-Saturday-

Today is the long awaited day. Today is the day I will play my first Quidditch match.

Ravenclaw versus Hufflepuff.

This is going to be the second game this season, and I couldn't be more excited. I knew that, like Potter, I would be underestimated for being too young, probably more so, as I'm not a 'legend' who defeated a dark lord.

But I felt confident that I would do well.... Well, maybe even better, if Hillton's praise is any sign.

"So, Ethan. How are you feeling? Excited? Scared? Nervous? In the mood to hide in the bathroom and not go out anymore?" Anthony asked me, pulling me out of my thoughts.

"Do you really think Ethan the Troll Slayer is going to feel nervous about a little Quidditch game?" Terry scoffed, using my hated nickname.

"Haha" I chuckled humorlessly, "For your information, know I'm not nervous at all" I said relaxed.

"Yeah…" Terry said, looking like he didn't believe me, "I'm glad you feel that way, unlike some people…" he continued, looking slightly at Collins, who was like me too. A new member of the team.

Collins was surrounded by her friends, in a show of support, trying to quell her nervousness.

'Who would have thought that the same aggressive girl who tried to knock me down with a bludger in practice could be so nervous'

While I was lost in my thoughts, I heard someone calling me. And looking to the side, I saw that the one who called me was my captain.

"Come on, Night" Hillton said, which meant the team had to go get ready for the game.

I then got up from the table and started to leave. But just as I was reaching the doors of the Great Hall, Anthony yelled at me, making me stop in my tracks.

"Good luck, Ethan!" he screamed. And turning to him with a confident smile, I said.

"I'm not the one who will need luck!" and then I turned and walked out of the Great Hall.

The entire team met in the locker rooms, waiting for Lee's announcement so we could get into the pitch. And in the meantime, Hillton began to deliver a little speech, which for some reason seemed to have been rehearsed.

And while the speech took place, I held my broom while shivering, not from fear or nervousness but from excitement.

I wasn't even on pitch and could already imagine the wind blowing in my face and the thrill and adrenaline of the game.

"That's all," Hillton said, finishing his speech I didn't even pay attention to, and looking around I realized I wasn't the only one, "Now let's get into that pitch and show everyone how the Ravenclaw Quidditch team is the best! "

"Yeah!"

"Let's roast these badgers on a skewer!"

"Let's show these Puffs who's boss!"

"Ravenclaw is the best!"

The team started to get excited as they cheered, and even I felt compelled to cheer with them.

Hillton then proceeded to lead us to where we would make our entrance, which was one of the southwest passages to the pitch. All the way to the passage I could hear Lee's voice, who was opening the match.

"Okay. Now mount your brooms. We're leaving," Hillton said, turning to us. And that's what we did.

"And now to represent the Ravenclaw team, we have this amazing team!" Lee started talking, "We have the Seeker and Captain, Clark Hillton! Followed by him are the two Beaters, Patrick James and Christi Collins, and the Keeper, Dylan Bailey! Next come the Chasers, Roger Davis, Isabella Summer, and by Last but not least, our latest Chaser... The smart, funny, and sexy first year... The Ravenclaw Silver Star... ETHAAAAAN NIGHT!!"

We heard Lee call, and immediately flew off with our broomsticks in formation, with me at the end.

Ravenclaw fans were cheering wildly, shooting blue sparks from their wands to show support for the home team.

Looking out of the corner of my eye, I could also see the twins brandishing a flag each with my name on it and underneath it written 'Silver Star', and with that I realized who had helped Lee with my intro.

"I'm going to have to thank the twins for convincing Lee to do this intro for me," I chuckled, waving lightly at my friends, who were cheering me on.

"Now, let's go to the Hufflepuff team, who are said to be one of the strongest... Obviously behind Gryffindor as it's impossible to be better and—"

"Jordan!"

"Sorry Professor" Lee said after Professor McGonagall scolded him, "But moving on... For the Hufflepuff team, we have Captain and Beater Anthony Rickett, followed by his bludger partner Maxine O'Flaherty! Behind them are the Chasers, Malcolm Preece, Heidi Macavoy and Tamsin Applebee! And making his debut we have the Keeper, Herbert Fleet! With the Seeker, Billy Crinstoot, coming in the rear!" and with that the yellow and black team came flying from their entrance, circling the pitch to cheer the Puffs crowd before stopping on their side of the pitch.

Madame Hooch, who was still referee, climbed halfway through the pitch on her broom, and that was the signal for the two captains to approach.

As soon as Madame Hooch said the same old lines and warned them about playing honestly, the two captains returned to their sides.

Hillton stopped a bit above us as he was the Seeker and needed a better view of the pitch. He nodded and waved his hand, which meant we should go for a faster and stronger attack.

He then looked directly at me and held up three fingers, and with that I knew I should focus on scoring and supporting him in his search for the snitch.

After the two teams were positioned, Madame Hooch put the whistle in her mouth and blew, thus causing the game to begin.

And I immediately fired my broom, with Davis and Summer close behind.

Thanks to my Nimbus 2000, I easily and quickly reached the quaffle, and wasted no time before advancing into the Hufflepuff pitch, dodging the two chasers, Preece and Macavoy.

As I flew, I heard the wind cut, and my senses warned me of an attack. Wasting no time, I turned my broom and stood upside down, and just as I did, a bludger passed right where I was.

Seeing that the danger had passed, I returned to my normal position, and using my small body and my fast broom, I fired.

I arrived in front of the Hufflepuff hoops, with only the keeper in front of me. I then threw the quaffle up, and just as it was falling, I hit it with the palm of my hand, mimicking a traditional Kung Fu move, and using some of my strength the quaffle shot like a bullet into the Hufflepuff hoop.

And Fleet, the rookie Hufflepuff keeper, had no chance against me, and lost the quaffle, which went through the hoop thus scoring my first point in a Quidditch match, and Ravenclaw's first point.

'This is a lot more fun than practice' I thought with a wild smile.

End.
