Ohayo! Here's the new chapter!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

With so many projects and plans pending, I knew I would have to use all my vacation time to complete or review them, so I made a small schedule so I wouldn't get lost.

I decided that the most important thing I would do would be to advance in my studies, taking advantage of the fact that I now had a lot of spell books that I bought in Diagon Alley and that I got from the Room of Requirement.

I decided that my studies would be the main thing to do after I saw the difference in skills between myself and Quirrellmort, which not surprisingly, showed him above me in skills by miles. And if I really wanted to make a difference in this coming war, I would need to have enough power and spells not to be helpless in a fight against Vold-no-Nose and his Dick Eaters.

But besides that, I also decided that I would study powerful spells because if I want to kill the basilisk of the secret chamber, I will need spells strong enough to harm this thousand year old beast that is also known for having an ultra resistant magic skin, probably tougher than the dragons' skin.

I also aim to master the 3 Unforgivable Curses as they are very powerful and useful spells depending on the situation. I don't know if they do the caster any harm as they are some of the darkest spells in the Dark Arts, but I'll find that out when I try to use them, and if they're as bad as some fanfics say, then I'll stop my project of trying to learn them.

In addition to my studies, I also intend to improve my control over my Beast Power in its entirety, as I feel like I'm not using it right.

But from my Beast Power, the skill I most intend to improve is my instinct, or at least my reaction to it, as it is the skill that has helped me the most so far.

And with all my schedule ready, I'm going to start my training from my private summer camp, "Train, suffer, and keep training."

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

In these almost two months of vacation I was able to move forward with some basic plans, such as publishing the sequels to my books.

I also spent some time with my family, and we even took a trip to the United States, my homeland in my first life.

Unfortunately I couldn't look at the wizarding community there, but I could see that the amount of wizards walking among the Muggles is much higher than in the UK.

It seems that here the division between the wizarding world and the muggle world is much more noticeable, and this is a sad thing to see, as both worlds have wonderful things to look at.

But back to the subject, as time went on, it was finally getting close to the time when the Hogwarts letters would arrive, which meant that the day was also approaching when I would try to get Riddle's diary.

-Wednesday - Morning-

My letter from Hogwarts finally arrived with my second year's list of materials, along with a parchment with my first year grades.

"Congratulations big boy! You really were the better student of your year!" my father said cheerfully and proudly, looking at the parchment with my grades, with my mother at his side looking over his shoulder at the grades.

"Why the surprise? I already told you that I was the first of my year" I asked, looking at them strangely.

"Well... It's not like we don't trust your word, but it's just that... we'd rather have more concrete proof, you know?" my dad replied, which only earned him a blank stare from me.

"Don't worry, Ethan dear, we just wanted something physical so we could frame," my mom said, looking alternately between me and my grades that were now in her hands beaming with pride.

"Do you want to frame my grades?" I asked, earning two nods, "And how would you explain to visitors the fact that your son got an O+, which is an odd grade in itself, in Charms and Transfiguration, which are subjects taught in... Well ...in no NORMAL school?!" I asked while looking at my parents with a look that said 'Really?'

"Well... we didn't really think about that," my dad said, earning an exasperated look from me.

"We can frame it in our room, so only we could see it" my mother proposed.

"That's a good idea," my dad agreed.

"But my grades shouldn't stay with me, because I'm the one who..." I started to say, only for my voice to start to fade when I saw my mother looking at me with a look that said 'Are you really trying to reason with me?' while my father looked at me with a look that said 'Are you really trying to reason with your mother?'

"Well... I guess you guys can keep my grades, hehe" I said, laughing nervously.

"Oh thanks," my mom said with a happy smile, turning around and heading to the kitchen. And meanwhile my dad patted me on the shoulder as he looked at me with an understanding look.

Seeing how easily I was defeated by my mother, I decided it would be best to read my materials list.

'Well, there's nothing different here, other than the fact that now we can take our own brooms to school' I thought, but then I frowned upon seeing the ordered DADA books, 'I'm really going to have to spend my money on those stupid Lockhart books?' I questioned myself in disgust.

'Hmm, Lockhart will be at school for quite a while, and I doubt a narcissistic man like him doesn't have a few galleons with him all the time, so maybe I can self-refund myself with his coins' I thought, with this plan becoming more and more attractive as time goes on

'Then that's it! I'll steal... I mean, I'll refund myself with Lockhart's money' With this new side project in mind, I let a rather evil smile creep across my face, and my dad who was seeing this smile of mine decided to just ignore me while prayed for the good of the poor soul who was about to suffer a calamity named Ethan.

"See, what did you think?" just then my father and I heard my mother's voice, who came back into the living room.

She was carrying with her a black wooden board with little carvings of flowers and green and red leaves, and it was written in blue letters 'Ethan's Grades', and obviously on that board was the parchment with my grades.

"Beautiful, isn't it? Cele and I did it," my mom said with a smile, with Cele peeking out from behind her legs as she looked at us with her own proud smile on her face.

"How long have you had this board ready?" I asked, looking at my mom with a blank face, something my dad was also doing.

"Since the New Year"

"..."

"Oh…" I said, deciding it would be best to ignore that fact for the sake of my sanity.

"I helped!" Cele exclaimed proudly, opening her arms as she awaited our praise.

'Well, at least Cele's cuteness remains the same' I thought, also ignoring the fact that my dad and I were grinning stupidly at Cele.

End.

(End AN: I'm happy to know that autumn is happily coming, at least here in my country.

I love the cool, refreshing weather of autumn, which is better than the freezing cold of winter.

When does the next season start in your countries? And what is the season?)
