-Ravenclaw common room-

It didn't take long for me to arrive at Ravenclaw Tower, and after solving the silver knocker riddle I entered the common room, where I saw almost all of my housemates sitting or standing around chatting, as if they were waiting for something or someone.

"Why are you all here?" I asked, with everyone quickly turning their heads towards me as soon as they heard my voice.

But instead of answering me, everyone started applauding and exclaiming excitedly, with many of my colleagues coming up to me to shake my hand or pat me on the back.

"My friend, what you showed us today was something I'm sure I'll never forget" Roger said, throwing an arm over my shoulder.

"Err... Thanks, I guess" I said, but then I shook my head, "Wait, you guys haven't answered me yet. Why is everyone down here in the common room?"

"We're all here because we obviously have to celebrate" Roger said, gesturing around.

And looking around I noticed for the first time that there were some decorations scattered around the common room, and in the corner there were two tables next to each other with lots of drinks and food.

"And celebrate what exactly?" I asked, even though I already knew the answer.

"Celebrate the fact that the Hogwarts champion, our silver star Ravenclaw, not only defeated but also tamed a dragon, and managed to take first place among the champions in the Tri-Wizard tournament!" he said, happily shouting the last part.

And my other colleagues shouted at him together, as happy as he was.

And right after that, music started playing from somewhere, signaling that the party had started.

All the ravens present in the common room then began to dance, talk, and play, while eating and drinking the food that the house elves made.

And seeing everyone enjoying the party I shook my head with an ironic smile, before going to join my friends who were in the corner of the common room near the library.

"Hey" I said to them, "Did you know they were planning to have this party?" I asked.

"No, when we got here they were already preparing everything" Lisa replied, and I nodded.

"Changing the subject" Anthony started to say, drawing attention to him, "How was the rest of the tour with your parents?"

"It was really good" I replied, smiling softly, "Unfortunately they had to go home, but they promised they would be here to watch the other two tasks"

"Well, I can't wait for it then, I loved talking to your mom, she's really smart" Padma said.

"Yes, and Cele is so cute!" Sue exclaimed, smiling like a child who found her favorite stuffed animal.

"Everyone says that" I snorted in amusement.

"By the way, speaking of the next tasks, did you see what the clue is for the second task in that golden egg you got?" Terry looked at me with a questioning look.

"Not yet," I said, taking the golden egg out of my pocket before canceling the shrinking spell.

"Well then what are you waiting for? Let's see what that clue is" Anthony said, and I frowned slightly.

And the reason I was frowning was because I knew the clue to the second task was a song-shaped riddle in the Merpeople language, Mermish.

And the Mermish when heard out of the water was just a shrill, harsh sound, and because of my enhanced hearing I was sure that my ears would suffer more than my colleagues' ears from this 'song'.

"I think it would be better if we see what the clue is at another time" I said, "Our colleagues put so much effort into preparing this party, so let's enjoy it and celebrate, and after the party we can go into Sherlock Holmes mode"

And listening to me, my friends nodded their heads in agreement with me, with Anthony pouting in disappointment.

After that, my friends and I decided to stop talking about the tasks and started to enjoy the party, eating, drinking, talking, and playing with our other colleagues.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

I had just finished a conversation with the Quidditch team when I saw Luna going to the table that had the drinks, and remembering that I had something to talk to her I went towards her.

"Luna Lovegood" I called her with a small smile.

"Ethan Night" she said back, turning to me while holding a glass of blackberry juice in her hand.

"Could I talk to you alone?" I asked, and she tilted her head before looking around.

"Hmm, I believe we are alone" she said, seeing that there was no one near us.

"I know, but I would like to talk to you in a more private place, where there are fewer people who could overhear our conversation."

"Oh, I see," she nodded.

And when I saw her nod I grabbed her hand, then we started heading towards the common room entrance, planning to leave discreetly.

Well, not so discreetly since our friends saw us leaving, but they remained quiet and just looked at us leaving with knowing smiles.

After walking a bit I took Luna to a corridor that had no portraits or ghosts, where I could talk to her without having to worry about our conversation being reported to the Headmaster.

"Well, I don't think anyone will listen to our conversation here" I said looking around.

"Uhum" Luna nodded, looking down at our joined hands with slightly flushed cheeks.

And I noticed some strange feelings coming from her, and realizing the direction she was looking at I quickly let go of her hand.

"Oh, sorry" I said a little embarrassed.

"Don't worry" she gave me a slight smile, and I looked at her for a few seconds.

'Cute' I thought, before shaking my head.

"Ahem" I cleared my throat, deciding to focus on why we were here, "I called you here because I wanted to ask you something"

"Ask what?" she tilted her head in curiosity.

"Well, you like magical creatures, right?" I asked, and Luna nodded, "And among magical creatures you seem to really like dragons, don't you?"

"Yes, they are beautiful, big, and amazing," she said, before making a confused expression, "But what about it?"

"I'm getting there" I said, before continuing, "But well, since you like dragons, I'm sure you'd love to play and talk to a real dragon, wouldn't you?"

"Uhm" she nodded, wondering why I was asking all these questions.

'He's acting strange... Could it be that the Bludong gnomes bewitched him?' she asked herself a little worriedly.

And unaware of my friend's peculiar thoughts I continued.

"In that case, what I wanted to ask you is if you would like to accompany me to the forbidden forest to meet some of my dragon friends."

"Dragon friends?" she asked as she blinked in surprise, "Are you talking about the dragons that were used in the first task?"

"Yes" I replied, and Luna's eyes widened slightly.

And I could feel her feelings of excitement and curiosity rising.

"And you want me to meet them?" she began to fidget excitedly.

"Uhum" I nodded, looking at her with amusement, "So, will you go with me to meet my friends?"

"Yes!" she responded quickly, before grabbing my hand with both of hers and starting to bounce around, "When are we going to meet them? Would they let me pet them? Could they take me on a flight on their back? Do I bring them something to eat? What do they eat?"

And listening to her barrage of questions I smiled with an exasperated but affectionate look.

"Calm down Luna" I said, placing my free hand on her shoulder to stop her from skipping around the castle.

"The dragons are going to be taken away this morning, so I was planning on visiting them tonight," I said, and I could see his eyes light up in anticipation, "And as for your other questions, you can ask them yourself." I shrugged.

"Ask them? But how? I don't know if they understand human language, and I don't speak roar" she asked, frowning slightly.

"Oh, don't worry about it, you'll be able to talk to them" I said with a mysterious smile.

And upon hearing this Luna looked at me confused, but showing her faith in me she just nodded.

"Okay, since you accepted then let's go" I said, and Luna blinked in surprise.

"Now?"

"Yes" I nodded, "The sooner we go see the dragons, the more time we can spend with them, and besides, I know you are excited to meet and play with a dragon."

"It's a dragon, who wouldn't be excited to be able to play with one?" she asked as she tilted her head.

"…"

"…"

"…"

"…"

"Touché"

End.
