-Room of Requirement-

"After all these years of waiting, I can finally get my hands on this bloody rat" Sirius muttered, looking at the cage Pettigrew was trapped in.

He then started to stretch his hands towards the cage, a look of anger and hatred on his face, but before he could touch the cage I pulled it away from him and slammed my hand down on the table.

Seeing that I had taken the cage away from him, Sirius turned to me angrily, only to find my cold gaze staring back at him.

"Come on... Do it... But let me know beforehand how you want me to hand over your body to the Dementors, as that will be your fate if you continue with these stupid thoughts of revenge!" I said, almost screaming at the end.

Seeing my glare, Sirius took a step back.

"After all the time and effort I spent planning how to exonerate you, thinking about how I would help you to be part of Harry's life again, you just want to throw it all away killing this motherfucking rat because you can't think for a second like a normal person and not like a clueless Gryffindor idiot!" I growled, approaching step by step to Sirius, who was standing in place, looking shocked, "If you want to die, then drown in the black lake, or go kiss a Dementor and stop wasting my time and the time of the people who are trying hard to exonerate you"

When I stopped talking I was already in front of Sirius, looking at him with cold eyes and clenched fists, and Sirius refused to meet my eyes, looking down in embarrassment.

Realizing I'd let my emotions get the best of me, I took a deep breath to calm myself, taking a few steps back.

"Sorry, I think I overreacted," I said, but Sirius cut me off.

"No... You're right" he said, looking at the floor, "I almost screwed it up again... I'm sorry"

"...Don't worry, I think you have the right to want to kill him" I said, and Sirius lifted his head to look at me, "I can't say I understand you, but if I were in your shoes I'd would probably also want to kill the traitor who basically killed my friends"

Listening to me, Sirius just remained silent, and I glanced at him only to see that he was looking at Pettigrew's cage.

"You may not know how I feel, but after everything you've done for me I think you have the right to criticize me or be mad at me for doing something stupid," he said, looking away from the cage and turning to me, "So thanks for keeping me from screwing up," he said with a small smile.

"Well... You're welcome, I guess," I said, chuckling lightly.

With the mood a little lighter, we turned our gaze to Pettigrew's cage.

"You know, we need a way to keep him from waking up or turning human again," I said, and I heard Sirius let out a small huff.

"No need to worry about that," he said, and I turned to him confused.

Noticing my confused look he started to explain, "What did you think those spells I cast on the cage were for?" he asked.

Hearing his question my eyes widened in realization.

"I've spent at least 12 years thinking of ways to capture, torture, and kill this human trash, and I've finally discovered a good use for some of the spells my dark family taught me when I was a kid," he continued, a rather cruel smile on his face.

Listening to him I could only look with mild curiosity at the cage.

"Sigh... Well, then that means we have one less problem," I said, turning to walk over to a table that held a parchment with the notes for my plan to exonerate Sirius, "But we still have to complete the other phases of the plan, and they will be the most difficult" I continued.

"Yeah, I was expecting that" Sirius sighed, 'Difficult huh…' he thought.

Sirius was lost in thought and I had my back to him so he couldn't see that I had stopped walking and that I was frowning at my hands.

'For a moment I really felt like hurting Sirius when I got angry' I thought, opening and closing my hands, 'And I shouldn't have exploded like that, my occlumency should have kept me calm... Actually, even without occlumency I shouldn't have been so angry'

'And this isn't the first time my emotions have taken over me and I've become aggressive… And this is worrying to say the least' I reflected with a frown on my face.

I continued to think for a moment about my reaction and my violent emotions, and lowering my hands I let out a deep breath, before looking up with a worried look.

'What's happening to me?'

-November 27, Saturday – Day of the second match of this Quidditch season-

"So Ethan, are you nervous?" Anthony asked me as we had breakfast in the Great Hall.

I was still chewing my toast so I couldn't answer him, but Terry did it for me.

"Are you asking if Ethan is nervous about a Quidditch match?" Terry asked Anthony, looking at him strangely.

"..."

"..."

"..."

"..."

"Okay, that was a stupid question" Anthony said.

And listening to him Terry huffed, "Understatement" he said.

Rolling his eyes, Anthony decided to ignore him and turned to me again.

"Changing the question… So Ethan, are you ready to squash some badgers?" he asked, and I looked at him blankly.

"You know, that coming from an honorary badger is kind of ironic," I said, and this time it was Anthony's turn to stare blankly at me.

"I'm not an honorary badger," he said.

"We would believe that... if it were true" Terry said with a mocking smile.

