-Gryffindor Versus Slytherin-

I was seeing the two teams competing for the quaffle in the sky, hidden between the dark clouds to most eyes, but my good eyesight allowed me to see the players perfectly, and even the snitch that was flying over the south stands, far from the two Seekers.

I was staring at the sky, using my empathy and my senses to the fullest, trying to sense the approach of the Dementors, which I knew were going to attack.

But as I tried to sense the Dementors I started to think about what I would do when they appeared.

The most obvious answer would be to cast my Patronus, but I knew that my Incorporeal Patronus would not be able to expel them.

Even though my Patronus is potent, the Quidditch pitch is still very large, and as they would be in the sky, my patronus' reach would hardly reach them, and at most I could protect a few stands next to me.

With all these thoughts in mind, I came to the conclusion that the only thing I could do would be to alert the teachers about the attack, and then I would let them settle the matter with their Corporeal Patronus.

And with that said, I just realized that maybe I might be a little jealous of them... But just maybe.

"It's official now, I hate you Anthony" Terry said, hugging himself for warmth.

"Huh? What did I do?" Anthony asked in surprise.

"Why the hell did you want to come see this match when we can't even see anything in this rain!" Terry yelled indignantly, pointing to the dark sky thanks to the rain clouds.

"What do you mean? Of course we can see something" Anthony snapped.

"Oh, so what are you seeing?" Terry asked in defiance with a raised eyebrow.

"Well..." Anthony started to say, looking up through squinted eyes in an attempt to see further, "Err...I'm seeing the players on their broomsticks...flying? I mean, yeah they're on their broomsticks flying... and they're vying for the Quaffle" he replied, nodding to himself at the end.

"Anthony, the Slytherin team has committed a foul, the game is paused," I commented, and Terry turned to look triumphantly at Anthony, who looked away in embarrassment.

I was going to say something else, but I tensed up when I felt a slight chill run through my body, feeling despicable magic surge through my senses.

"Err... Sorry guys, but I just remembered that I have something to talk about with Professor Lupin" I said hurriedly to my friends, and without waiting for an answer from them I turned around and started walking through the students who were huddled around me, bumping into some of them in an attempt to get to the stand where the Headmaster was.

Using my agile body and speed, I passed all the students who were watching the match, sensing the dementors getting closer and closer.

Arriving at the teachers' stand I immediately walked over to the principal, ignoring the gaze of the other teachers.

"Headmaster!" I called to him, and he turned to me.

"Yes Ethan?" he asked with a slight smile, but then he saw my tense gaze, and immediately turned serious.

"The Dementors, they're coming," I said, and the Headmaster's eyes widened slightly before turning cold.

The other professors who listened to me looked at me strangely, with only Professor Flitwick and Professor Lupin earning a serious look.

"Are Dementors coming? Sorry kid, but I don't see any Dementors here" Professor Vector huffed, but I ignored her and kept looking at the Headmaster who was frowning at the sky.

The Headmaster raised his wand, pointing it to the sky, and without saying an incantation a spell was fired.

The spell came out as a ball of yellow light, which rose to the heavens, and when it reached the height of the clouds it exploded.

Those teachers who doubted me now looked up in shock, since as soon as the Headmaster's spell blew up, all the clouds around them were dissipated, allowing us to see what was beyond them, and what we could see was a group of dozens of dementors flying over the field.

When the spell was fired by the Headmaster most of the students had already turned to him, but as soon as the Dementors in the sky were revealed the Quidditch pitch fell into tense silence.

The players also stopped playing, feeling the strangeness in the air, and looking up their eyes widened.

Noticing that the Gryffindor and Slytherin players were still standing still, Madam Hooch blew a whistle to get their attention.

"Everyone! Get down immediately!" she screamed in urgency, and the players didn't have to listen twice before shooting down at high speed, taking great distances from the dark creatures in the sky.

But unexpectedly a single person stood still in the sky, not following the other players, and that person was Harry, who was closer to the Dementors than the others.

"Come on! Get back to the ground quickly!" Wood yelled to his team, looking back to see if the Dementors were following them, only to realize that Harry was still frozen in place

'What is he doing there?!' Wood exclaimed in his panicked mind.

He then stopped his broom and turned to Harry.

"Harry! Come quickly! The Dementors are here!" he yelled, but received no response from Harry.

