-Gryffindor Common Room – Afternoon-

[POV – Third Person]

Today was a Wednesday, and it was another normal day at Hogwarts, and in the common room of the noble lions two identical red-haired boys could be found leaning over a table with various items while talking quietly.

"The effects of the vomit candy are very strong" Fred said, with a yellow candy with green balls in his hands.

"Yes" George nodded, "We need to add a little more ant antennae and cactus leaves to the recipe to reduce their effects" and saying this the playful boy took a notebook that was next to him and started to write something down.

"Oh, and write down that we need to order another box of bat saliva and peppermint cream to make more laughing cookies" Fred said.

"Has the last batch we made already finished?" his brother asked.

"Yes. The Puffs bought them all in the last week."

"Oh…" George nodded, knowing that besides the Gryffindors, those who most liked and had fun with their joke products were the Hufflepuffs.

And as the two members of the Three Musketeers continued to check and analyze their joke items, the golden trio entered through the common room passage.

"Hey, what are you guys doing?" Ron asked as he approached the two with a curious look.

"Oh, we're checking out the products we're going to sell in our joke shop when we open it," George replied.

"But didn't mom forbid you two from creating and selling your joke items?" Ron asked with a frown.

"Yes, my dear Ickle Ronnikins, but what the eyes don't see..." Fred started to say.

"Mommy doesn't know," George finished for him, with both boys looking at their little brother with mischievous smiles.

"I don't think the expression is like that" Hermione whispered to Harry, who nodded as he looked at the twins with an amused smile.

"I don't know..." Ron said with a look of uncertainty, "Mom always ends up finding out about the things you do... and she'll be really angry if she finds out that you're still thinking about opening a joke shop"

And the twins knew Ron was right, and they frowned at that.

"I don't think they need to worry about it too much," Harry said, joining in the conversation and making everyone turn to him, "Sirius once told me that he was going to try to convince Mr. and Mrs. Weasley to leave Fred and George continue with their idea of opening a joke shop."

"Really?" Ron asked, and even the twins looked at the black-haired boy in surprise.

"Yes," Harry nodded, "He said he thought you two were very talented, and that he didn't want you to waste your talent like him."

And knowing that someone they considered a hero and an idol said this made the twins smile, feeling happy that another person supported their dream.

"Oh, well, if Sirius is going to talk to mom then I guess it's okay" Ron said, having complete trust in the man animagus.

And Hermione, who hadn't been involved in the conversation, remembered something when she heard the boys quoting Lord Black.

"Talking about Sirius," she began to say, looking at the twins, "Are you still in a prank war with him and Professor Lupin?" she asked.

"Well, not exactly" Fred said, which confused the golden trio.

"What do you mean?" Hermione asked.

"You know this was supposed to be a three-way war between us, Sirius and Remus, and Ethan, right?" George asked.

"Oh yes, Ethan is also involved in this prank war" Harry said, having forgotten about it.

"Yes, he is" Fred nodded, "And because of that this became a war between three groups where everyone should play pranks on each other"

"And during that time we played a lot of pranks on the Marauders and they played a lot of pranks on us" George continued.

"And we also try to play some pranks on Ethan, but somehow he always finds out and gets away with it" Fred said, a little disappointed.

"And the worst thing of all is that he always retaliates, and his pranks are 5 times more unpredictable, powerful and flashy" George said, shaking as he remembered the last retaliation they suffered.

"Yes" Fred grimaced at the memory, before shaking his head, "But well, we ended up discovering that Sirius and Remus were suffering at Ethan's hand just like us."

"And because of this, the four of us decided to enter into a temporary truce to deal with our common enemy, the great evil... Ethan Night" George said, with a serious and determined look.

"I see..." Hermione said slowly.

"In that case then you four are working together against Ethan, right?" Harry asked, and the twins nodded, "Well, how are you guys doing?"

And that question immediately discouraged the twins.

"Let's just say that his retaliation is now 10 times more powerful... And that I'm still being cautious when I choose my briefs" George said with a strange grimace.

"""Oh...""" the golden trio said, with Hermione and Harry looking at the twins with pity.

'Well, this could be considered karma for all the pranks they played on me as a child' Ron thought, feeling a vengeful smile appear on his face.

And the twins who saw that smile turned to face their gluttonous brother, and the look they were giving Ron said that they had found their next test subject, and that immediately sent Ron into a panic.

'Damn'

-Room of Requirement-

"So you're studying Thestrals?" Nick asked me, looking at the dozens of parchments that were on a table with a curious look.

"Yes, but more specifically about their magic" I replied, causing him to look at me with a raised eyebrow.

We were both in the Room of Requirement, as I had called Nick here to ask him for help with my research on the Thestrals, and I was currently showing them the parchments that contained the information I had collected about these winged creatures.

Most of the information came from books about magical creatures, but the rest was my own research and study.

And I could say that for the very specific topic that I was studying, which was the magic of the Thestrals, my research was the most complete and detailed that existed, mainly because I had help from my Magic Vision.

"But why would you be researching their magic? Does it have anything different compared to other magical creatures?" Nick asked me, taking one of the parchments from the table.

"You have no idea" I snorted, which only piqued the immortal wizard's interest.

Nick then started reading the parchment, which happened to be one of the first ones I wrote and which contained a summary of everything I discovered about the Thestrals.

At first he showed an interested expression, but the more he read the more his eyes widened in surprise, until at the end he put the parchment down and looked at me in complete shock.

"Is this all true?" he asked.

"Yes," I nodded, "The magic of the Thestrals is unlike any other… it is purer and more complex. And something inside them sucks in the magic around them and cleanses it, before expelling it out into the world as neutral magic," I explained.

"Incredible" Nick said in amazement, "That's a fantastic discovery"

"I know" I said, making a face, "But even with everything I know about them and their ability to purify magic, I still don't know enough."

"But why do you want more knowledge than that?" he asked me.

"Because I want to replicate and use their ability" I replied.

And my answer made Nick's eyes widen slightly.

He then started thinking about the things a human could do if they had this ability, and he realized that the possibilities were endless.

"Well, now I understand why you decided to ask for my help," he said, before placing his hand on his chin, "But you know, if you really want to know more about these creatures then I think you should talk to someone who studies them." he suggested.

"Yes, I was already planning to do that" I said, "But I wanted your help because of your great knowledge of centuries and because of your Magic Insight, which can see something that my Magic Vision cannot see"

"Unlikely," Nick snorted, knowing how powerful and complex my ability to see magic is compared to his and Penny's, "But well, since it was you who asked for my help then I feel obliged to help you to the best of my abilities" he said.

And hearing that I smiled, "Thank you"

"No need to thank me" he smiled, ruffling my hair, "That's the least I can do for my grandson"

'And besides, it's been a while since I've been involved in such... interesting research' he thought, feeling his scholarly heart beat faster.

End.
