Sup guys! Here's the new chapter!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
My drive home was smooth, and when I got home, my parents, Cele and I had a family dinner, with me telling my parents about things that happened at school, and also about the exams, which kept them entertained.
I also showed them some of the things I learned in my first month using wandless magic, and they were impressed, both by the magic itself, and by the fact that I was doing all this wandless.
My parents had some basic knowledge of magic and the wizarding world as they also read the books I bought in Diagon Alley, so it wasn't a surprise that they thought it was amazing for me to do wandless magic since they knew how difficult this feat was.
After dinner I went to my room, where I started to sort my mind, thinking about future and current events.
I also picked up some newspaper clippings to read, as they were currently my source of information about what was going on in the wizarding world.
A fact that I didn't really care about, but that I found very interesting, was that between the year 91 and 92, Arcturus Black III, Cygnus Black III and Cassiopeia Black died due to old age. Well, at least that's what the papers said.
Arcturus had died early in the year 91, in March, Cygnus and Cassiopeia died in 92, with Cygnus in February and Cassiopeia in June.
And besides them, Lucretia Prewett formerly Black and Armando Dippet also passed away around the middle of the year 92.
With these deaths, the Black bloodline now resides solely in Sirius, as the others are people with Black blood, but not with the name.
The people with the most Black blood still alive, not counting Sirius, are the Black sisters. Narcissa Malfoy, Bellatrix Lestrange and Andromeda Tonks.
I also know that between the end 1990 and early 1991, the mother of one of the franchise's best characters died because of an experiment gone wrong.
Pandora Lovegood, Luna Lovegood's mother, ended up blowing herself up by accident while doing some experiments, and worst of all, it happened in front of young Luna.
I unfortunately could not have prevented this event, and because of that an innocent and cheerful young girl will forever have in her memories the image of her dead mother.
But I promised myself that when she arrives at Hogwarts and goes to Ravenclaw, I would do everything in my power to prevent her from the bullying she suffered in canon for being simply different.
And I'm still impressed that the house that should accept the different and the creative would treat the person who best represents house that way.
Apparently ignorance must also be a feature of Ravenclaw, as well as of all other houses at Hogwarts.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
My plans for the second year were quite simple, but very difficult.
Year two, as you probably all know, would happen the opening of the Chamber of Secrets, the place created by Salazar Slytherin to accommodate his deadly creature, the basilisk.
The opening of the chamber would cause a lot of trouble as the basilisk would start petrifying people, causing panic and chaos in the school.
Only now that I'm here and I intend to prevent the chamber from being opened, since if my existence causes any butterfly effect, it's quite possible that the basilisk will end up killing someone instead of petrifying them, and i can't let that happen.
Preventing the chamber from opening is easy, as I only have to get Riddle's diary that will be in Ginny Weasley's hands, but that will also pose a very big problem for me.
Preventing the chamber from opening is a good thing, but without the chamber being opened the basilisk will continue to live below the castle as it has for the last thousand years.
With the basilisk living in the castle, the danger of Voldemort deciding to use it when he tries to attack the castle is too great, so the basilisk has to be taken out of the castle, which is next to impossible, or else it has to be killed.
Also, the basilisk's venom is one of three ways to destroy Horcruxes, so one way or another the basilisk is going to have to be killed, as I doubt this giant, deadly snake would give some of its venom or one of his fangs to someone so easily.
Another thing I have to do this year is get rid of Lockhart, either by having him erase his own memory again, or by showing everyone what a terrible fraud he really is.
And well, those are the three most important things I have to do in the next year. Stop the chamber from opening, kill the basilisk, and get rid of Lockhart. Anything else can be considered a minor issue, so I don't need to focus too much on them.
Now the last remaining matter is what to do with the Philosopher's Stone, but as I'm getting very sleepy I'll leave that to think about it tomorrow.
And with that I was able to rest after a very tiring day.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-Next morning-
"Well that's amazing," I muttered, looking at a small pile of gold beside me.
After waking up and doing my morning workout, I decided to test the Philosopher's Stone, and as I had no idea how to make the Elixir of Life I decided to try to use its second function, which is transform any metal into pure gold.
I then took various metal items that I had in my house, and after a few tries I figured out how to "activate" the stone, and so I turned all that metal into gold.
And of course I used my Magic Vision to see all the details in the stone and the magic as the transformation took place.
The transformation of metal into gold is basically a complex transfiguration that does not use the wizard's magic, but the stone's magic, which by the way is much denser and more powerful than the magic of anyone I've ever seen, Dumbledore included.
But that wasn't the most interesting thing about the stone's magic, in fact the thing that caught my attention the most was the fact that the magic the stone used came from the environment.
The stone sucked in the ambient magic and filtered it into it, and for a number of reasons I don't know the magic that came out of the stone was totally different from the one that went in, and even a little different from the magic of the stone itself, as if it were a fusion of the two magics, but at the same time not.
And the more I thought about it, the more I realized that this magic exchange felt like the Thestrals cleaning ambient magic at its core to make it pure and neutral.
'Is there any connection? Or maybe Flamel was inspired by the Thestrals?' I thought with my hand on my chin.
"Well, I guess now that I've studied the known things of the stone, I can then begin to study the mysteries of the stone, starting with how it was made," I muttered to myself.
"Oh" Just as I was about to begin my study of the stone, I heard a voice behind me, and turning around I saw my mother with her hand over her mouth looking alternately between me, the gold items, and the Philosopher's Stone.
"All that gold stuff… This weird stone… Are you getting involved in illegal stuff? Are you going to need me to act like your lawyer?" she asked me, looking worriedly at me.
And meanwhile I was looking at my mother with my right eye twitching.
'What does she think I've been doing?'
"Honey, have you seen my... Oh" and just when I thought it couldn't get any worse my dad showed up.
"Ethan son... It might not be of much help but I know some rehab clinics, if you want I can talk to a doctor I know and he can..."
'What is my family thinking about me?!'
End.

(End AN: Well my friends, tomorrow will be the day of my doctor's appointment, which also happens to be the last appointment I'll have, ending a total of 20 years of appointments.
Tomorrow is going to be a very busy day for me, so I hope everything goes well.
I hope you enjoyed the chapters, remembering that this chapter ends the first book and Ethan's first year at Hogwarts.
Thank you all for reading my story!)
