-Nights' House – My Room-

"Hmm, which of these two should I use?" I wondered, looking at the two vials of potion in my hands.

One of the potions was a Polyjuice potion and the other was an Ageing Potion.

I was unsure which one to use to complete a small side project of mine.

I already had the Hogwarts Vanishing Cabinet in my suitcase, and now I intended to grab the other cabinet of the pair that was in Knockturn Alley, or more specifically, in the Borgin and Burkes antique shop, which was nothing more than a dark shop of dark magic items.

I obviously and for various reasons can't enter Knockturn Alley with my current appearance and age, and so I was unsure which potion to use.

The Ageing Potion would make me look older, and it was easier to use than Polyjuice, plus I wouldn't have to worry about the potion's timing, as its effect lasted longer than the Polyjuice Potion.

And unfortunately to use Polyjuice I would need a lock or strand of hair from some random adult male, and while getting that is relatively easy for me, it would still require a unnecessary work to find the right target.

But between the two options, Polyjuice would allow me more anonymity, as the Ageing Potion wouldn't change my appearance or identity much, it would just make me older, depending on the potency of the potion and the amount I would drink.

"Well, between not being totally anonymous and having to drink a potion that tastes like stinky feet and rotten eggs, I choose the less disgusting option," I said to myself, a disgusted look on my face as I looked at the vial with the Polyjuice.

Deciding which potion to use, I took the vial of the Ageing Potion and tucked it into my pocket, tucking the Polyjuice into my suitcase.

Grabbing everything I needed I walked out of my room and down the stairs, finding my dad sitting in his armchair watching the afternoon news on television and my mom sitting on the floor painting a drawing with Cele.

"Are you going somewhere dear?" my mom who saw me coming to the living room asked.

"Yes, I have to talk to the goblins about my investment in Firebolt brooms," I said, which was partially true.

"Do you want us to accompany you?" she asked, but I shook my head.

"No need, I won't be long," I said with a smile at her, but my dad turned to look at me worriedly.

"Are you sure?" he asked, and I looked at him confused, "I would be more relaxed if one of us accompanied him" he said.

"Why are you so worried?" I asked, but then I looked at the television and saw what my father was worried about.

In the news report the presenter was talking about a dangerous criminal and murderer who escaped from prison, and obviously Sirius Black was the murderer.

"Oh" I said with a frown.

"They've been talking about this criminal for over a week now, and I've read the Daily Prophet and I know he's a dangerous wizard," my father said, and now my mother was also looking worriedly at the news, "I know that you're smart and strong and careful, but he was You-Know-Who's right-hand man"

"Dad, I'm heading to Diagon Alley, the chances of Sirius Black being there are slim, and I'm going there using the Knight Bus, so it's not too dangerous," I said, "And besides, don't mean you are weak, but what difference would it make if you were with me? If he killed 13 muggles with one spell, what's to stop him from doing it again?"

When I finished talking, I saw my parents reflecting on what I said, and when they realized that what I said made sense my mother looked at me with a sad sigh and my father lowered his head scowling.

"And me going alone is better, since if I find Black I can Apparate here" I said with a shrug, since my parents already knew I could Apparate for a long time, "And that would only happen if for some reason fate itself wanted to screw me, causing me to meet Black, which is almost impossible since he's probably on the run from the ministry."

"Sigh…yes, we know, but we're your parents, and it's our job to care about you," my mom said, looking at me with an affectionate smile at the end of the sentence.

"I know, and that's why I'm going to be as careful as I can when I go to Diagon Alley," I said, walking over to my mother and hugging her, who returned my hug.

"Well… I think what you said makes sense, and I can't find any reason not to let you go there," my dad said. He then looked at me with a small smile, "Just promise me that if you happen to run into Black, you won't try to prank him," he said jokingly, to lighten the mood.

"Oh please" I huffed, "If I found Black I would call him to help me play a prank on the minister" I said scornfully, which wasn't impossible as Sirius was such a prankster.

'Actually, that's not a bad idea' I thought, and as if she knew I was thinking something stupid my mother stared at me.

"Hah! That would be a sight to see" my dad said while laughing.

"Uhum," my mom agreed, looking at me with narrowed eyes.

