Yeah! Here's the new chapter!

"But well, as I was saying, my ability goes far beyond simply speaking Parseltongue, it actually gives me the ability to understand and speak magical languages," I began to say, seeing that Harry was completely focused on my words.
"But it's not like I can already speak every magical language that exists in the world without a little effort."
"Actually, for me to be able to speak a magical language I need to have a basic understanding of it, and in this case that was how I learned Parseltongue" I explained.
"So that's how you did it..." Harry muttered with a hand on his chin.
"Yes," I nodded, "But there is also another easier and faster way for me to learn a magical language, and that is to hear that language at least once, and then I will immediately understand it and know how to speak it."
And hearing this the green-eyed boy looked at me in wonder, "Man... Your abillity is incredible" he said.
"I know," I smiled slightly, "However, my ability isn't perfect… It has a problem, probably the only one, and it's because of that problem that I need your help."
"Problem?" Harry asked curiously, "What problem?"
"Well, I can speak and understand when someone speaks in magical languages, and it's pretty much instantaneous, but I can't read or write in them… At least not without a lot of study and research," I replied.
"Hmm, and because all these books and diaries are in Parseltongue you can't read them," Harry guessed, understanding my problem.
"Yes, and because Parseltongue is a very ancient and powerful magical language I don't have the necessary materials to study it, which made it impossible for me to learn to read this language."
"But I wasn't discouraged by that because I had an assumption that since it was a real Parselmouth who wrote these books and diaries, then only another real Parselmouth would be able to read them, and in the end that assumption proved correct thanks to you," I said, looking at my Gryffindor friend with a small smile.
"So you weren't sure I could read these books and diaries either?" Harry asked me.
"No, I wasn't sure."
"Hmm, I see," Harry nodded, "So now that we both know I can read them you must want me to translate them for you, right?"
"Well, that was my request from the beginning, so yes," I replied, getting another nod from the black-haired boy.
Harry then began to look around at the floating books and diaries, counting in his mind how many of them there were.
"Err, I think it'll take me a while to read and translate them all," he said with a slight grimace.
"Oh, you don't have to translate all of them," I said, making him look at me, "Like I said before, I just didn't learn to read Parseltongue because I didn't have the necessary materials to study that language, but if you translate at least 2 books and make a simple guide to help me then I'll be able to study them and learn the rest on my own."
"Oh, I guess that works." Harry blinked, and I could feel the relief coming from him.
'Heh, and that's why he's not a Ravenclaw,' I thought amused.
And without knowing my thoughts, Harry looked back at the books and diaries around us, and this time he seemed to be looking at them more closely.
"Hmm, now the question is… Which books do I choose?" He asked aloud, placing a hand on his chin with a thoughtful look.
"Well, since I don't know what these books are about I won't be able to help you choose, but I suggest you avoid the ones with titles that are... a little dark and terrifying," I said, glancing at some books and diaries that I could tell were dark just by the magic they emitted.
"Good suggestion," Harry said with a grimace.
He then continued walking around my room looking at all the books and diaries carefully, analyzing them in detail as if this were the most important choice of his life.
And in the end after analyzing all the books and diaries he decided to choose the book with the dark green cover he had picked up at the beginning, and besides it he also picked up another book that had a dark red cover.
"I'll take these two," he said, turning and showing the books to me.
"Hmm... Okay" I nodded after looking at the two books with my Magic Vision, seeing that neither of them had any traces of dark magic in them.
'The book with the dark green cover has a slightly different magic, but it's not dark, and I've seen books with even stranger magic in the restricted section of the Hogwarts library' I thought with a shrug.
"Well, I don't know when I'll finish reading these books, but don't worry Ethan, I promise I'll try to finish this task as soon as possible," Harry said, taking me out of my thoughts.
"You don't need to rush or stress about this," I said with a nonchalant wave of my hand, "I know my request will take some time to complete, and besides, I've had these books and diaries for almost 2 years, waiting a little longer to be able to read them won't be a big sacrifice."
"Oh, all right then," Harry said, "But I still want to finish reading these two books as soon as possible... I'm quite curious to know what another Parselmouth wrote in them."
'It's a little strange that I get excited about reading a book, but I'm sure if Hermione saw me now she'd be proud of me' he thought, pleased with himself.
"Hmm, I see," I said with a nod, pulling him out of his thoughts, "In that case, after you finish reading these books I can lend you some others to read," I offered.
"I'd like that, thank you," Harry said with a small smile.
"You're welcome," I said, smiling too.
I then looked at the clock on my wall and saw that it was already very late, and knowing that we had an early class tomorrow and that Harry needed to go back to his dormitory in Gryffindor Tower I decided it was time to end our conversation.
"Well, it's already pretty late, so I think we better end our conversation here, especially since you need to get back to your Common Room," I said.
"I agree," Harry nodded, looking at the clock as well, "And I'm sure Ron and Hermione must be worried about me, since I should have returned from our meeting with Bagman by now" he grimaced, already imagining the barrage of questions his overprotective friends would throw at him when he got back to the Gryffindor Common Room.
"Man, thank goodness I'm not you," I huffed, receiving a frown from Harry.
But ignoring his gaze I began to put all the books and diaries back into my suitcase, and after putting everything away I closed the suitcase and shrank it, before attaching it again to the chain around my neck.
After that Harry and I then left my room and went down to the common room, and arriving there we both started heading towards the entrance.
And as soon as we stopped in front of the Common Room entrance I turned to Harry.
"So Harry, do you want me to accompany you to Gryffindor Tower? The castle corridors are very dark and scary at night," I offered, looking at him with a playful smile.
"Thanks for the offer, but I'm not afraid of the dark and I can handle myself," Harry said dryly.
"Of course, no one doubts that, Oh great Boy-Who-Lived," I said as I bowed slightly.
And seeing this Harry's left eye twitched, "Ugh, I hate that title" he said with a frown.
"I know that," I smiled even wider, which only made the Gryffindor boy angrier.
But shaking his head he decided to ignore me, and approaching the entrance to the Common Room he opened it, seeing a dimly lit corridor appear in front of him.
And after opening the entrance Harry turned to me, "Well, see you tomorrow in Transfiguration class Ethan" he said, saying goodbye to me.
"See you tomorrow," I nodded at him.
After that, the boy with glasses turned around again, preparing to return to his house tower.
But before he could take a step out of the Ravenclaw common room he heard an annoying, mocking laugh from a Poltergeist very familiar to the castle's residents.
And Harry realized that this laughter was coming from somewhere on this floor, close to where we were, and it made him freeze momentarily.
"Harry?" I looked at him confused.
And my voice snapped him out of his paralyzed state, and he then began to turn towards me slowly.
"Err... Actually Ethan, I accept your offer to accompany me to Gryffindor tower," Harry said, looking at me with a slightly tense and worried look.
And hearing this I looked at him with a raised eyebrow, "Are you serious? I thought you said you weren't afraid of the dark."
"First of all, I'm Harry, Sirius is the bearded guy who lives in Grimmauld Place," Harry said, making me purse my lips at the damn pun, "And secondly, I'm not afraid of the dark, but I also don't want to have to deal with Peeves and his 'pranks', and you're the only person besides the Headmaster and the Bloody Baron that that damn annoying Poltergeist is afraid of" he explained.
And hearing this I reflected for a moment, before shrugging my shoulders, "Okay... Fair enough," I said, preparing to leave the common room as well.
And upon seeing this, Harry sighed in relief, before starting to follow me.
'Hmph, the house of courage my ass' I rolled my eyes.
End.
