Yeah! Here's the new chapter!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

[POV – Ethan]

After following through ATLAS the Potter's confrontation against Voldemort, where luckily Potter emerged victorious and alive, thanks to the appearance of the Headmaster, I turned off the map and lay down on my bed.

There may have been some differences, but in the end everything turned out as I had hoped, with Voldemort escaping and probably finding out that Potter was untouchable.

Now with that I could relax, as this was the last major event of this school year. Now I just need to get ready for next year, which probably won't be as difficult as this one, as I don't plan on letting the older Malfoy give Riddle's diary and Horcrux to Ginny.

Without the diary, there will be no opening of the Chamber of Secrets, and without the opening of the chamber, there will be no basilisk on the loose.

'Now I just need to think about what to do with the damn deadly giant snake that lives below the castle' I thought.

I didn't know if my Beast Talk would have any effect on the basilisk and if I could tame it, so I had to think of alternative plans to get rid of it, as I didn't want a ready-made weapon for Voldemort to use living inside the castle.

'That's something for me to plan for later' I thought, closing my eyes and letting my body sink into Morpheus' realm.

-Following day-

The next day, after asking around, I found out that, just like in canon, Potter was also in the hospital wing in a coma, and I knew he wouldn't wake up for three days.

His comatose state obviously worried his friends a lot, and I didn't even need to use my empathy to realize that, as their worried appearance alone said a lot.

And on top of that, rumor has already spread around the school that Potter saved a precious item from being stolen by fighting an evil wizard.

Of course, there were those people who augmented the true story, some for fun, and others because they actually thought what they were saying was true, like a third-year Hufflepuff boy who said that Potter ran a broom race against a dragon to get said item.

I can't even imagine what this boy will think when the first task of the Tri-Wizard Tournament happens.

My friends were also curious to know what really happened to Potter, and after some conversation, we ended up finding out from Sue that the Potter Fan Club was mounting an investigation to find out the answers to this mystery.

We found this event to be a lot of fun, but it was about to get even weirder and funnier.

As we were walking through the halls of the castle, we saw a Hufflepuff girl followed by a group of friends, all wearing berets and magnifying glasses walking around the castle, and the girl leading them was smoking a fake pipe, which was blowing colored soap bubbles.

And I, seeing this, started to laugh, along with Terry and some Muggleborn and half-blood students, much to Anthony's confusion and the other students who didn't know the muggle world, or any muggle mystery work.

And they still ask me why I think people are strange and crazy.

-June 9-

Gryffindor versus Ravenclaw, the most anticipated game of this year.

The teams from both houses trained hard for this day, and it finally arrived. The day of the last game of the 91/92 season. The decisive match.

I remember that match ended with Gryffindor's defeat in canon, and if I'm not mistaken it was also the worst defeat she's suffered in 200 or 300 years.

Well, with me here this is going to be their worst defeat in 500 years, at the very least.

Their defeat was mainly due to the fact that they didn't have a Seeker, as Potter was in a coma in the Hospital Wing, and because they didn't have a backup Seeker they only had the option to play and hope to score a lot of points before the Ravenclaw Seeker get the Snitch.

As Potter, just like in canon, is also in the Hospital Wing in a coma, the outcome of the match probably won't be much different, so it's a sure win for Ravenclaw, so much so that the entire school had already unanimously accepted that Ravenclaw would win the Inter-House Cup, and that is an indisputable fact.

And besides the Inter-House cup, Ravenclaw is also by far the most likely house to win the House Cup, with many points ahead of the other houses, so even before the final result, all Ravenclaws were already celebrating.

And it was with this celebration that we set off for our last Quidditch match of this school year.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

-June 10-

Just as predicted, Ravenclaw beat Gryffindor by several points, making it the worst defeat they had suffered in SIX HUNDRED years, far longer than I had expected.

And thanks to that Ravenclaw had a big celebration in the common room, where unfortunately Hillton and I were bathed in pumpkin juice by the rest of the team, and they said it was to congratulate us and that we deserved it, as we were basically the reasons Ravenclaw won the cup

And while a party was taking place in the Ravenclaw common room, in the Gryffindor common room it looked like they were having a wake, as all the Gryffindors were incredibly saddened by the great defeat they had suffered.

But they still tried to cheer themselves up with the fact that at least it wasn't Slytherin that beat them, as that would be even more humiliating.

And with all these happenings going on at the castle, Potter was still in a coma, but I knew he would wake up tomorrow afternoon, which is also the day of the End of School Year Banquet.

-June 11th-

[POV - Dumbledore]

"Good afternoon Harry," I said, looking at the young boy who had just woken up.

Harry then looked at me, blinked once, before his gaze focused, causing him to immediately sit up straight on the bed.

"Sir! What happened?! The stone! Voldemort! And Professor Quirr..." Harry started, looking at me in panic, but as soon as he got to Quirrell he started to lower his tone, looking down obviously sad.

I didn't need to use Legilimency on him, as it was obvious what he was feeling and thinking.

"Sigh… Harry, look at me?" I said, sitting down in front of the boy, "You didn't kill Quirrell, he was dead a long time, on the contrary, you set him free"

"How did I free him? I saw his body being destroyed! I burned him!" Harry yelled at me with tears streaming down his face, a face that showed anguish and sadness.

Knowing that in situations like this the best thing to do was not let him repress his emotions, I reached out my arms and pulled him into a hug, letting him cry into my chest.

'What is it with our world to make a child suffer like this?' I thought sadly, looking at Harry with regret to see him squeezing his hands that held the sheets.

"Listen Harry, the one you saw to ash was not Quirrell, but the body of someone who gave in to the temptations of dark magic, a body that no longer had a soul and no owner" I started to say, seeing Harry stop crying as listened to me intently, "But even so, that body once belonged to someone, until it began to be used by a very evil and cruel wizard—"

"Voldemort" Harry muttered, and even in that situation, I was pleased to see that he didn't fear this name.

"Yes Harry, Voldemort," I repeated, and then continued, "And I'm sure that, no matter where he is, Quirrell is probably resting in peace now that his body is no longer being used. So I don't want you to think that you killed someone because you didn't. I want you to go on with your life knowing that you, with a good heart, decided to take a risk to protect the stone, even with all odds stacked against you, and that you did so by giving a necessary ending to a man's life story" here Harry stopped crying completely, pulling away from my embrace and looking at me with doubtful but hopeful eyes.

"Are you sure?" he asked me, wiping his eyes under his glasses with the sleeves of his shirt.

"Yes, I do," I replied with a gentle yet sincere smile on my face, and after that I saw that spark of hope and happiness returning to her eyes, bringing immense satisfaction to my old heart.

End.
