Ned Stark after coming to King's landing has found out some thing's about Robert such as he barely did any work as king and spends his time with women and drinking. He also leaves his duties to the small council, and the Kingdom is 9 Million in debt.
A/N: It's 9 million since Maximus has been making things economically worse for the Kingdom
Ned brought both his daughters with him, since Sansa is going to marry Joffrey and Arya so that she can be exposed to the world instead of being stuck at Winterfell her life.
One day, while Ned was reading some documents and signing them as the Hand of the King, somebody appeared in front of him kneeling. Since this person appeared out of nowhere, Ned was on guard while he asked "Who are you and what do you want"
"I but a shadow here to give you a message from my Lord" Said the figure
Ned was confused as to who the lord was that the figure was talking about, so he asked "Who is your lord"
"My Lord is a well known person in the world even here in Westeros he is known by many" Said the figure
Ned thought for a bit before he guessed "Is it the Emperor" Ned had guessed this since he had heard rumors of the Emperor having people who can move in the shadows, but he didn't believe it until now
"You are correct my Lord now please listen to the message since it is important that you do" Said the figure
Ned had lowered his guard just a little as the Figure began to talk
"Jon Arryn didn't die of an illness, instead he was poisoned because he found out something that he shouldn't have" Said the figure
Ned was in disbelief "Impossible if he was poisoned then they would have found out"
"it was some type of poison that wasn't traceable, unfortunately, but My Lord thinks you should look for whatever book he had read last since that might give you the answer" Said the figure as it disappeared
Ned wasn't looking at the figure as he had his head down thinking about what he just heard. Once he looked up to ask a question, the figure was gone, leaving Ned to think about what he just heard. As he thought, he also wondered why the Emperor was helping him.

Back in Essos it has been 6 weeks since Maximus had begun gathering his army, and it was finally complete. His whole army was gathered and organized under the various commanders and officers.
And now since the army is ready, Maximus began their march to Volantis as he rode on his dragon which was equipped with Dragon armor made by the dwarven craftsman. The armor wasn't too heavy nor was it a lot, it was only covering the most vital points on the dragon, meaning the wings were not covered since the dragon needs to have lots of maneuverability.
The Slaver Bay army which now occupied Volantis had even begun enslaving some people, mainly children, to train them to become Unsullied.
Myr, Tyrosh and Lys will be unaffected by this recent turn of events since slaves in each of the three cities outnumber free men three to one.
Volantis was targeted since it was trying to get rid of the slave trade, and it would be a demonstration to the Empire that attempting to stop the slave trade will have consequences.
The Imperial army, had arrived near the first town located near Volantis which was Selhorys. Selhorys had walls that surrounded the entire city. But to the Imperial army that was no problem at all.
Selhorys instead of fighting had surrendered since it was the one town that hadn't been taken over by the slave army and the people didn't want to fight the Imperial army which from a distance looked too intimidating making the slave soldiers drop their weapons and surrender.
Next was the town Valysar which was also a walled town. But unlike Selhorys the town Valysar was occupied by a small garrison of the slaver's Bay army. 20k Mercenary soldiers occupied the city and had no plan to give it up without a fight.
Maximus didn't have time to deal with this small garrison, so he took his two dragons and Great Eagles and attacked the city that way, while the cannons also opened fire on the soldiers on the walls.
Archers tried to shoot the dragons and Great Eagles, but the arrows were just bouncing off of the dragons and the Great Eagles, who also had armor.
In less than thirty minutes all the soldiers on the walls were dead as they were either killed by fire from the dragons or killed by the Great Eagles which used their claws to kill most of the men on the walls.
After that, a small portion of the army advanced inside the city and killed the remaining defenders, taking no prisoners even if they surrendered they were executed.
Maximus left 2k soldiers as garrison for the city while the rest of the army moved on. Instead of wasting time attacking Volon Therys Maximus and his army crossed the river passing Sar Mell and approaching Volantis where the Slave army was waiting for them.
Maximus had his army make camp and would rest for a day before attacking, since they had been marching for a while and did not want to lose men because they are fatigued.
But his Dragons and Great Eagles were not tired, so he took them out to attack the enemy, which had brazenly grouped their soldiers up in formations.
On top of his Dragon, Maximus could see groups of unsullied grouped together and slavers also mixed in making sure they don't run and to keep them in check. Maximus felt bad that he had to kill them, so he will give them a choice.
He landed his dragon in front of the entire army, along with the other Dragon and the Great Eagles. He got off the dragon and stood in front of the unsullied.
"Unsullied, I give you a choice here and now to become free or to be burned to a crisp" As Maximus said this the Dragon had roared making even the unsullied feel uneasy, but they were disciplined hard, so they showed no reaction.
"The Unsullied will not listen to you, it is I who command them, and it is you who will burn to a crisp" said Sallen Vynelar the leader of the army as he smirked
"These two dragons and giant birds are not enough to defeat my army. We will destroy your Empire and enslave all the women and children" Claimed Sallen Vynelar
"I think I heard enough" Said Maximus as he climbed back on the Dragon
The Dragon had taken off as arrows were shot at it. Maximus had rubbed the side of the Dragon's head, which he now named Balerion, after Aegon the Conqueror's Dragon. As he rubbed Balerion head, he told him to "give them Hell".
Balerion understood what Maximus meant and began to burn all the unsullied on the ground with his fire.
The Unsullied had put up their shields in hopes of blocking the fire, but it was useless as they were still burned. Some unsullied threw their spears at the dragon once it got close enough, but still it did nothing.
The Archers on the wall tried shooting it, still nothing. Sallen Vynelar at this moment was scared since he thought with this big of an army he could still win even against two dragons and some birds, but he was wrong and right now he was watching as the unsullied were being burned alive.
After causing enough damage, Maximus returned to the camp and would resume his attack the next day, ending the occupation of Volantis.
