Chapter 8 - Ships that pass in the night

After I got myself down into the kitchen I decided a cup of coffee would be a good way to start my morning. Given the fact I drank half a bottle of tequila and hadn't slept a wink, apart from the fact that I hate coffee not because oh it slowly kills you, it damages your insides blah blah blah. Nope nothing like that I just hate the smell it makes me gag yes another very attractive quality.

As we are just a few hours outside of France I decided to make a Croquembouche, because who doesn't love cream filled choux, covered from top to bottom in caramel. I decided to finish it with sugar flowers and butterflies with some caramel filled chocolates because who doesn't have time for fiddly bits.

Sarah the head chef didn't bother me much during the day neither did any of the kitchen staff they had all seen and tasted most of my work so knew I could handle the stress and Sarah gave me approving nods from time to time so I mainly had my head phones in and listened to Disney music.

Yes I am a Disney freak even most of my tattoos are Disney related

Dean:

I keep thinking about the early hours of this morning and that kiss, Elizabeth has fantastic lips I just want to spend every day with her maybe if we get serious she can visit my family and we can love in together and oh I need to get a grip I say to myself as I walk down the steps with the glasses.

Maybe I should just look in the kitchen to see if Lizzie is around I just want to see that face. As I make my way across I can hear a beautiful singing voice I look through the door and there she is my Lizzie singing to herself.

Elizabeth: I got the feeling I was being watched so I looked up and there he was Dean smiling at me through the little window in the kitchen door, I did that half wave thing which made him chuckle as I moved my hair into a bun I began to bite my lip in annoyance as I have very annoying wavy hair so I gave up and just left a long strand out and placed it behind my ear. I looked up again to see Dean just staring. I heard the horn of the ship blow twice signalling we had arrived in France.

Dean: I sent Lizzie a text asking her to meet me at the bar after her shift so I could take her on a tour of France and get to know her better then I carried on with my shift about an hour later I got a response which made my heart almost leap out of my chest. A quote from my favourite movie from our round of twenty questions from this morning.

"I'd rather die tomorrow than live a hundred years without knowing you." — Pocahontas (I love Disney films but I haven't told her that yet, she might find it odd)

oh mon dieu sauve-moi - I say to myself this woman

(Oh god save me)
