Yeah! Here's the new chapter!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Is it just me or is it getting cold in here?" Anthony asked us, rubbing his arms for warmth.
"And is it just me, or are you also feeling that the mood has gotten a little weird?" Stephen asked, looking around confused, but I could feel an air of anguish coming from him, "I feel like I'm sadder all of a sudden"
"I'm glad I wasn't the only one who felt that," Michael muttered.
Realizing they were feeling the effects of the Dementors' presence, I pulled out my wand and stood up.
I was also feeling some sad emotions well up inside me, but I managed to force them to the back of my mind with my occlumency and my empath skills, but I couldn't suppress them all.
"Everyone sit down," I ordered, standing with my wand pointed at the compartment door.
"What's going on Ethan?" Terry asked me, shivering a little from the cold or his emotions, I don't know, but still he was reaching into the pocket where his wand was.
"It's the Dementors," I said, not taking my eyes off the door, "They're disgusting creatures that suck all the happiness and joy out of other people, leaving only sadness and other bad emotions. They're the guards of Azkaban, and they're probably here because of Black"
"If they're Azkaban guards, that means they work for the ministry, then they won't harm us, right?" Anthony asked me, in an attempt to comfort himself.
"The ministry thinks they control them. Dementors are creatures that feed off of others' positive emotions and sometimes their souls as well. Do you really think that kind of being is controlled by someone or that they care if we're not their targets?" I asked, and that made Anthony close his mouth and frown, now looking warily at the door.
Paying no more attention to them I began to expand my magical sonar, and I felt that the dementors that had boarded the train were walking the corridors, looking from compartment to compartment.
I could feel all the positive, joyful emotions of the children fading away, and the negative emotions coming in droves.
Today should be a day when the young children would be nervous but happy to see a new world where they could practice magic, and it should also be a day when the older students would be having fun with their friends, feeling happy to be back. to Hogwarts.
But now thanks to these disgusting and despicable creatures the only emotions everyone was feeling were sadness, fear, anger and anguish, and that I couldn't accept.
Now knowing what I was supposed to do, I raised my wand and swung it over me, pronouncing the incantation firmly.
"[Expecto Patronum]!" with that said, a thick and dense silvery mist shot out of my wand, expanding rapidly.
I didn't hold back and used all my positive emotions and memories, as well as a lot of magic, as I wanted to drive all the Dementors off the train, not for myself, but for the other students.
Feeling all their negative emotions was worse than feeling my own negative emotions.
There weren't any Dementors very close to my compartment, but my spell spread through the other carriages and started to create a barrier to stop the Dementors from continuing to roam the train.
But in addition to creating a barrier, my patronus was also pushing them away, and I was happy to hear the anguished and frightened screams of the dementors outside the train that were quickly moving away.
"Stay here" I said, looking at my friends who were looking at me in surprise, not feeling so cold or sad anymore.
I then, still keeping the spell active, got out of my compartment, and standing in the corridor I started looking for the carriages that had the Dementors, finding them in the front carriages.
'Damn, the carriage Harry and the others are in is up front' I thought with a scowl, and with a wave of my hand I locked the doors to all the compartments around me, and with that I made my way through the corridors.
Passing quickly through several compartments I sensed some Dementors ahead, and beyond them I sensed the magic of the Golden Trio, Nev and Ginny, as well as an unknown animalistic magic, which I assumed was Lupin.
With the Patronus still active I headed towards that compartment, only for a silver glow greater than mine to emerge from that direction, and then I saw a large wolf of silver light rushing past me.
"Amazing" I whispered to myself, feeling the big, strong positive emotions leaking out of that Corporeal Patronus.
Shaking my head then I kept moving forward, finally canceling my Patronus, and arriving in front of Harry's compartment I saw him lying unconscious on the floor.
"Sigh, apparently I'm too late," I said, drawing everyone's attention to me.
"Ethan?" Nev asked, and I simply nodding at him.
I then looked at the only adult in the compartment. The man was tall, with brown hair streaked with gray, he looked tired and wrinkled, but he still looked young in his own way. He wore patched and shabby clothes, but with him standing there looking fierce and protective he gave the impression that he was someone powerful.
