Yeah! Here's the new chapter!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

As soon as lunch was over, all the teenagers, Dora and Cele went to the living room, leaving the adults in the kitchen to talk about their boring serious business.

I also left the kitchen, but instead of following the twins or the golden trio, I separated from them, with me saying I needed to check something in the library.

Obviously I only said this to the twins, as I knew that if Hermione heard the word library she would want to join me, like the book lover that she was.

The twins didn't suspect a thing, already knowing that like Hermione, I was also a book lover.

Parting with them I went to the front of the library door, and as soon as I got in front of it and felt that there was no one around I used the disillusionment charm on myself.

Invisible and without making a sound, I went back and up the stairs that led towards the second floor where the rooms were, and arriving on this floor I headed towards Regulus' room.

'Well, now I just need to see if this works' I thought, pulling out of my pocket a small pyramid with four square holes on each side.

This small object had many hieroglyphs on it, but if one looked closely they would notice that these hieroglyphs had several very small runes engraved on them.

This item was a gift that Penny gave me, which was basically a key that used a set of several runes, and thanks to these runes said item could, in theory, open any magically locked door and lock, and moreover could also break any ward.

Penny had created this item specifically for me, knowing I had a tendency to 'invade' places, and she named this ward-breaking key pyramid as Ethan's Happy.

Obviously she's not very good when it comes to naming things, which is why I decided to call the item Elder Key.

'I hope you don't disappoint me' I thought placing the Elder Key in front of the door of Regulus' room, pressing the top of it.

The pyramid then shook a little, before its top opened, with several lines of light going up through it and heading towards the door.

After that, these lines of light stuck to the door, and I could see with my Magic Vision that the blocking magic that was on the door began to intertwine with the pyramid's magic, and after a few seconds it disappeared, or rather, it was absorbed by the Elder Key.

'Hmm, so instead of literally breaking the ward or blocking spell the Elder Key actually absorbs them? Interesting' I mused, and then began to look with renewed focus at the magic that was both inside and outside the item.

'Actually, it looks like the blocking spell is being stored inside the pyramid... And from what I know of Penny, she probably did this so that in the end I can put the spell or ward back in place, so it seems that there was never an invasion'

And coming to that conclusion, I nodded to myself in awe.

"This is an amazing gift" I said to myself, already thinking about my next use for it.

But that aside, I picked up the Elder Key from the floor, and rising to my feet I approached the door, placing my hand on the doorknob and turning it.

And with a click I heard the door open, causing a smile to appear on my face.

"Nice," I said, opening the door and stepping into Sirius' late younger brother's room.

"Ugh, and I thought Sirius was in love with his house," I said, looking with disgust at the room with wallpaper, sheets, and blanket in the colors green, silver and black.

"In fact, I'm pretty sure this room was decorated like this because of Walburga"

And saying that I started to look even more strangely at the room, but shaking my head I went back to concentrating on my mission.

Using my senses I started looking for Slytherin's Locket, focusing on any kind of powerful dark magic.

"I found you" I mumbled.

Starting to walk I went to the closet that was in the corner of the room, but instead of opening its door I bent down, looking at the wooden floor, noticing that one part of the floor was different from the others.

And with a little effort I lifted that piece of flooring, finding beneath it a dark wooden box that exuded a vile magic I was already familiar with.

"It really is a great hiding place, but who put the Locket here?" I wondered, looking across the room to a box full of other dark magic items, "I don't think Sirius or Remus would separate the Locket without even knowing what it is, so there's only one answer left, that Kreacher hid it."

"But well, I can't be thinking about that right now, I have to get out of here fast." I said to myself, picking up the box and getting up.

And just to confirm that what was inside was really the Slytherin's Locket I opened the box, and just as I expected the precious item of the blood purist founder of Hogwarts was inside the box.

"Actually this is a very nice Locket" I commented, nodding, "Maybe I'll make one just like it for myself and--Argh!"

And before I could finish my sentence I felt a terrible pain, and immediately I got down on my knees.

The pain was coming from my hands, going through my arms and spread throughout my body, and I could feel that this pain was hitting my body not in a physical way, but in another way.

'Damn... again!' I thought, gritting my teeth.

Just as it had when I took the Ravenclaw Diadem, my magic reacted to the piece of Voldemort's soul inside the Locket.

I could feel my magic trying to break free to counter the effects of this dark magic, but I managed to control it enough that it didn't leak out and alert the other people in the house.

As my magic got into a tug of war with Locket's magic I started getting flashes and visions, but I was in so much pain that I couldn't even analyze them properly.

And as my agony continued, I heard a crack coming from near me, and suddenly I felt the Locket being taken from my hand.

Still somewhat disoriented and panting heavily, I lifted my head, only to find Kreacher in front of me glaring at me as he held the box with the Locket close to his chest protectively.

"What is the mudblood doing in Master Regulus' room!?" he asked me angrily.

But then instead of answering him I just looked at him, still trying to control my magic. However, I still accidentally leaked some magic, which hit the Kreacher and made him freeze in fear.

Catching my breath, I sat down on the ground tiredly, before looking at the elf who looked at me scared without moving.

"Kreacher" I called him, and I could see him shiver, which made me frown before sighing, "Listen, I need this Locket, it's a..." I started to say, but Kreacher cut me off.

"No!" he exclaimed, clutching the box even tighter to his chest, "This is Master Regulus's locket, and I won't let you take it!"

"Sigh... Listen Kreacher, I know this Locket isn't Regulus's, and I know it belongs to Voldemort" and as soon as I said that Kreacher squealed, cringing.

"Don't say that name," he whispered fearfully, looking around as if he expected the Dark Lord himself to appear and curse us.

"Okay, it's just a name, you don't have to be afraid" I said, but that did nothing to alleviate the old elf's worry or fear.

Sighing, I realized that Kreacher wouldn't give up the locket so easily, and so I started thinking about how to convince him to give it to me.

I knew I had Kreacher's command and that I could order him to give me the locket, but I didn't want that for two reasons.

The first is that I knew the Kreacher wasn't bad, and that taking the locket from him would be the same as making him break the last promise he made to his beloved master.

And the second reason is that I preferred not to take the locket by force from him as it might make him resentful of me, and I would rather be Kreacher's friend than an enemy.

And with those two reasons, I figured the only way to get the Locket from him without ordering it would be to tell him the truth, or at least the truth about what the magic in the Locket is and why I need it.

End.
