After the Hogsmeade visit ended I went back to the castle with my friends, and after lunch I started looking for Harry.

Using ATLAS I found him in the library with his two faithful friends, and then I headed in that direction.

Arriving at the library I saw the trio sitting and talking, and I also noticed a small pile of books on the table they were at.

"Hey" I said, approaching them, interrupting their conversation which seemed to be important due to their serious and concentrated expressions.

"Oh, hey Ethan," Harry greeted me, and I could feel that he was tense.

"Hey bro" "Hi" Ron and Hermione also greeted me, and I looked at them, surprised to see an open book in Ron's hands.

And curiously, I looked at the cover of this book, recognizing it as a special edition book about dragons.

I then turned around and saw the books that were on the table, seeing that most were about spells while the rest were about magical creatures.

'Hmm, so they were doing research to help Harry with the first task' I realized.

"So Ethan, what are you doing here?" Hermione asked, snapping me out of my thoughts.

"Oh, I came to ask Harry if he needed my help" I replied.

"Your help? For what?" Harry asked confused.

"To complete the first task obviously" I said, and he blinked for a moment, still showing a confused expression.

"Did you forget that I promised to help you survive this tournament?" I asked rolling my eyes.

"Oh" he said, slightly surprised.

And I shook my head with a wry smile, before pulling out a chair to sit with them.

"Well, from what I can see you are already preparing for the first task" I said, gesturing to the books on the table.

"Yes, we were trying to think of a strategy to use for the task" Harry said.

And Hermione, who was listening to us, turned to me.

"Err… Ethan, you know what the challenge of the first task will be, right?" she asked me.

"Do you want to know if I know that dragons are going to be part of the task?" I asked with a slight smile, "Well, if the letter Charlie sent the twins wasn't a good enough hint, I guess that would have made me find out." I pointed to the book in Ron's arms.

"I know Ron has a phobia about books, so seeing him reading one is something that draws a lot of attention" I joked, with the red-haired boy looking at me offended, even though he didn't know what a phobia was.

"True," Hermione laughed, "But it's a relief that you already know about dragons. We were worried because we didn't know if you understood the meaning of Charlie's letter."

"Yes, we were even thinking about looking for you to tell you about what we knew," Harry said, and I smiled at them.

"Well, I appreciate your concern" I said, "But well, changing the subject, do you already have a plan to survive the dragon and finish the task?"

"Actually, we've thought of some plans," Hermione said, handing me a parchment.

Taking the parchment I began to read what was written on it, seeing that it was a list of possible plans and strategies.

Summon a broom with the Accio spell, create a smokescreen to hide, try to blind the dragon, cast several stunning spells on it, learn and use the disillusionment charm, use the Corporeal Patronus to distract the dragon.

'It seems that having more time to create a strategy was a good thing for them' I thought, somewhat impressed.

"These plans are interesting, and most of them could work," I commented, and they smiled proudly.

"It could be, but we still don't know which of these plans to use" Hermione said.

"Yes. We don't know what the task will be like, but we are sure that I will need to face the dragon," Harry began to say, with a frown, "However, we are in doubt as to which of these strategies will be most effective and help me to have a better chance of surviving with all my limbs intact."

And listening to him I tilted my head to the side.

"I don't see how that's a problem" I commented, making them look at me.

"What do you mean?" Ron asked.

"Well, if you're in doubt about which of these plans to use, then it's very simple" I started to say, and they looked at me carefully, "Just use them all"

"What?" Harry looked at me without understanding.

"Most of these plans are not that difficult to implement, so my suggestion is to use all of them to face the dragon, as this can increase your chances of surviving" and hearing me, the golden trio blinked, looking at each other with perplexed expressions in their faces.

'''Why didn't we think of that?!''' they thought.

"There are still a few days until the day of the first task" I continued, unaware of the inner thoughts of this trio of Gryffindors, "So I'm sure that with a lot of effort Harry will be able to learn the necessary spells to use in these plans"

"But some of these spells are from sixth and seventh year," Harry said nervously.

"Said the boy who knows how to cast a Corporeal Patronus" I snorted, and Harry looked away embarrassed, but somewhat happy.

And Hermione at his side patted him on the shoulder, smiling at him proudly.

"But well, since we're all on board with the plan, how about we start Harry's training?" I said.

"And what are we going to start with?" Harry asked.

"I can teach you the Disillusionment Charm" I shrugged.

"Wait, can you cast the Disillusionment Charm?" Hermione asked me in surprise, and I just looked at her with a blank stare.

And noticing my look, her cheeks flushed.

"Of course you can" she murmured, and I nodded with an amused look.

"But what about you Ethan?" Ron asked me suddenly.

"Me what?" I asked.

"Don't you also have to prepare for the first task? You are a champion too" he said.

"Oh, I already have a plan in mind, and I've already made all the preparations" I waved my hand dismissively.

"Oh" Ron nodded, surprised but not asking anything else.

Hermione and Harry also looked at me in surprise, much more curious than Ron, but when they saw me smiling calmly they realized I wasn't going to tell them anything.

'You'll have to wait until the day of the task to see what I have planned' I thought, smiling mischievously.

-Next Day – Breakfast-

At this moment I was going to have my breakfast, but on my way to the Great Hall I heard someone calling me.

"Ethan" turning around I saw Hagrid walking towards me.

"Good morning Hagrid" I said to him smiling.

"Good morning" he said back, with his usual kind and cheerful look.

After that we continued to walk in a comfortable silence, and after a while I spoke.

"So Hagrid, you didn't call me just to walk with me, did you?" I asked, and he scratched the back of his head.

"Yes, actually I wanted to talk to you about something" he said, and I looked at him curiously.

"Oh, what do you want to talk to me about?"

"Actually, I wanted you to come to my cabin at midnight tonight," he said, looking around to make sure no one was listening.

"I'm sorry Hagrid, but I don't think that's possible" I said with an apologetic look.

I knew he wanted me to come to his cabin because he wanted to show me the dragons with Harry.

But I already knew about dragons, and I didn't want to follow him in his moment of courting the Headmistress of Beauxbatons.

"Ethan, this is very important" he said with a serious expression.

"This is about the dragons, isn't it?" I said, surprising him.

"You know?" he asked.

"You know I spend almost as much time as you in the forbidden forest, right?" I snorted, "I saw those dragons the day they got here."

"Oh" he said, and I could hear a bit of envy in his tone, which made me smile in amusement.

"And... And what are they like?" he asked, fidgeting with an expectant and excited look.

"They are beautiful" I said softly.

And hearing this a huge smile appeared on Hagrid's face.

'In fact, he's like a big fluffy bear who loves animals' I thought.

End.
