-Night's House-
-September 1st – 9 am-
"Have you got everything, Ethan?" asked my mother.
"Yes. I had everything ready yesterday" I replied as I shrunk my suitcase and put it in my pocket.
"Who would have thought, just two months ago we were having an ordinary life... And today we are taking our son to a wizarding school" sighed my father, "Well, what are we waiting for, let's go!" he continued as he opened the door for us to leave the house.
"Just a moment…" I said, and then I turned towards the stairs that lead to my room and yelled, "NYX! COME SOON, WE'RE ALREADY LEAVING!"
"Meow!" we hear meow from upstairs, and after a while we see Nyx come down the stairs and walk towards me.
"Come on girl, we have to be early so we can pick a compartment for us," I said as I bent down to pick Nyx up.
"Meow!" I could feel her joy at the connection, and I couldn't help but smile. After coming home with us, Nyx was still a little afraid of others, and would sometimes hide for a whole day, but nowadays she has started to get used to my family to the point where we see her playing with Cele in her room, sleeping on my mom's lap, or even sitting on my dad's shoulder reading the paper with him. And that's pretty surprising for a cat, so I've begun to suspect that she's, if not a complete Kneazle, then at least a partial.
"There, now I have everything," I told my parents after putting Nyx in a cat cage, much to her dissatisfaction.
"Then let's get in the car," my mom said as she led Cele to the car. And my father and I followed close behind.
Once in the car, my father turned it on and started driving towards the station.

-King's Cross Train Station-
After we arrived at the station, we made our way towards platforms 9 and 10, and then my parents started looking around.
"So... where is this entrance again?" asked my father.
"Platform 9 ¾ is on the wall between platform 9 and 10, and Professor McGonagall said you can only go through if you have wizards with you," I reminded him, as I placed my hand on the wall where I thought the entrance was, and I could see my hand go through it.
"You have to put your hand on me to get through," I told my parents, and after they put their hands on my shoulders, we walked to the wall and walked through it.
When we got to the other side, it was a totally different place. It had a big red train with the words Hogwarts Express written on its side, parked at the station.
We could see families saying goodbye to their children, grandchildren or nephews. Children and teenagers boarding the train with their luggage and animals. Friends meeting and groups getting together again.
"Wow...that's very...wow" my dad said impressed, "Even though I've seen a lot in Diagon Alley, it still amazes me"
"Magic really is amazing…" my mom said, nodding with my dad.
"I'm going to find a compartment to leave my stuff, and then I'll be back," I told my parents, and then I got on the train looking for an empty compartiment.
After finding a compartment at the beginning of the train, I took my trunk out of my pocket, increased the size of it, and then placed it in the trunk along with Nyx's cage. I then cast some spells in the compartment so no one could enter it, and after I finished, I went back to my family.
"So son, how do you feel? Enthusiastic? Nervous? Wanting to go home and not leave Mom's side?" asked my mother hopefully, looking at me with Machiavellian and powerful 'puppy eyes'. But I won't fall for it, no... I trained myself to take much worse, and I... I... Damn! These eyes are deadlier than a basilisk.
And just when I thought about giving up, a savior came in the form of my father.
"Okay dear, enough. We don't want to embarrass Ethan before he even enters school, and right on his first day," he said trying to calm down and stop my mom from trying to kidnap me... kidnap?... Yes, kidnap me so I don't go to Hogwarts and stay away from her.
"What do you mean embarrass him? Are you saying that now I can't even show my love for my son, is that it?" my mom questioned my dad with a look that promised pain if he answered the wrong way.
"Eh...that honey...what I meant was...was..." My father started to say nervously as he looked around, looking for a way to distract my mother.
Seeing my father in that situation, I decided to help him, "Look at the time, I better get on board soon, the train will leave!" I said looking at the station clock.
"Huh, already?" lamented my mother, "Sigh, well, that's it…my grown son is going his own way. *Sniff* Will he remember his mother?" she continued in mock pain, wiping her fake tears and laying her head on my father's chest.
"Do not worry, dear!" my dad said hugging my mom, "Ethan is now a free bird who will walk his own journey... But remember, I'm still here!" he added proudly, as if he had discovered the answer to all the world's problems.
My mom then stopped "crying", lifted her head from my dad's chest, and started staring at him with a look that said 'Really?'
"Err... What about Cele?" continued my father nervously, putting Cele in front of my mother's face.
"And me!" Cele said happily, throwing his arms in the air.
"Hmm...now it's a good deal" my mom nodded.
Meanwhile, I next rolled my eyes at my parents' antics.
"Yup! Back to the subject…" I called my parents' attention.
"Ah yes!" said my mother, and then she hugged me.
"Remember if. Always brush your teeth before bed, warm up warmly, don't stay up late, and I would talk about the pranks...but knowing you well, you'll still do a lot, so...give them hell" continued her hugging me tightly. Then she ended the hug and looked at me, "And I want you to send me a letter a day!"
"One letter a month," I said, trying to negotiate with her.
"One big letter a week and one small letter every three days, no more and no less"
"Alright, I accept!" I said smiling ironically, knowing she won this exchange... but it was to be expected... never try to make a deal with a lawyer...
"Very well" said my mother, and then she hugged me again and kissed me on the forehead, "I love you", and left for my father to say goodbye to me.
"Yeah big boy…" my dad said as he placed his hand on my head, "So that's it…my son, going to study magic. And to think that a few days ago we didn't even know about this world, sigh. Well…I can only wish you luck" and then he hugged me and whispered in my ear, "And if you cause any trouble…try not to get caught." He pulled away and winked.
"And you Cele, aren't you going to say goodbye to your brother?" I asked Celestia.
"Auwn, do you have to go?" Cele asked as I scooped her up in my arms.
"Yes Cele, I have to go. But I'm coming back for Christmas, and I'll bring you lots of presents!" I said hugging her, "I'll miss you, brother loves you"
After that I handed Cele to my dad and looked at my family, "I'm going to miss you. Take care, and even the Christmas holidays. Goodbye!" I said waving my hand to my parents and then I started boarding the Hogwarts Express.
End.

(End AN: I'm not very healthy, as I had a reaction when taking the COVID vaccine, but nothing that a few hours of sleep and a medicine didn't solve.
I would also like to remind you that I am trying to write more, even with the little time I have, to be able to give you 4 chapters a week, and maybe that number will increase. ;)
I would also like to ask you to support me in Patrë-on, which has up to 15 chapters ahead.
