowleen, but he's in the US in reality while I'm in Japan right now.
"Well..."
I took off my mask and fell back into a deep sleep.
When I woke up in the dream world, I looked at the time.
"12h ! I was in reality for less than 5 minutes yet it was over 20min here."
I then looked to see if my stuff was next to me, when I remembered I was naked.
"Whew, that worked!"
I was able to put my clothes back on and leave to find Toshiko and Naoki.
"After this, it's going to be the last leg. Let's get this fourth payday over with."
It was then that I began to smell something burning...
"It looks like someone has built a fire in here."
I let the smell guide me and I could affirm my suspicions.
"Campers..."
There were a total of three. Two boys and a girl.
"Who's there?"
Did he hear me?
"Did you see someone Mirage?"
"My skill announces a presence."
Does he have a skill that can do that?
In this case, I can't hide. They are in superiority, but they don't look that strong.
"What a funny skill you have."
I tell them as I come out of hiding.
"Who are you?"
"I understand your name is Mirage? Nice to meet you, my name is Yume!"
He stared at me and then...
"Yume... You're Japanese right?"
"Yes."
"How come you are in America?"
"I needed help from a certain person..."
"Aiden, Harmony, did you find anything?"
"No, nothing unusual."
These people seem strange...
"How did you manage to get here?"
The man who called himself Aiden answered me at once.
"We made it by sticking together."
I made a face so as to let him know that I did not believe in what he was saying.
"A prophetess came to see you, that's it..."
It was then that Mirage spoke up again.
"We don't need a prophetess..."
"What?"
"Because we already have one."
