Ben was sitting down beside Allat, taking a much-needed break from the packed smithy.
The two were sitting in the backyard of the workshop, a place Ben would often use to process the beast blood he'd stored and see if they could become something valuable like the blood iron from the Blood Iron Wolf.
He'd been working tirelessly on forging Lues original sword design that joined together at the pommel using a twist and lock mechanism that binded the swords together to give the weapon similar functionality as a spear.
Part of the work was complete before with the swords already forged, but the piece that required the most attention was the twist and lock mechanism which took Ben countless hours to design and make with help from the slave smiths and Val.
Allat, who chose to guard Ben just like he used to guard Liz, was waiting around the smithy or in the backyard training so Ben wasn't too far away, had provided Ben with some idea of Lues fighting style from his point of view.
