Yeah! Here's the new chapter!
________________________________________________________________________________________
After receiving the map from the twins and playing a prank on Professor Snape, I broke away from them and ran excitedly to the Room of Requirement, where I planned to dissect and analyze the map.
Arriving in the seventh floor hallway, I started pacing back and forth wishing for a room where I could study and experiment, and on my third lap the Room of Requirement door appeared. And I wasted no time and immediately walked into the room.
The room had some wooden tables with chairs, and iron counters with jars and cauldrons on top. On the other side of the room was a display case with a few more vials, a few knives and needles, and a few books, probably about experimentation. At the other end of the room there were also some targets and some wooden boards with small cuts and holes, which together with the iron cage and the handcuffs on the wall gave the impression of being the place where the 'guinea pigs' were.
'Scary' I shivered, but decided to ignore that particular spot and I went towards one of the tables.
Sitting down at the table, I reached into my bag and pulled out the piece of parchment that was the map. I also took out some new sheets of parchment, my journal and a quill so I could jot down what I found. And along with that I also pulled out a book on wards and another one on security spells, which has some tracking and location spells in it.
"Well...let's get started" I said to myself, and immediately turned on my Magic Vision.
The map had many different types of magic remnants, with five of them being more pronounced than the others. Four of these remnants were unknown to me, but it was easy to find out who they were from, as these four were firmly embedded in the creation of the map.
The fifth and final remnant was easily recognizable to me as I practically see it every day. This fifth remnant is from a very special place. And this place is none other than our dear castle.
"I think this supports my theory that the map was made using the castle's wards" I commented, looking around the Room of Requirement and seeing the same magic in the air, with some other types of magic I didn't know about, but planned to analyze.
I then went back to looking at the map, and watching as the magic flowed through it, I started jotting down the information in my journal.
After finishing my notes on how the map worked closed, I put the tip of my wand on it and said the opening code. Always looking at him with my Magic Vision.
Once the map was opened, I started to analyze it as well, end to end, until I had written down everything I could find out about it.
On the map I could see where each person in the castle was. Like Hagrid, who was outside his cabin; Professor McGonagall who was in her office with the twins... who were probably caught messing around again, and were getting an earful; and Headmaster Dumbledore, who was in his office alone.
I looked some more through the map and found two interesting things... Which I didn't understand as the twins didn't notice. One of them is the name Peter Pettigrew, who was in the Gryffindor boys' dorms... And I really have to think about what I'm going to do with this traitorous rat...
And the other thing... or person, that caught my attention on the map, was the name of Professor Quirrell, who was in his office, something that could have seemed normal... But it wasn't that specifically that caught my attention , but the name that was superimposed with his...
Quirinus Quirrell...
...
...
...Tom Riddle
And for those who are unaware of that name... That person is none other than the most powerful Dark Lord that ever lived... Lord Voldemort.
... Although I still consider Grindelwald the most dangerous and powerful Dark Lord... And my opinion is correct and everyone else's is wrong, hmph...
'I can't get involved with Quirrelmort until he confronts Potter and finds out that he can't touch him, so he'll have the idea of using it in the graveyard ritual... And then it would be easier to be prepared for when him resurrect, as it's better than being in the dark about when and where he would resurrect' I thought, 'But for that also means I can't arrest or kill Pettigrew yet... But that doesn't mean I can't exonerate Sirius and shame Fudge'
I don't have anything against Fudge, but he's obviously a useless minister of magic, and I'd prefer to get him pulled out of the picture before he starts his show of ignorance and stupidity trying to pretend that a two kidnapped boys and a dead body isn't a good enough sign to, if at least don't believe the Dark Lord has risen, realize that something is wrong, and that this is a very bad thing.
But back to the map...
After I finished looking at the map, I took the two books from my side, and started reading them, looking specifically for tracking, locating, and mapping spells and wards.
At the end of my research and analysis, I came to the conclusion that the map was actually created using a combination of the {Homonculous Charm}, some advanced spells, and a little connection to the castle's monitoring wards.
And with that, I realized that it wouldn't be difficult to recreate the map or even improve it. I'll simply copy the already-marked parts of the castle onto another scroll or object, and after that I'll just need to scan the places the Marauders hadn't found. So to wrap it up, I'm going to put some spells and details there and here, connect to the wards, cast the {Homonculous Charm}, and Voilá... I'm going to have my own custom enhanced version of the map.
'I can probably finish creating my map before Christmas. So I just need to give Marauder's Map back to the twins, for them to give to Potter in Third Year, and show them my version... Better, I can create a map for each of them!' I reflected, punching the palm of my hand, 'But I also need to modify the Marauder's Map a bit first, as I don't want Potter and his gang spying on me or knowing where I am at every moment' I said, taking more note of this work in my mind.
I then returned my gaze to the map and a piece of parchment.
"Well...I guess it's time to explore the castle...again," I said, and I felt the room vibrate with amusement, making my eye twitch.
"Yes yes, laugh at me you annoying sentient castle... At some point I'll have my turn to laugh" I mumbled in annoyance, and I felt the room vibrate as if to say "Come on."
"Tch" I clicked my tongue.
I then started to pack my things back into my bag. And when I was ready, with me holding the map and parchment in hand, I prepared to leave the room.
"Well... so here we go again" I said. And then I walked out the door to the Room of Requirement.
End.

A short AN since they seem to annoy readers, and I feel weird if there isn't any AN in the story)
