--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Astoria, what do you mean you're cured?" her father asked with a tremor in his voice.

"I mean exactly that," Astoria responds calmly as she looks into her father's eyes, "I'm cured. The Blood Malediction is no longer in my blood and body... Now I'm a normal girl."

"Daughter, that's not possible" Elizabeth said with a sad smile, "Maybe you're wrong, and I understand that it must be difficult for you to always be sick, but a curse like that wouldn't disappear like that"

And hearing Elizabeth's words, Astoria didn't feel sad or angry, because she knew that her mother was saying it for her good.

But even so she shook her head, "I'm not wrong mom" she said, "I don't feel any more pain, I don't feel tired anymore, my magic is stronger, and now I can do everything I couldn't do before"

"Astoria, this..." her mother started to speak again, but the little girl cut her off.

"Look, I'm telling the truth, I'm healthy now" she insisted, before looking at her older sister, "And Daphne knows that."

And following her gaze her parents also looked at the Greengrass heiress who was silent until now.

And when they looked at her they saw that she was looking at her sister with her hands over her mouth with tears in her eyes.

"Daphne?" Sebastian called worriedly.

"I-I... I thought something had happened. That the curse had weakened or regressed" Daphne began to say with a trembling voice, "But now I know... I know that you changed not because the curse became weaker, but because it had disappeared"

And at that moment Daphne was looking at Astoria with different emotions in her eyes, but the strongest of them was happiness and relief.

And Astoria, seeing that look, smiled softly at her sister.

And seeing their always calm and collected daughter so shaken was a surprise to the two older Greengrasses.

But even after seeing this and listening to her words they still had a skeptical look on their faces, or rather, they had the look of someone who didn't want to have false hope.

And Astoria realized that, and she also realized that there was only one thing she could do to try to convince her parents.

And with a sigh Astoria stood up, "Look, if you still don't believe me, then why don't you cast the analysis spell on me?" she suggested, gesturing to herself.

The analysis spell Astoria was talking about was a spell created by the Greengrass family to inspect the blood and magic of those who belonged to their family for the Blood Malediction.

This spell was created because the Greengrasses were ashamed of the fact that their family was cursed, and so they wanted to keep the curse a secret.

And to remain a secret they couldn't go to a healer or the wizarding hospital every time they wanted to find out if the Blood Malediction had resurfaced.

And after hearing their daughter say to use the analysis spell on her, Lord and Lady Greengrass looked at each other with nervous expressions, realizing how serious Astoria was being about the matter.

And slowly and a little tensely, Sebastian stood up, taking his wand from its holster before pointing it at his daughter.

He then cast the spell on Astoria, and as soon as the spell hit her a purple glow covered her.

Everyone in the room began to look at Astoria carefully, with Sebastian and Elizabeth holding their breaths as they felt their hearts beat rapidly.

And after a few seconds, the purple glow in Astoria flickered before turning into a soft white light, disappearing shortly after.

And upon seeing this, Sebastian took a step back with a shocked expression on his face, while Elizabeth gaped.

"How is this possible?" he muttered in amazement.

"A white light... That means..." Elizabeth started to say.

"That Astoria no longer has the Blood Malediction in her blood" Daphne completed for her, still with wet eyes but also with a huge happy smile on her face.

"This... This..." Elizabeth stuttered, feeling tears start to fall down her cheeks.

And without saying anything else she got up from her seat, and in the blink of an eye she was already on the other side of the table hugging her youngest daughter, crying with joy.

"Oh my little Astoria... You are healed..." she cried, and Astoria hugged her back, without realizing that she was also crying.

She then felt a second pair of arms hugging her, and looking to the side she saw her sister, who was looking at her with a tearful, affectionate smile.

And it didn't take long for Sebastian to recover from his shock and join in the family hug.

'I dreamed about this for so long... And it's finally happening' Astoria thought, feeling her heart full of happiness and affection for her family.

'Thank you Ethan... Thank you for allowing me to make my dream come true' she mentally thanked, before closing her eyes and letting herself be absorbed by the feeling of love from her family.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

-Some time later-

As soon as the emotions subsided, everyone calmed down again, and the family of four returned to their seats around the table.