He then looked down and noticed that the other players and Madam Hooch were already landing on the ground, and cursing he turned to Harry again.

And without much thought he shot up at high speed.

"Harry!" Wood yelled as he flew towards Harry, ignoring the shocked gasps that sounded from the stands when the students noticed he was flying towards Harry, and by extension, the Dementors, "Look this way Harry! We have to get down!"

Harry, who was still frozen on his broom, couldn't hear anything that was being said, as his gaze was unfocused and his mind was receiving flashes of memories, with many voices ringing in his head.

He heard the same voices that had invaded his mind when the Dementors had attacked the Hogwarts Express, but now there were other things being said, and new voices speaking.

'Run Lily! Go with Harry... I'll hold him!' he heard a man's voice scream in panic.

'You should never have existed' this same voice said.

'Not Harry, not Harry, please not Harry!' a woman pleaded, and you could hear the fear and despair in her voice.

'Why did we have to die for you to live?!' the female voice questioned with hatred.

'Stand aside, you silly girl…stand aside, now…' a new male voice said with disdain, its words dripping with cruelty and meanness, but it was a familiar voice to Harry.

'You freak!' his uncle Vernon's voice sounded, and a flash of memory of his uncle throwing him against the wall in anger came to his mind.

'Not Harry, please no, take me, kill me instead...' the woman said in a pleading voice in a tearful voice.

'You are not our son, you are a disappointment' she said with contempt and rancor.

'You killed me Harry, why did you have to kill me? It hurt so much to burn like that' Professor Quirrell's voice asked in despair, with obvious pain in his tone.

'Not Harry! Please... have mercy... have mercy...' the woman continued begging.

''''You are a murderer''' Quirrell, the woman and the man said, with hatred, anger, rancor and contempt.

'AVADA KEDAVRA!'

And with this last sentence, a green flash flashed through Harry's mind, and he, who was looking catatonic up at the sky, felt his world darken, and he would start falling off his broom if Wood hadn't been by his side to catch him.

And all of this happened in a few seconds, and I, who was still in the teachers' stand, could see Harry fainting in Wood's arms, and I immediately turned to the Headmaster.

"Headmaster! Harry!" I exclaimed, but it wasn't necessary as he was already circling his wand over himself, and with a long swing he pointed his wand forward.

"{Expecto Patronum}!" he said firmly, a serious, angry look on his face.

And then a burst of silver light shot out from the tip of his wand, and from that light came a phoenix of pure silver, which quickly flew towards the dementors.

'Holy shit' I thought, stumbling back because of the force of positive emotions coming from the Headmaster's Corporeal Patronus, realizing that it was at least 10 times more powerful than Professor Lupin's Patronus.

I then watched as the phoenix of light chased away the dementors who was screaming in agony. With each beat of the Phoenix's wings, it released a pulsating wave of light, which brought a lot of positive emotions, coursing through the entire field.

"Remus, get Minerva, and Filius, go to the hospital wing and tell Poppy to free a bed!" the Headmaster ordered, snapping me out of my thoughts.

As Professor Lupin and Professor Flitwick left the Headmaster turned to me, and I noticed that the gleeful gleam in his eyes had faded, replaced by a serious look, but I could feel the weariness and anger coming from him.

"Thanks for the warning Ethan, I don't even want to imagine what would have happened if we'd acted a little later," he said with a sigh, and I nodded at him.

"I just wish I'd come a little sooner," I said, looking out over the field.

"You've done enough already" he said, following my gaze and looking at the lawn where students were gathering around Wood and Harry who had landed on the field, "Now I'm going to solve the problem with the Dementors, why don't you go join your friends? They must be worried about you"

"Yes, I think you're right," I said, seeing from up here Luna looking around looking for someone.

I then looked at the Headmaster, "I hope you can convince the minister to keep the dementors away from the castle" I said, and he sighed again.

"I hope so too," he said.

I then turned to go to the stand my friends were in, but before I could leave the Headmaster called out to me.

"Oh and Ethan, after all matters are settled I'd like to speak with you in my office," he said, and I looked at him confused before nodding.

I then left, leaving the Headmaster staring at my back lost in thought.

He then looked back at the rainy sky, seeing his Patronus still hovering over the field, with a reflective look.

End.