"So you're the one who cast that Patronus," I said, and he looked at me a little surprised.
"Yes" he replied, eyeing me carefully, 'Why am I so tense and nervous?' he wondered.
"I suggest you call your Patronus back and have him circle the train, I managed to drive out the remaining Dementors and drive the others away from the train, but they can come back," I said, and then looked back at Harry, "When Harry wakes up, give him some chocolate, it will help to counter the lingering effects of the Dementors' presence."
"And how do you know that?" Hermione questioned me and I rolled my eyes.
"Obviously reading," I said.
"You said you drove the other Dementors away" Lupin said, catching my attention, "So does that mean that Patronus that came from the back carriages was yours?" he asked.
And to answer your question I just waved my wand and said the incantation, causing a silvery mist to fill the compartment, and I could feel the others feel more at ease with the presence of my Patronus.
"Impressive," Lupin said, looking at me in surprise. Then a smile came over his face, "I think I'll enjoy teaching you"
When he said that I smiled at him.
"So my thinking was right, you are our new DADA Professor," I said, and he nodded.
"But well, it was nice to meet you, but I need to get back to my friends, they must be worried" I said, and at that moment Harry woke up, looking around with confusion on his face, noticing that he was lying on the floor.
"I think I'll let you explain what happened to Sleeping Beauty over there," I said, pointing at Harry ignoring Lupin's amused look, and I then turned and walked away from the sharing.
Walking through the corridors and looking through the now open doors of the compartments I saw many students still feeling the effects of the Dementors, and some were worse than others.
Dementors are the worst kind of creature there is, and if I could I would wipe them all off the planet, but I also couldn't deny that they were useful in guarding Azkaban's prisoners.
But putting my contempt and hatred for the Dementors aside, I continued to walk back to my compartment where my friends were.
But before I went back to my compartment I went to the carriage where I felt the trolley lady, and when I got there I bought a lot of chocolates, and with a lot of chocolates in my pockets I went back to my compartment.
"Are you okay?" I asked the boys, who were sitting in their seats with a pale faces.
"Ask me that tomorrow" Terry replied.
"Well if you're that cheeky then that means you're fine" I chuckled, handing them some candy bars.
"Chocolates? What for?" Stephen asked me.
"Eat it, chocolate helps to overcome the effects that dementors leave on us" I said, and without more words the boys took it and started eating the candy, believing my words, "I'm also going to give some chocolates to our friends and the first years" I continued, turning to leave, but then I turned to the boys again, "Do any of you know which compartment the girls are in?" I asked.
"They're about 7 compartments to our left" Stephen replied.
"But I think Luna is sitting with Weasley's sister in another compartment," Michael said.
"I don't think so, I passed some compartments on my way to ours and I saw Ginny sitting with some other students from her year, and I saw Luna sitting in a compartment alone" Terry said, and he then frowned, "I invited Luna to sit with us or the girls, but she said she wanted to read alone in a quiet place"
I wasn't listening to Terry anymore, because as soon as he said that Luna was in a compartment alone my body froze.
"Damn it" I swore, and without further ado I turned around and started walking quickly, looking for Luna's magic.
After searching for a while I found the compartment Luna was in, and I could feel emotions of sadness coming from inside, and without a second thought I opened the compartiment door.
As I opened the door I saw Luna sitting on the window seat, hugging one of the Quibbler magazines to her chest, and I could see dry tear marks on her cheeks.
"Luna?" I called out to her, but she just kept staring straight ahead with a blank stare, "Luna? Are you okay?" I said, still no answer.
Seeing that Luna was still in a somewhat catatonic state, I entered the compartment and closed the door, sitting next to her.
"Hey look at me Luna" I said softly, touching her arm.
As soon as I touched her, Luna turned to me, and seeing her lost, anguished look I immediately pulled her into my arms, laying her head on my chest.
"It's okay Luna, I'm here" I whispered quietly to her.
Luna then snuggled into me, shivering a little with a sad look on her face, but I could feel her emotions of sadness waning.
'Fuck the dementors, I'll find a way to destroy these disgusting creatures' I thought with hate.
End.
