Chapter 74 - Chapter 71

Queen Cersei in Kingslanding has already received word about the ultimatum that Maximus had sent to the Lords of the North a few months ago and when she first heard this the first thing she thought of was that the Empire is interfering in Westeros matters, and she didn't like that one bit.

Her father already knew about it and had made some preparations in case they needed to fight with the Empire, but he was more focused on things in Westeros since first he wanted to deal with the Kingdoms of Westeros then he would be able to deal with the Empire since doing both would cost lots of money which they don't have at the moment.

But before they think about any other matters, the time for Tyrion Lannister's trial was near. Many had already thought him to be the one who killed the Queen and expected him to be executed soon after the trial was over.

Many were already talking like the outcome of the trial was already determined.

Back in the North at Castle Black the battle was already over, and now they were cleaning up the last bodies of the Dead Bolton Soldiers and burning them so that in case the night King does get past the wall he doesn't need a couple more thousand soldiers to make his army bigger.

Ramsey would have received the Blood Eagle treatment if he didn't get shot in the head with an arrow. But Maximus knew that there would be many more people who will get that treatment soon. One of the main people he had in mind was Walder Frey for murdering people at a wedding, which even if they back out of an agreement was too taboo.

After cleaning up the bodies, Maximus had gone back into the Castle and told the Lord Commander to open up the Gates and allow the Wildlings along with Maximus's newly acquired soldiers to pass the Gate.

The Lord Commander had agreed, hoping not to offend the person who just beat an army of 10k with just 900 men.

The Wildlings had started walking through the Gate and into the Castle as they saw all the Night's Watch members watching them as they walked through the Castle.

Jon felt relieved that they were allowed to live and get away from the other side of the wall, since he had seen what the army of the Dead can do and if they get their hands on almost 110k Wildlings then it would only get stronger and be able to just run over the wall with their numbers alone.

Maximus had seen some Wildlings carrying their babies, of which some looked to be sick from the cold or had not eaten anything in a while.

Maximus didn't offer them food, but he did offer to heal the babies, since he didn't want to just let them die before they even get a chance to grow up. And if he started offering food then more of the Wildlings would start asking for food, and he didn't have enough for that, but the fleet which was on the way would have lots of food with it.

In the Meantime, he had the Wildlings set up a camp near the shore to wait for the arrival of the Imperial Fleet.

Some of the Night's Watch members didn't like having the people who they considered the enemy to just walk pass them. They had been fighting them for a long time, and now they just watch as they allow them to walk right pass the Wall.

While some of them didn't voice their opinion of the matter directly to the Wildlings, in their minds, they were thinking of all the brother's that they lost to the Wildlings. They were wondering why their Lord Commander was sucking up to this Emperor who wasn't even from their land nor knew how much went through.

But nobody would do anything since The Royal Guards were watching their every move, and they saw just how powerful these people were. Lord Commander Mormont even though he is the Lord Commander, he knows very well the power of the Empire.

At first when he had heard the rumors of how strong the Empire was and how they had dragons, at first just like a lot of people he didn't believe it and just thought that the people were overexaggerating.

But after he saw the dragon for himself and seen how powerful the Royal Guards were, he became a firm believer in the power of the Empire and hoped not to offend them in any way, especially in these dire times.

After all the Wildlings had passed through the Wall it was a day march to the shore and once there they had set up a Massive camp which stretched along the shore.

Maximus allowed some Wildlings to hunt for food since they needed to eat something in this one week until the fleet gets here. While they already had some food from past the wall, it wasn't enough to feed this many people.

After the Wildlings got settled in, Maximus left the 8k soldiers along with 200 of his Royal Guards to stay with the Wildlings while he and the rest of his 1,300 Royal Guards fly to Winterfell with Bran and Rickon.

Bran and Rickon were riding on one of the Great eagles with one of the Royal Guards, and they were having the time of their life flying through the air. For children, flying in the air was probably one of the most exciting things to do if they ever got the chance.

And seeing as there are not any flying creatures in GOT besides Dragons, which are rare, it would be no surprise if this moment was the most exciting for the Stark boys.

After flying for a couple of minutes, Winterfell had come into view. But since it was ruined, there weren't many guards except for the remaining soldiers that Ramsey had left to defend the Castle who once they saw the dragon ran for their lives, abandoning the Castle.

Maximus landed Balerion in the courtyard of the Castle while his guards secured the Castle, making sure there were no more Bolton's or any other soldiers within the Castle.

Since Bran, the Lord of the North, was now in control of Winterfell, Maximus sent out the ravens informing all Houses of the North to come and pledge their allegiance to Bran as their Lord and to Maximus as their Emperor and anybody who refuses will be considered in rebellion against the Emperor.
