Yeah! Here's the new chapter!

-Hogwarts grounds-

After lunch, my friends and I and a few other students from our year started walking towards Hagrid's hut, which was near the edge of the Forbidden Forest.

With me were almost all my friends and colleagues from Ravenclaw, just missing Mandy and Padma, who weren't very fond of magical creatures, or any other creature that wasn't cute and small.

After walking a bit on the muddy ground from yesterday's rain, we finally arrived in front of Hagrid's hut, finding him waiting for us outside his hut.

"Everybody is here?" he asked, with a smile on his face at us. He then seemed to remember something and quickly took something out of his pocket, which turned out to be parchment.

He then started muttering as he looked at us, and from what I heard I could tell that what was in his hands was a list of the students who would be attending his class.

"Where's Mr. Malfoy?" Hagrid asked, looking at the list of students in his hand and the students around him, looking for a platinum-haired brat.

"Err..." Pansy Parkinson started to say, with many eyes falling on her, "Draco had a little accident at lunch, and Madam Pomfrey said he would need to stay in bed for the rest of the afternoon," she said, with a worried look on her face.

When Parkinson said this, a smile appeared on the faces of most of the students, especially on the faces of a certain golden trio.

Hearing Parkinson's, a smile threatened to cross my face, and I was instantly reminded of the little 'accident' that had happened this afternoon that had landed Malfoy in the hospital wing.

-Lunch Time – North Corridor-

[POV - Third Person]

Malfoy was walking towards the Great Hall thinking about what new method he was going to use to annoy Potter and his idiot friends, but then he saw something gleaming on the floor in front of him, and curiously he approached.

Arriving in front of the item he bent down and picked it up.

"What is this?" Malfoy wondered, looking at the shiny beetle-sized pebble in his hand curiously.

But he didn't have time to think of an answer as the stone began to glow brighter, and then suddenly it exploded.

"What happened?!" Professor Burbage, who teaches Muggle Studies, said, coming into the corridor as soon as she heard the explosion.

She then saw that in front of her, standing in the middle of the hallway, covered with some kind of moss, was a student.

"Oh my!" she exclaimed, approaching the student and seeing that he was paralyzed like a statue, but her eyes kept moving.

"He...l...p" Malfoy managed to say through his paralyzed lips, feeling a strange tingle on his skin.

---------------------

'Sigh... A simple but perfect plan' I thought with a smile on my face, not noticing that Seamus Finnigan was turning away from me with a wary look.

"Well that's sad for him, he's going to miss this lesson and I'm going to show you something really amazing and interesting" Hagrid said, and this caught the students' attention, "But let's go then! We can't waste time!"

Saying that, Hagrid began to lead us through the Hogwarts grounds, until we reached a fence in a paddock, and our half-giant professor turned to us.

"All of you rally around this fence!" he said to us. He then pulled another parchment out of his pocket and began to read it.

'Wait... Are these notes?' I sweated, listening to Hagrid's murmurs.

After reading the contents of the scroll Hagrid looked at all of us, "Now, I want you all to take your books and open them to page 46 and..."

"How?" Terry asked, interrupting him.

"How what?" Hagrid asked back, looking confused at Terry.

"How do we open this book?" Terry asked, showing Hagrid his chained book.

"Stroke its spine," I said, and Terry looked at me with a raised eyebrow, until he saw my docile Monster Book of Monsters snuggled into my arms.

He then shrugged and stroked the spine of his book, and watched as it shivered at his touch before calming down with a satisfied purr.

"I'm not even going to ask how you found this out," Terry said to me, opening his book

When the other students listened to me and saw Terry taming his book, they followed suit and did the same, and Hagrid watched it all with pride.

'Maybe next time I'll leave a note on the materials list telling them how to open the book' he thought.

And in several places in the castle some students felt like crying and hitting a certain bearded professor who was not the Headmaster while looking at their hands with bite marks.

"Well, as you all managed to open your books, I want you to go to page 46 and read about the creature mentioned on it, and in the meantime I'll go get the magical creatures. Wait here" Hagrid said, leaving us to read the book as he turned and left, heading to the back of the paddock that was inside the forbidden forest.

'I think Hagrid really took our conversation seriously. Well, either that or maybe Malfoy's absence created a butterfly effect that left the class better than it should have been' I thought, shrugging my shoulders.

"Hippogriffs?" Anthony asked, looking at the image and description of the creature that was in the book, "Are they what we are going to learn about today? Cool," he said.

"Did you happen to predict this in your teacup, Anthony?" Terry asked mockingly, and Anthony's eye twitched.

