Yeah! Here's the new chapter!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I was having my breakfast when one of the sixth year prefects passed by handing out our schedules, and looking at my schedule I saw that my first class of the day would be Transfiguration.
Nodding to this I looked over to the staff table, seeing that Professor McGonagall had risen and was walking out of the Great Hall.
'Hmm, it's been a while since I've talked to her' I thought, realizing that I was very busy with my plans and studies last year, and that because of that I couldn't spend as much time with her as before.
And realizing this I grabbed some toast with peach jam and got up, putting the parchment with my schedules in my bag and quickly following Professor McGonagall.
As I exited the Great Hall it didn't take long for me to catch up with her, with me noticing that she was heading towards the Transfiguration classroom, presumably to prepare the room for our class.
"Hello my dear teacher!" I greeted her with a cheerful smile as I reached her side, looking down at my favorite feline teacher.
"Hello Ethan" she replied with a small smile, "Shouldn't you be having your breakfast?"
"I've had enough already, and besides, I wanted to take the time before classes started to spend time with my favorite teacher," I replied, and I could see her stop in her tracks for a second, blinking in surprise.
"Favorite teacher?" she asked, walking again.
"Yes, you are the teacher I like the most and you are the one I respect the most" I replied, totally serious.
"I think Professor Flitwick would be jealous if he heard that," she said, but she couldn't hide the smile on her face or her emotions of happiness.
"Well, maybe" I shrugged, "I still like him and I think he's an amazing teacher, but you were the one who showed me the magical world, and the one who put up with my praks and jokes that I know can be irritating, and also listened and answered my endless questions about transfiguration"
We continued walking, with Professor McGonagall digesting my words. Seeing her thoughtful look I continued to speak.
"Actually I could even consider you a member of my family considering how well you've adjusted to us" I joked.
"And to tell you the truth, you act serious and rigid sometimes, but I know very well how you have a soft heart and take care of us... Almost like a grandmother" I finished, with the two of us arriving in front of Transfiguration classroom.
"I... I didn't know you thought so highly of me..." Professor McGonagall said, looking straight ahead awkwardly as she walked into the classroom, with me following her.
"Well, what can I say, it seems my serious Transfiguration teacher has a way of reaching the hearts of even the most troubled students," I said with a slight amused smile.
"I think so," she said, also smiling as she looked at me, "And for what it's worth, I consider you my family too, even if you're a messy, flirtatious, always getting into confusing situations and into trouble, some even deadly
"Wow" I said, looking at her in surprise, "You have described all of my best qualities"
"Oh, sure" Professor McGonagall snorted in amusement.
I then placed my bag on top of one of the tables, watching as Professor McGonagall cast a spell on the blackboard behind her desk, wiping it clean.
And as she continued to tidy up the classroom I noticed a dark blue mug with some red accents on top of her desk, and I remembered that this was the mug I had given her last Christmas.
"So I think you liked my present" I said, picking up the mug and turning it over, seeing the words 'To the greatest and most amazing teacher ever, Minnie. From your best and most beautiful student' written on it.
"I don't know what you're talking about," she said, taking the mug from my hands and gently placing it on her desk.
"Uhum, whatever you say… Minnie" I joked, earning a stern look from her.
But I just continued to smile, as her feelings couldn't be hidden from me.
"Hmm, the other students won't be here for a while" I changed the subject, looking at a lion shaped clock...or was it a cat, on the wall.
"Yes" Professor McGonagall said, sitting down in her chair.
We were then silent for a few seconds, with her looking at some parchments that were on top of her desk, probably being our curriculum for this year, and with me arranging my materials.
After arranging my materials on my table I got bored, so I turned to Professor McGonagall.
"What?" she asked noticing my gaze.
"Nothing, I'm just bored" I replied.
"Has anyone ever told you that this could be a sign of hyperactivity?"
"No," I replied cheerfully, and she rolled her eyes.
"Well, why don't you review the lessons I gave you last year?" she asked me, still not taking her eyes off the parchments in front of her
"I made it yesterday" I waved my hand dismissively.
I then rested my elbows on the table as I brought my hands together, placing my chin on top of them.
"Since it's going to take a few minutes for the others to arrive, why don't we have a little chat? I have several questions for you," I said.
"You always have questions," Professor McGonagall said, but she put the parchments down anyway, looking at me as she waited for me to continue.
"Of course, I always enjoy learning," I said, pulling a parchment out of my bag.
I then unrolled the parchment which turned out to be larger than expected, with its size being almost 1 meter.
And seeing this long parchment, Professor McGonagall looked at me with her mouth open, blinking in surprise.
...
...
...
'I think he's been spending too much time with Ms. granger' she thought.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Today was quite an interesting day.
I spent some time chatting with Professor McGonagall, then off to my Ancient Runes class, where I surprised Professor Babbling with my essay on Egyptian runes.
In fact, she was so pleasantly surprised that she even offered to teach me some more advanced lessons, as she realized that my understanding of runes far surpassed that of my classmates.
And I, who obviously wasn't going to miss a chance to learn more so easily, accepted it, even though I knew that she wasn't as knowledgeable as Penny, who was my true teacher of runes.
But that aside and back to my first day of school, after lunch I also helped Hagrid with his Care of Magical Creatures class, where I happily stopped him from showing us his Blast-Ended Skrewt.
I really like magical creatures, but these freaks that Hagrid created went against every law of nature known to me, and so I swore to myself that I would find a way to exterminate them all.
I also read the Daily Prophet that was delivered this morning and saw the news that Skeeter wrote about Mr. Weasley, mocking and vilifying him, which made me hasten my plans to report her to Amelia.
And with all these happenings the day was finally coming to an end.
I was currently heading towards the Great Hall for dinner when a group of students walked past me chatting and whispering excitedly.
And out of all their fast talking the only thing I could make out was Malfoy, Moody and Ferret.
'Wait...' I stopped, a click sounding in my head as information came to my mind, 'Today was the day that Alastor Barty was going to turn Malfoy into a ferret...'
'Actually, that must have just happened... And I missed that scene!!' I wailed, feeling the mischievous, sadistic part of me ache for missing out on a scene of public humiliation.
And those who passed by to go to the Great Hall looked strangely at a Ravenclaw boy who was standing in the middle of the corridor with a regretful expression on his face as he stared into the air.
However, people's strange looks diminished once they realized the boy was me, accepting it as another of my oddities.
'Can I convince Barty Junior to transfigure Malfoy again?' I wondered, and a part of me told me there was a chance he would agree to do this just to ease his sadistic and cruel thoughts.
End.
