It was a gloomy morning, the sky was cloudy, the weather was cold and the streets were void of life.
A little girl wrapped in a blanket sat on a staircase in front of her house, looking around as if she were anticipating something.
Looking to her left, she noticed silhouettes of people in a line walking towards her direction, most of them were wearing construction gear while others had suits and ties.
She glanced over at the approaching crowd, seemingly looking for someone.
One by one the crowd entered their own apartments, 'til the very end.
A woman noticed the girl sitting on the staircase and began running towards her.
The sounds of shoes clacking got the little girl's attention, she then got up and embraced the woman.
"Mommy!"
She cried out.
"Venice! What are you doing out here, it's still curfew hours you know?"
"I don't care, I miss you!"
She tugged on her coat tighter as she began to sob.
It'd been nearly a month since she last saw her, with no form of contact or communication while she was away.
The woman hugged Venice tightly, comforting her in a way. She then suggested that they both go back inside, to which Venice complies.
Upon entry, they were both greeted by Venice's dad, who laid on the sofa.
"Heya hon! Hey Venice!"
"Can you explain why Venice was outside?"
She interrogated him.
"She wanted to see you."
"But it's curfew hours Henry! Why didn't you stop her? Even if you're disabled you still have that 300,000 Æ (Currency) wheelchair."
"Francesca, she took and hid it..."
He explained.
"Sorry daddy!"
She shouted from the kitchen
"It's alright sweetie, just give it back."
(Continuation pending its like 5am right now, holy shit...)