"Sigh…I hate you guys" Anthony said, and Terry and I looked at each other before shrugging our shoulders.

""Nah, you don't"" we said, and Anthony groaned in exasperation.

-Quidditch Pitch – Ravenclaw Versus Hufflepuff-

"And entering the field now is the defending champion team, undefeated for two years in a row... THE RAVENCLAW!!" Lee shouted excitedly to the euphoria of the ravens from the blue and bronze stands, "At the front we have the beautiful new Seeker of the ravens, CHO CHANG! Followed closely by Keeper Dylan Bailey and by Beaters, Christi Collins and Miles Owens!"

"And to top it off we have the incredible and invincible trio of Chasers, with Davis now as the new captain of Ravenclaw and... ARE YOU KIDDING?!" Lee yelled in surprise scaring everyone on the pitch. He then quickly rose from his seat in the announcer and commentator's stand, leaning forward to get a better look, "Is Ethan Night flying in a fucking Firebolt!?"

At Lee's shocked question, everyone in the stands turned their eyes to me, and gradually everyone realized that I wasn't flying on my Nimbus, but on a different broom, a broom that many have seen through the windows of some Quidditch supply store, and the most fanatical of Quidditch have even dreamed of this broom.

When realization finally hit them, the crowd of students and teachers broke into a shocked hubbub, with everyone talking and commenting about my broom while pointing at me.

"Holy shit Ethan! Are you the son of some broom maker by any chance!?" Lee asked me still shocked.

Ignoring Lee's shocked comments or the surprised whispers of students and teachers in the stands, I focused on the match, seeing the two captains were greeting each other in the center of the field next to Madam Hooch.

As they greeted each other I could see the Hufflepuff players looking at me, or more accurately, at my broom with nervousness and concern.

With everyone getting ready for the start of the match, I went to my position, remembering the strategy Roger had passed on to all of us.

The strategy we created was that we should measure the offense and defense of the Hufflepuff team before we started to play seriously, and as I had the best broom I would act as the central support to defend our area of the field and to make passes, and meanwhile Roger and Isa would test the Puffs' defense and the Keeper' ability.

With that in mind, the moment Madam Hooch blew her whistle we began our strategy.

The match started, and for the first 9 minutes I continued to act as a barrier to stop the enemy chasers from advancing, but I knew this couldn't go on for long.

The way the match was going, the odds of the Ravenclaw team losing were high, and unless we moved forward, we had no way of winning.

Chang and Ced's dispute for the snitch in the end would end with Ced's possible victory, as he has a better broom and more experience playing as a Seeker.

But that's not to say that Chang doesn't have a chance of catching the Snitch, it's just that it would be difficult, and that's why we would have to decide the match by the normal points scored with the quaffle.

We had to score more than 160 points, so even if Ced got the snitch we would still have 10 points more, bringing us the win.

Fortunately currently we were already 90 points ahead, even though I didn't participate much in the attacks, and none of the Seekers had seen the snitch yet, and that was because the little golden ball with wings was flying low near the lawns in front of the west stands.

"It's a good thing that half the Hufflepuff team is new players," I muttered, dodging a Bludger that came from my back without even looking at it.

Returning to my position, I looked around noticing that the Hufflepuff chasers were about to make a rehearsed move, and my eyes narrowed.

I then looked to the side and saw Roger nod at me, flying into the defensive position next to Isabell.

"Well... then I guess it's time to start the show," I said, and with a wild smile I shot forward at high speed, using all the good attributes of my Firebolt.

And in a flash, I quickly passed the Hufflepuff Chasers as they exchanged passes with each other with the quaffle, and catching the quaffle in midair they watched without reaction as I flew towards their team's goal.

The enemy keeper looked at me in surprise, not expecting a sudden attack, and taking advantage of his surprise I threw the quaffle hard imto the hoop that was furthest from him, and like a bullet the quaffle fired, passing through the hoop with the Keeper gaping at me.

"Fine, 10 more points" I said to myself, and looking down at my broom a smile grew on my face, "But well, I guess it's time to show you what we can do, right?" I asked my broom, and with a fierce smile and eyes glowing excitedly I continued my attack.

And that was the central part of Roger's proposed strategy. While he and Lisa would be using the opening minutes of the game to test the Puffs' defense I would be on defense analyzing their playstyle, and after my analysis was finished I would use my speed advantage and my flying skills to initiate a rampant attack.

'Yeah... I'm definitely ready to squash some badgers' I thought in wild glee, remembering the question Anthony had asked me.

End.
