Yeah! Here's the new chapter!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It had been a few days since the end of the second task, and now that I no longer had to worry about the challenge of the task I could once again focus on my training.

I knew that the third task was coming, and I also knew that the task itself wouldn't be a problem for me, since thanks to my senses I could easily find the way out of the maze.

And as for the challenges that would be within the maze, I had no worries about that, as they would just be magical creatures that I could easily defeat.

However, the real and main problem would be what would happen at the end of the task, which was the resurrection of the noseless Dark Lord.

And I knew that even weak Voldemort was someone I couldn't face yet, and that's why I was training harder than ever while creating countermeasures in case my plans failed.

But going back to my training, I still maintained my physical training routine, but what I was more focused on at this moment was improving my most useful and powerful abilities.

And those abilities were my Beast Power, Magic Vision, Mist Form and my wandless magic.

And besides training these abilities I was also studying a lot, and I decided to start my magical research to study the core of the Thestrals.

And that brings me to what I was doing right now.

I was currently in my room sitting on my bed, with several old books and diaries around me.

And these books and diaries are the ones I 'recovered' from the Chamber of Secrets, and I was studying them because I couldn't think of any other source of knowledge that had so much information about magic than Salazar Slytherin's personal diaries.

He may have been a cruel and petty bastard, but no one could deny that he was a genius when it came to magic, equaling even Rowena Ravenclaw, and in some cases even surpassing her.

But even though I had all his years of studies and research in my hands, there was a small problem.

And that problem was that all the books and diaries were written in Parseltongue, which made it impossible for me to read them.

I could speak parseltongue thanks to my Beast Talk that allows me to understand all magical languages, but in the case of parseltongue this only extended to speaking, not writing and reading.

And because of that now I had to use all my brain cells to try to figure out a way to translate what was written in these diaries and books, otherwise they would be nothing more than useless pieces of paper.

"Sigh, I could read what was written in these diaries if they were written in the language of some magical creature" I said in a tired voice that didn't hide how stressed I was.

The language of magical creatures was something that was deeply rooted in them and their magic, and therefore my Beast Talk had a greater connection with them, which allowed me to not only speak, but also read these languages.

However, unlike the languages of magical creatures, Parseltongue was not a language that emerged naturally.

In fact, parseltongue was a hereditary ability, and because it was a ability, my Beast Talk could not extract 100% of the capacity of that language.

And knowing this only made me even more frustrated.

But even though I was frustrated and angry I still didn't give up on my goal.

Then taking a deep breath a focused and determined look came over my face, and I picked up one of the diaries that I hadn't yet tried to read from the bed.

And opening the first page I saw several strange symbols and letters that made no sense to me.

These letters and symbols had curved and elongated shapes, and in some parts it even looked as if whoever wrote in this diary was just stroking the quill over the paper.

But knowing that it was not the moment to judge Salazar's handwriting or the strangeness of his writing in Parseltongue, I went back to trying to read what was written in this diary.

"Come on Ethan, you just need to stick with it" I said to myself in an attempt to cheer myself up.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

-Some minutes later-

"Uhum... Okay... Now I understand" I muttered softly, looking at the diary in my hands with complete concentration.

I then with a look of understanding nodded to myself, before closing the diary with a snap.

"Yeah, I can't read Parseltongue" I proclaimed.

And with a frustrated sigh I threw the diary back on the bed, before throwing myself back, laying down on the bed as I stared at the ceiling of my room which was decorated as if it were the night sky.

I had been trying to read what was written in the diary for at least 20 minutes, but I hadn't managed to get past even the first word that was written on the first page, just like with the other diaries and books.

"Why does the Parseltongue's written language have to be so complex and strange?" I grumbled out loud, before grimacing, "And actually, why did that damned old serpent have to write everything in that stupid language?"

I no longer had favorable feelings for the founder of Slytherin house, but after all this I felt that Salazar deserved to join Rowena on my list of stupid and arrogant founders who I would like to say a few rather unfriendly words to.

"Could it be that the only founder who has salvation is Helga?" I sighed, not wanting to even think about the founder of Gryffindor house.

"Sigh... I think maybe I'd better go back to regular books written in languages I can read" I said out loud.

And it really was a shame that I had to leave these books and diaries full of information aside, but there was no point in me continuing to rack my brains trying to understand what was written in them, since apparently they could only be read by someone who really had the ability to speak Parseltongue.

And in other words, a true Parselmouth.

...

....

...

...

...

"Wait a minute" I stood up with a start, feeling realization hit me, "These books and diaries can only be read by someone who is a parselmouth... And I happen to know someone who fits that criteria!"

And in my mind images began to appear of a certain boy with black hair and green eyes.

"Harry wasn't born a parselmouth, but in a way he inherited Voldemort's ability through magic and soul" I muttered reflectively, "In that case, then I think he has a high chance of being able to read these texts"

And my hopes of being able to know what was written in these books and diaries returned.

And now I just needed to think about what I would say to Harry to convince him to translate them for me, since I couldn't just go up to him and say, 'Hey Harry, I know you're a Parselmouth, so can you translate for me these super rare and old books and diaries that I found in Salazar Slytherin's Chamber of Secrets?'

"Yeah, that's definitely not going to work" I grimaced.

And there were so many problems with asking Harry to read and translate the texts, that I was almost tempted to ask Voldemort to translate them for me or at least teach me how to read in Parseltongue.

'Well, Riddle always wanted to be a teacher here at Hogwarts, so I would be helping him realize his dream since he would be teaching me in a way' I thought.

And if the Headmaster or Voldemort were listening to my thoughts they would probably consider me crazy and dangerous, obviously for different reasons.

But shaking my head I decided to put my weird thoughts aside, focusing back on the main problem.

"Well, I guess now it all comes down to how I'm going to bring up the subject of Harry being a Parselmouth in a conversation with him." I commented to myself, crossing my legs on the bed as I gained a thoughtful look.

"And I'm going to have to be very careful with that, since I still don't know whether or not Harry has discovered that his ability to talk to snakes is the Parselmouth" I reflected.

The chances of Harry not knowing that he has this rare ability were very high, as I had prevented the Chamber of Secrets incident from occurring, which consequently meant that Lockhart did not try to recreate the dueling club, as there was no longer any reason for it.

And since Lockhart didn't try to recreate the dueling club, Harry didn't have to face Malfoy, who would summon a snake that would force Harry to show off his ability in front of all the students.

And without all the commotion caused by the students after they saw Harry talking to a snake in its language, the black-haired boy would have no reason to be curious about his ability, so he would never discover what a parselmouth or parseltongue was.

But of course, that was just an assumption analyzing the facts I had at hand.

And there was still a slight chance that he had told Sirius or Ron and Hermione about the time he talked to a snake at the zoo, which in any case would have led him to discover the truth about his ability.

'Sigh... That's a lot of assumptions but no certainty' I thought, shaking my head.

"But well, I don't think it's worth thinking about these chances and assumptions right now... What I should do now is plan" I said, nodding to myself.

But then I yawned, feeling all the tiredness from my studying finally reaching me, feeling mentally exhausted.

"But of course, only after a good nap"

End.