"Yeah..." I said slowly, trying and failing to pretend that my mom's look wasn't making me nervous, "Well I guess I'll go then. I don't want to get there too late."

"Take care son" my dad said, and I nodded at him.

"Don't get into any trouble, and be careful, okay?" my mother said. She then turned to Cele, "Aren't you going to say anything to your brother, Cele?" she asked.

"Uhm," Cele said, not even looking at me as she painted her drawing, pursing her lips in concentration, and I who saw that put a hand on my chest painfully.

'Urgh! Living doesn't make sense anymore' I thought, realizing that my adorable little sister was ignoring me.

"Cele, big brother is going to Diagon Alley" I said but she still ignored me, "Do you want me to buy you something? I can bring you lots of candy" I asked, and with that Cele finally looked at me .

"Candy?" she asked, and then her eyes focused on me, " Is big brother going somewhere?" she cocked her head to the side cutely, with a confused expression.

'''She didn't even realize he/I was here!''' my parents and I thought.

"Err...Yes, Cele. I'm going to Gringotts, and I asked if you'd like me to buy you some candy in the alley," I said, a tight smile on my face.

"Oh! I want ice cream!" she said excitedly.

"So ice cream you'll have, Oh great princess Cele" I said bowing dramatically, making Cele laugh. She then stood up and bowed elegantly to me, holding the skirt of her dress with her fingertips.

"Thank you, Oh big brother" she said like a noble.

'''Cute!''' was what everyone thought, and I couldn't help but feel proud of myself for teaching her that.

"So your servant is leaving," I said, smiling at her.

Saying a few last words to my parents I then left the house, heading to a deserted street in front of a playground to call the Knight Bus.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

-Diagon Alley-

Just as I had told my parents, I took the Knight Bus and quickly arrived at the Leaky Cauldron.

After entering Diagon Alley I immediately went to Gringotts, where I talked to Sharpfang, my account manager, about my investments.

Sharpfang informed me that luckily these investments were generating more profits than they had last year, and most of that profit came from the Ellerby and Spudmore company, which was the company that made the Firebolts, and a few Muggle companies.

Sharpfang, in an unexpected show of respect for me, praised my business and investment skills, saying he didn't have much faith that Firebolt would generate any profit.

But in addition to the large profits generated by these investments, another good thing happened.

Against all my expectations, and as a nice surprise I had received a brand new Firebolt from Randolph Spudmore himself, the creator of the Firebolt, with the registration number 7.

Randolph had attached a note to the broom, saying that this gift was a gesture of gratitude to thank me for helping him financially with his idea and dream of creating Firebolt.

I knew I was one of the first investors to fund the project, as I invested in them the moment it was announced in the paper that they were looking for investors, but I didn't know he would be so grateful for it.

I knew that his father, Able Spudmore, who is one of the owners of the company that is making the broom, also invested in his son's idea, but apparently my investment must have been something very important to him, since he gave such an amazing gift to me.

'And me thinking I would have to buy a Firebolt just like everyone else' I thought, shaking my head wryly.

'Well, I guess that means Ravenclaw will win the Quidditch Cup again... I'm sorry Wood, but apparently you'll have to graduate knowing you never won the cup for the Gryffindor' I shrugged, feeling a little sorry for the boy.

And somewhere in England a boy who was reading a Quidditch magazine felt an overwhelming urge to cry in the bath.

But changing the subject, after leaving Gringotts I went down an empty alley away from curious and prying eyes, where I took the Ageing Potion out of my pocket and drank it, and now here I am, walking to the entrance to Knockturn Alley with an aged face and body, looking like a man in his 30s, looking at everyone with cold and dangerous eyes.

'In a place like this I'd better act like I'm the most dangerous thing in the alley, so no one will want to get in trouble with me' I thought, seeing people walking away from me in fear or looking at me warily.

I even saw a child staring at me, but I just had to whisper a simple "Boo" for him to run to his mother with tears in his eyes.

'Now I know why Professor Snape acts like a sadistic emo... It's fun' I thought, a satisfied look on my face.

End.

(End AN: In my city it is very hot and I usually sleep with the window open.

One of the best things about sleeping with the window open is being able to see the sky.

The dark sky, the stars shining, and the moon which is very beautiful make me very happy and relaxed.)
