Yeah! Here's the new chapter!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

As soon as Harry and I left the Chamber of Champions we saw that the Great Hall was empty, with all the students having already returned to the common rooms of their houses.

We then left the Great Hall and started to go through the corridors and up the stairs, heading towards the towers where the Gryffindor and Ravenclaw common rooms were located.

We were in a peaceful silence, but I could sense that Harry had something to ask me by the sideways glances he was giving me.

"Harry, you know that questions are asked using the mouth and not the eyes, right?" I said, looking at him beside me.

"Oh" Harry looked down slightly embarrassed, before coughing and looking at me, "I was curious to know why you entered the tournament" he said.

"Well, actually I entered the tournament not for the fame or the money, but to challenge myself" I said, and Harry nodded.

'I was already expecting that. Ethan already has a lot of money and he doesn't care if he has fame or not, and besides, everyone knows he's a bit crazy and loves to get into dangerous situations' Harry thought.

'Hmm, why do I feel like he's thinking something rude about me?' I asked myself looking at his thoughtful face.

But shaking my head I put it aside, going back to talking.

"But you know, there's another reason why I wanted to become a champion" I said, and Harry looked at me curiously.

"And what is the reason?"

"Freedom" I replied.

"Huh? What do you mean?" he asked with a confused face.

"What I meant was that I wanted to be free to make my own choices, without having to worry about other adults trying to control me," I explained, but that only seemed to confuse Harry even more.

"But what does this have to do with the tournament?" he asked.

"Well, now that I have become a champion in the Triwizard Tournament, which is an official tournament organized by our ministry and recognized by the International Confederation of Wizards, I ended up being emancipated." I replied.

"Oh yes," Harry nodded, until he understood what I said, "Wait, what?"

"You didn't hear wrong. From today I am emancipated and am considered an adult in the eyes of magic and the ministry" I smiled, pleased that now I could use magic freely at home, not that I didn't already do that.

"But how?" Harry asked.

"Simple. One of the rules of the tournament is that only adults should participate in it, but we are minors and were chosen as champions, right?" I asked and Harry nodded.

"Well, that is the point. The Goblet of Fire which is a magical item chose us, and a representative from the ministry as well as the Headmaster accepted our participation in the tournament, and because of that they basically stated that they see us as adults" I continued to explain, "And since being chosen as champion in the tournament involves a magical contract, law, ministry, and magic must now consider us emancipated."

"But isn't this just an assumption?" he asked me.

"Not really, that's the law, and not even the ministry can change that since it also involves magic" I said, smiling mischievously.

"And what does that mean for you?" Harry asked, "I mean, now that you're an adult in the wizarding world, what's changed for you?"

"Well, now I don't have to worry about the ministry or the school trying to control me or decide things for me in the wizarding world, I can also use magic outside of Hogwarts, and I also have all the other rights that an adult can have. " I answered.

I then put my arm on Harry's shoulder.

"And that doesn't just apply to me" I said, smiling at him in a way that made him alert, "I don't know if you've forgotten, but you're also a champion."

"Yes, but what does that have— Oh!" Harry said, realization hitting him.

"Yes my friend, now you are legally an adult" I said, satisfied with his look.

"Holy shit" he muttered.

He then winked and turned to me, "That's amazing!" he said, "Now I can use magic outside of school!"

"Yes" I said, 'Not that you couldn't before, as Sirius' house is protected and still a lord's house.'

We then continued our walk to our common rooms, with Harry obviously still dazed, thinking about the fact that he was now an adult in the wizarding world, and meanwhile I looked ahead, reflecting on my future plans now that I had entered the tournament.

And as I reflected I could feel Harry's mood worsen again, and I looked over at him only to find him staring at the floor with a frown.

"Why the sullen face?" I asked.

"I was just thinking about the tournament" he replied.

"Well, what then?" I gestured for him to continue.

"It's just that I remembered that it's very dangerous, and that many people have died in it, and that's probably why someone put my name in the cup," he said.

"Yes, I can understand why that would make you look like that," I commented, "But you know, you don't have to worry too much about it. The tournament will be difficult, and may even be dangerous, but remember that you are a strong and courageous wizard."

"I don't think it's going to help me survive the tasks," he said dryly.

"Well, then it's good that I'm here." I said smiling, pointing at myself with my thumb, "I'll help you complete all three tasks, and I'll make sure you complete them spectacularly."

"Really?" he looked at me hopefully.

"Uhm" I agreed.

"Thank you" he said, smiling slightly, a little more relieved.

"No need to thank me" I said, giving him a slight push.

And in our conversation we reached a point in the corridor where we should separate.

"Well, I hope you enjoy the party in the Gryffindor common room," I said, waving at him.

"I tell you the same... And try not to set your common room on fire with those fireworks" he joked, and I laughed lightly.

And with that, each of us went our separate ways, towards the common room of our respective houses.

-Gryffindor Common Room-

As soon as Harry passed through the entrance to the Gryffindor common room he saw that almost all the students from his house were waiting for him.

And as soon as they saw Harry enter, everyone started applauding and celebrating, going up to him while trying to congratulate him and ask him several questions.

And Harry, who was in the middle of everyone, didn't know what to do, but he was so tired that he simply accepted the congratulations before saying that he was sleepy and would go to his room to sleep.

"Wait Harry, could you at least tell us how you and Night managed to get your names on the cup?" Dean asked, and Harry frowned.

"I didn't put my name on the cup" he said, but his housemates just looked at him as if they didn't believe his words.

Seeing this Harry was irritated, but he knew there was no point in trying to explain himself if no one believed him.

He then sighed, before looking at Dean again, "And I also don't know how Ethan got his name in the cup, I didn't ask him that."

"Uhum," Dean muttered, looking suspiciously at Harry.

And tired of that look, Harry shook his head before passing everyone to go to the dormitory.

And seeing Harry go up the stairs and feeling that he was stressed about something Hermione looked at Ron, who was looking at Harry's back with a frown.

"Come on, I think something happened" she said, getting up and following Harry.

And Ron, who heard her also stood up, feeling some mixed feelings of envy and sadness, but still worried about his friend.

Ignoring the two worried friends who were following their black-haired friend, everyone in the common room began to talk about tonight's events and about the four champions.

"Hey, isn't Night your friend?" one of the sixth year boys asked the twins, who looked at him with a raised eyebrow.

"Yes, why?" Fred asked.

"Well, if he's your friend, then why didn't he tell you how to cross the age line?" this same boy questioned.

"Oh, actually he came to talk to us this morning and told us that he put his name on the cup, and that he knew of a way to bypass the age line" George said with his hand on his chin.

"Really?" Alicia asked, blinking in surprise.

"Yes, but we refused his help" Fred replied with a shrug, and this earned him surprised and confused looks from his fellow lions.

"Why?!" Lee, one of the twins' closest friends, asked somewhat shocked.

"Well, we wanted to try to bypass the age line by our own means and with our own efforts" George replied, surprising everyone.

"Yes, and besides, we knew as soon as Ethan said that he put his name in the Goblet of Fire that we would have no chance of being chosen as champions" Fred said.

"And that's also why we bet on Ethan as the champion of our school" George said smiling, shaking a small bag that was next to him, full of galleons that they won from the bet they created.

"And that was the easiest money I've ever made in my life" Fred commented, with a smile almost as big as his brother's.

And those who lost money in the bet looked at them through gritted teeth as they saw their joy.

''''Damned twins''''

End.
