They'd been playing a couple games for a while now with Ben racing off mid game at times to manage his work below.
He'd rushed the work on the knives without thinking of a design so for the mass majority of the knives.
Therefore, he used the game of chess to help think up some original idea for knives.
The plan was to bounce his ideas off his Master Val about his plans because it reminded him of his time with Bronz.
Once they made the special set crafted from transmutated wood and leather, they would sit down and play games non-stop when Ben needed a break or some advice.
