"Did he say Nicolas and Perenelle Flamel?!"

"Isn't that man the inventor and creator of the Philosopher's Stone?"

"I heard from a teacher of mine that they are over 600 years old!"

"My grandfather said he went to one of her seminars in Ireland when he was a child"

When they heard the names of the special guests, everyone was surprised and shocked.

Seeing two of the most famous and important wizards in the wizarding world in person was something no one expected to happen today.

Nick and Penny were famous all over the world, mainly in the United Kingdom, France and the United States, and now students from the most important schools in two of those places were in the presence of these two people.

Both Beauxbatons and Hogwarts students were staring at them with stars in their eyes, whispering and talking excitedly, unable to contain their excitement.

And among all these students was me, who if I were in a cartoon would have a big question mark above my head.

'When did they become ambassadors for the International Confederation of Wizards? And why didn't they tell me?' I wondered, looking at Nick and Penny, who walked up to the staff table, greeting the Headmaster like old friends.

Nick and Penny then sat down in the two empty seats, greeting those around them, and I could tell that even the teachers were surprised and excited.

And in fact, the only one who had somewhat bad feelings about their presence was the fake Moody, and the feelings were more of nervousness and worry, probably afraid that these two incredible wizards could ruin their mission.

Nick, who was sitting next to Professor McGonagall glanced over the students, and I made a strange face when he looked at me and simply ignored me.

'Why are they ignoring me?' I asked myself confused.

I could feel feelings of amusement coming from Nick and longing and affection coming from Penny, so I knew there had to be a reason why they weren't even looking at me.

But as I wondered why, I felt a faint pulse of magic coming from the left pocket of my cloak.

Reaching into my pocket I felt a piece of parchment that wasn't there before, and I could recognize Nick's magic in the parchment.

Picking up this piece of parchment I saw that there was something written on it, and reading it I blinked in confusion.

'Meet us in our room after curfew' I read, before lifting my head and looking at Nick, who discreetly looked at me and nodded.

'Okay... now I'm curious to know why they are being so discreet and mysterious' I thought, nodding my head at him slowly.

And unaware of the silent agreement that had just taken place, the Headmaster continued with Nick and Penny's introduction.

"I'm happy to see that you were all excited about our guests, because until the end of the tournament they will be acting as teachers here at Hogwarts" the Headmaster said, smiling happily.

"WHAT?!" almost every student shouted, looking between the Headmaster and the Flamels wondering if it was a joke.

'I wasn't expecting this...' I thought with my mouth open, 'Actually, since they appeared I've only been receiving unexpected news'

"But know that their classes don't just extend to Hogwarts students. Students from Beauxbatons and Durmstrang who wish to participate in their classes will also be allowed" the Headmaster continued, and now even the students from the other two schools were excited.

The Headmaster didn't even say what Nick and Penny would teach us, but that didn't matter to any of the students, since obviously two alchemist wizards and masters in different branches of magic who were over six hundred years old would be great teachers in anything they wanted to teach.

And I, who can be considered a student of both, can say that this is true.

The amount of knowledge that Nick and Penny had, in addition to the fact that they had a connection with magic and their Magic Insight, made them masters in almost any branch of magic.

And I would venture to say that because of the factors mentioned above, they were superior to most or all of the teachers in the three schools in their own subjects.

"Man, I can't believe we're going to be taught by Nicolas Flamel himself!" Terry exclaimed in an excited whisper, "He's like, the most amazing wizard alive!"

"And I can't believe we're going to take classes with Perenelle Flamel, I have almost all of her books!" Sue said, almost as excited as Terry, her eyes shining in a typical fangirl way, "Would she sign my books?"

"Huh? I didn't know you were a fan of hers" I said, looking at her strangely.

"Oh, Ethan dear, there are many secrets about me that you don't know" she said with a slight smile, looking at me in a way that gave me goosebumps.

"...Okay" I said slowly, deciding to let the matter go.

I then began to look around, feeling all the feelings of excitement and anticipation from my housemates, and surprisingly one of the people excited and motivated about the prospect of learning from Nick and Penny was Luna.

'Hmm, actually that's not that surprising. Luna is a peculiar girl who is very intelligent and curious, so it's not a surprise that she is interested in Nick and Penny who also have these same characteristics... mainly the part about being peculiar' I reflected, placing a finger on my chin while looking at the dreamy girl.

But while I was thinking about this, the Headmaster spoke again as soon as most of the students calmed down, drawing everyone's attention.

"Over the past few months, Mr. Crouch and Mr. Bagman have worked tirelessly organizing and preparing for the tournament..." he began to say, gesturing to the two men behind him, "And now they will be joining myself, Professor Karkaroff, and Madame Maxime on the panel that will judge the champions' results and effors in each task."

'Hmm, so Nick and Penny won't be on the jury...' I thought.

"The casket, please, Mr. Filch," the Headmaster said, gesturing to the castle's surly caretaker.

Filch then approached him, carrying a large, ancient-looking wooden chest that had some precious stones inlaid in it.

And looking at the box I could feel a powerful magic coming from inside it.

"Mr. Bagman and Mr. Crouch have already analyzed and revised the instructions for the tasks that the champions will face," the Headmaster said as Filch placed the chest carefully on a table in front of him.

"They have made the necessary arrangements for each challenge, and there will be a total of three tasks that will occur spaced throughout the school year, and these tasks will test the champions in different ways…"

"The tasks will challenge and test the expertise in magic, courage, powers of deduction and, of course, the ability to face danger of the chosen champions" and when the Headmaster paused everyone looked at him tensely, paying attention to each phrase, word and syllable he said.

"As you all know, three champions compete in the tournament, one from each school" the Headmaster spoke calmly again, "They will receive marks for their performance in each of the tasks, and the one who has obtained the highest result in each task will receive advantages that will give you greater chances against other competitors, and at the end of the third task, the one with the best results will win the Tri-Wizard Cup."

"And to make it fair to everyone, the champions will be chosen by an impartial selector... the Goblet of Fire!" and with that sentence the Headmaster pulled out his wand and tapped three times upon the top of the casket.

The top of the casket slowly opened with a creak, and as soon as it was fully opened the Headmaster reached inside it and pulled out a large, roughly hewn wooden cup.

The cup was as described in the books, different from the refined and glamorous appearance of the cup in the movies, and if I couldn't feel the magic coming from it I would consider it an ordinary wooden cup.

Of course, if we forget the fact that the cup was filled to the brim with bluish-white flames, which moved mesmerizingly as if it were dancing.

'So that is the Goblet of Fire...' I thought impressed, analyzing the magic of the cup and being surprised by its purity.

'I don't know who the creator of the Goblet of Fire was, but he was definitely a magical genius'

End.
