It was about to start. The fourth paycheck was coming and it wasn't going to be easy.

We were tense when we arrived at the site.
"I don't know much about this forest, but it seems to me that it is the largest in the United States"

- Goal: Get out of the forest as quickly as possible
- 1st arrival: Reward

Everyone was euphoric because of two things.
The first was that you could die in the forest. That was a pressure point.
And the second was that there was only a reward for the first one to arrive. So it was a race against time.
"Did you hear that? Only one reward for the first one! I'm leaving ahead of the losers!"
The event had barely begun when everyone ran to the first stage. There was jostling from everywhere some were even being stepped on.
I signaled to Toshiko and Naoki not to go forward.
"Did you hear Yume? This is a race, we have to get ahead as soon as possible.
"I agree with Naoki" replied Toshiko.
I didn't answer. In any case, they would soon understand.
As a crowd ran across a bridge a hatch opened.
"What's that? Hahahahaha!"
The bridge had just collapsed and all the people on it were going to fall into the void.
"That's why you shouldn't rush!" I said
The few people who managed to stop before the bridge collapsed were still in shock. So were Naoki and Toshiko.
"Wake up! We will go around the obstacle."
We then went around the bridge.
"Yume, did you know about this? Why didn't you say so from the beginning?"
I could have said it from the beginning indeed, but a mysterious person already did it long before me. So I didn't want her to notice me.
"I didn't say it right away because a certain person intrigued me"