"I'll refrain from arguing with you, I know this is just jealousy," Anthony said, looking smugly at Terry and me.

'What did I do?' I wondered.

"Yes, yes. Anything that lets you sleep at night" Terry said, going back to reading his book.

"Hmph" Anthony bufou.

"Aaaahhhh" squeaked Lavender from the back of the group, pointing forward, catching the attention of those still reading their books and causing them to look where she pointed.

"Wow!"

"Hipogrifos!"

"They are amazing"

"Look Michael, your father"

"Fuck you"

Just as expected, Hagrid arrived with several Hippogriffs on chains he held, all trotting proudly behind the half-giant.

Looking at the Hippogriffs my eyes sparkled excitedly, seeing that they each had different appearances, the only thing that didn't change was the appearance of eagle mixed with horse, obviously.

"Here are the Hippogriffs!" Hagrid exclaimed excitedly after tying the chain that held the creatures to the fence, with all the students but me backing away in alarm, "They're beautiful, aren't they?"

Hagrid then turned to look at us expectantly.

"So... Will anyone want to touch them?" he asked, and I immediately raised my hand, already approaching the creatures.

Hagrid didn't stop me as he already knew I knew the basic rules on how to approach a Hippogriff, but that didn't stop him from turning to the rest of the class to explain.

"I know some of you have read the description of Hippogriffs in the book, but there are still a few rules you should follow if you want to approach them," Hagrid said, looking seriously at everyone.

While Hagrid was teaching the other students, I was already jumping over the fence, landing at least 5 meters away from the nearest hippogriff.

I then looked into the eyes of a Hippogriff that had brown fur and white feathers, and I began to approach him slowly, without blinking or looking away.

When I was within 3 meters of him I started to bow, but what happened next surprised not only me but also all the students who were looking at the scene.

Before I could even fully bow the Hippogriff in front of me bowed deeply, lowering his head in a respectful manner.

But the most surprising thing of all is that it wasn't just the Hippogriff I was facing that bowed, but all the hippogriffs that Hagrid had brought.

Looking around at all the Hippogriffs bowing to me, I was momentarily confused, until I remembered my Beast Power.

'Looks like it's getting stronger' I thought, frowning. I then looked around again, noticing that the Hippogriffs were still bowing to me, 'Okay, this is really weird'

"Err... Professor Hagrid?" Justin called, and Hagrid turned to him with a smile and moist eyes, as this was the first time he'd been called a professor.

"Yea?" he asked happily.

"Was that supposed to happen?" Justin pointed behind him, and Hagrid turned around in confusion.

"What- !!" as soon as Hagrid saw the scene of a boy surrounded by hippogriffs bowing to him, his eyes almost widened and his mouth opened in shock.

And meanwhile I looked around awkwardly.

'Should I bow to them all?' I asked myself, standing awkwardly in the middle of the paddock.

"I... This... This is amazing!" Hagrid almost shouted in wonder, "Look everyone! This is an unprecedented event! There has never been a case where multiple Hippogriffs bowed to the same person!"

Saying that, Hagrid turned to me again.

"Which Hippogriff did you bow to first?" he asked, almost jumping to his feet excitedly, and I looked at him awkwardly.

"Err... Professor Hagrid, actually the first to bow was the Hippogriff" Anthony said with his hand raised, and Hagrid's head snapped in his direction.

"What?!" he exclaimed, and turning his gaze to me I almost took a step back.

"Hagrid, please stop looking at me like that," I said, but it seemed to fall on Hagrid's deaf ears.

With Hagrid ignoring me, he turned to the class and started talking about how no Hippogriff has ever bowed to someone first before, and then he started pointing at me as he talked about... Me?

'Wait, shouldn't this lesson be about Hippogriffs? Since when did I become the focus of this class?' I wondered with a strange look on my face.

I then saw some students take some parchments and quills out of their bags and start jotting something down while looking at me.

"Why do I now feel like the magical creature being studied in this class is me?" I muttered.

'And can you guys stop pointing at me like I'm some kind of strange creature?!' I thought, sweating as I felt several analytic eyes on me.

As I thought about whether it would be wrong to hit a teacher and drown some students in the lake, I felt something nudge my right arm, and looking to the side I saw a gray Hippogriff looking at me expectantly as it lowered its head.

"Sigh... At least you guys are acting normal" I said, stroking the Hippogriff who closed his eyes in satisfaction. I then felt something poking my back and my left arm.

Turning around I saw that the other Hippogriffs had approached me, and just like the Hippogriff I was petting - who I realized was Buckbeak -, they also wanted my attention.

"Well... Maybe not so normally"

End.
