Yeah! Here's the new chapter!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Is this the entrance to the French wizarding community?" my mother asked, looking out over the lit vines and the crystal clear water fountain in front of us.
"This is one of the entrances, and here we call it portals" Mrs. Flamel replied, "There are many mirrored portals across France, but only some are main portals, others are minor portals."
"Yes, and the total number of main portals spread across France is 11, a number much loved by french wizards" Mr. Flamel continued for her.
"Why 11?" I asked.
"Well, 11 here is almost the same as other magic, luck and fate numbers elsewhere in the world, like 7 in Great Britain, 9 in Japan, 4 in Russia, 5 in Korea, 3 in America and 592 in Ireland" he replied.
"592? Why such a specific number?"
"I don't know" Mr. Flamel shrugged.
"You've probably been to Ireland already, right?" I asked and he nodded, "Well then why didn't you ever ask anyone there about that number?"
"Oh Ethan my boy, there are two things you should never ask an Irishman. The first is the meaning of the number 592, and the second is what happened in the election for minister in 1784" Mr. Flamel said, putting his hand on my shoulder and speaking wisely.
'Damn... Now I really want to know what happened' I thought.
"But back to the subject..." Mrs. Flamel began to say, "These 11 main portals are spread out in the main and most important cities of France, and this portal is usually in the center of the city, surrounded by 8 minor portals, and this whole set we call Orchidée Lumineuse."
""Why the name?" my mom and I asked, even though I already had an idea why.
"Well, if we put the portals on a map and look from above, the set will look like a flower, and our entrance is a little flashy, so putting that together..." Mr. Flamel replied, "The portal in front of us is the main portal of Paris, and it leads to the center of our community."
He then turned to us, handing my parents two coins.
"To see the portal, a muggle would only need to have had some time of exposure to magic, and usually parents of wizard children can achieve this easily, however, to pass through the portal you will need to be recognized, and so these coins" Mr. Flamel said, and he then turned to Cele, "I'd even give you a coin, but I know you're a big witch and you can go through the portal, so I'll give you this" he said, taking from the inside pocket of his overcoat a small crystal ball that had a rainbow inside, much to Cele's happiness.
"Well now that we're all ready, let's go" Mrs. Flamel said, holding out his hands and showing my parents how the portal worked.
The portal's vines began to stir and curled around Mrs. Flamel, but that didn't bother her. She then began to walk forward, and the vines began to cover her along with the water, and in the end she disappeared among them.
After she passed through the portal, my parents looked at each other, and then holding tightly to their coins they walked through the portal, with Cele in my father's arms.
After my parents walked through the portal, only Mr. Flamel and I stood in front of the fountain, with him looking at me with an analytical gaze.
"Sigh... I know you want to ask me something, Mr. Flamel," I said, turning to him.
"Hehe, I think I was too obvious" he said, scratching the back of his head, "And please call me Nick"
"Okay" I said with a calm smile on my face, "And what would you like to ask me Nick?"
"Well, actually it's something I've been wanting to know since when you sent that letter to us," he said. Nick then looked at me with a curious look on his face, "Why did you want to return the stone to us? Why didn't you keep it with you?" he asked.
"Why should I keep YOUR stone with me?" I asked back, "The Philosopher's Stone has an owner, and besides, it's not that important to me" I shrugged.
"Do you know about the things it can do?" Nick asked me.
"Gold and Immortality? None of that interests me" I said, "I can get gold easily, and Immortality doesn't appeal to me. What's the point of living for a long time with a lot of money if with a normal life I can already enjoy a lot of the life and world I'm living in now?"
As soon as I finished speaking, Nick started to look at me with a calculating look, but then he broke into a sincere, happy smile.
"I knew you were a good boy as soon as I read your letter" he said, "And that's a very mature and intelligent thought, Ethan"
"Well I'm from Ravenclaw" I shrugged with a smile on my face.
'Maybe because I had a past life, it made me appreciate the few moments I can live' I thought.
"Well I think we better get going then, the others must be waiting for us" Nick said, walking to the portal and putting his hand on the vines.
"Yeah, maybe my mom is already thinking about what law violation I'm committing and what defenses she's going to have to use in court to get me released," I said, chuckling dryly.
"Hahaha yeah, probably Penny is doing the same" Nick said, and we both knew the other was serious.
So without wasting any more time, Nick and I quickly made our way through the portal, and upon reaching the other side we were met with two critical and curious glances.
"I didn't commit any crimes this time," Nick said to his wife.
"It wasn't me" I said to my mom, and with that my parents and the Flamels looked at me with an eyebrow, "What? That's the best excuse possible" I shrugged.
At my jokes, my parents just rolled their eyes in a good-natured way.
Seeing that my joke had the effect of lightening the mood, I took the opportunity to look around.
If I was expecting something extravagant from a French wizarding community, I wasn't disappointed.
We were in a large hall in a crystal dome, and when I say big, I mean really big. Probably even if you stack 5 dragons on top of each other you still won't be able to reach the ceiling.
We couldn't see anything outside the dome, and the light that illuminated inside came from tiny dots of lights and crystal chandeliers that floated above our heads.
On the ceiling, in the center of the dome, was a large crystal chandelier with ornaments of gold and other precious stones.
The floor below us was made of white marble, with a large flower design in the center and a water fountain just like the main portal we entered, only much larger.
There were also large marble doors that led in different directions, and above these doors were plaques with the name of the place these doors led to.
That alone would make this place beautiful and wonderful, but the people and creatures that walked around the hall made the place look more magical.
Looking around the dome I could see some white wooden tables with some French ministry attendants and officials, judging by their attire.
"Wow!"
"It's beautiful here" my mother said in wonder.
"Impressive, this is the most spectacular place I've ever seen," my dad said, just as amazed as my mom.
"Here's... Magic," I muttered, feeling the magic in the hall.
"Yeah, I'm glad to see you think that" Nick said with a proud, satisfied smile on his face. He then turned to us, "But even so, let me be the first to tell you this... Welcome to our wizarding community, the Cathédrale des Séraphins!" he said theatrically.
End.

(End AN: The last AN was a little sad and depressing, so I'll try to make this one a little more lively and fun.
I was talking to my friends a few days ago, and we came across a doubt.
What is the best animated movie?
We each had an opinion, and we couldn't reach a consensus.
What is your top 7 animated movies?)