But even though everyone was calmer there was still a happy and joyful feeling in the air, and it wouldn't be wrong to say that this was the best Christmas for this family.

"I'm so happy that you're cured my daughter" Elizabeth said looking at Astoria with a smile on her face, holding her hand on the table.

"I'm also very happy, but how did this happen?" Sebastian asked as he frowned, "The Blood Malediction couldn't have disappeared on its own" and there was an apprehensive tone in his voice as he was afraid that this was just something temporary.

"Well, the curse didn't disappear on its own..." Astoria started to say, drawing attention to her, "Actually, I was cured by someone."

"For someone?" his mother repeated in surprise, "Who?" she asked.

"Oh... Well..." Astoria looked away, still in doubt about whether she should reveal Ethan's name or not.

And while Astoria was in a dilemma her sister looked at her with a thoughtful look.

'In fact, who cured Astoria?' Daphne wondered, her mind starting to work as she analyzed the situation and the facts.

'To be able to cure something like a Blood Malediction, someone has to be very powerful or has to understand a lot about magic' she reflected, frowning, 'I can think of a few people who fit these criteria, but that still doesn't explain why any of them would help us.'

Daphne realized that some piece was missing from this puzzle, but then she raised her eyes and looked at her sister, who looked restless.

'No, that someone didn't help us. Actually it would be more accurate to say that he or she helped Tori' she realized, 'But even so, what kind of connection does Tori have with this person for him to help her?'

Daphne then put her hand to her chin, 'Hmm, by the look in her eyes she must know this person, so that narrows down the list'

'So now I know that this mysterious person is someone who knows Astoria and probably likes her, is quite knowledgeable about magic, and is probably also powerful... And besides he must be in school, since that was the time when she was cured'

And before Daphne could even realize the image of a person came to her mind, fitting all the criteria she mentioned.

And with the image of that person in mind, Daphne looked at her sister, who was biting her lip as she looked down.

And it was at that moment that realization hit her, making her eyes widen slightly, "Night..." she muttered, but it was loud enough for the others to hear.

"Huh? Did you say something Daphne?" her father asked, and the girl turned to her parents.

"Night... Ethan Night" she said, still shaken by the discovery, "He was the one who cured Astoria"

And that made her parents blink in surprise, before they looked at Astoria who also looked surprised, but for a different reason.

"How did you find out?" Tori asked Daphne, before widening her eyes and covering her mouth, realizing too late that she had basically confessed that her sister was right.

"Wait, Ethan Night?" Elizabeth looked at them shocked, "Isn't he that boy from Daphne's year that you always talk about?"

And hearing this Sebastian raised his eyebrows, "Oh yes, I remember him at the Quidditch World Cup, he was with Lord Black's group"

"Yes, and he was the one who cured Astoria" Daphne nodded.

"But how? Isn't he your age?" her mother asked.

"Well, yes... But I can't deny that among all the wizards I know he is one of the best" Daphne replied, pursing her lips.

"He's not one of the best, he IS the best" Astoria said, pouting as she looked at her sister, who had a sour expression.

"Oh really?" This sparked Elizabeth's interest.

'Healing Astoria, receiving a compliment from Daphne, and having Astoria's admiration... Who is this boy?' she wondered.

And next to Lady Greengrass, Sebastian was looking down with a frown, as he felt that the name Ethan Night seemed familiar to him.

And after thinking for a while he remembered this name being mentioned in several articles in the Daily Prophet, "Wait, isn't this boy the Hogwarts champion in the Tri-Wizard Tournament? The same one who completely defeated a dragon until it became docile?"

"Yes, and he is also the grandson of Nicolas and Perenelle Flamel" Daphne said.

And again Lord and Lady Greengrass blinked in shock.

'So he's the heir to the Flamels everyone was talking about?' Sebastian thought.

However, with this information, the two older Greengrass began to connect the dots, understanding how a 14-year-old boy had managed to cure a Blood Malediction that had been in their family for centuries.

'A seemingly powerful and talented boy, with influential connections, and who cured my daughter of a theoretically incurable curse' Sebastian thought, scratching his chin.

'Maybe I should set up a meeting with this Ethan Night so we can have a little chat...'

End.
