A very very deep dream, that was all he could feel with his entire being. As if reality was the dream and he was the dreamer, a Dream Eternal. So long that it seemed to be everlasting and yet so fleeting it seemed to pass in an instant so much so that he could barely recall what he was dreaming about. A strange state...
All he knew deep in his heart was that he was dead, he knew it but the dream was so long that he had seemingly forgotten not only the past parts of the dream but also his memories...
Whatever the case, he felt it was a pleasant and happy dream. So he was immersed within in Joy and peace until one day, the sky of the dream cracked open, boundless light descended upon him and he was engulfed within.
The light seemingly transformed his being but no matter how long passed and how much it tried, it couldn't transform his heart. Due to the long time he was touched by the light, a crown appeared on his head, floating gently above his head.
Time passed and passed and yet his heart remained unchanged. The light seemingly gave up and retreated but his being had been touched by the light for so long, it began to show a radiance that was blinding. His being formed a body slowly, a humanoid form with 2 wings using the sea of light around him, then he was lifted up to somewhere unknown.
His mind slowly retreated from the strange state and he seemed to wake up from the dream, he blinked his two glowing amber eyes looking at the sea of golden light around him in confusion as his body moved up on its own.
He felt calm and at peace despite his great confusion as he approached what seemed to be a surface of sorts...
He reached it and some strange force pushed him out of, he was gently forced out of what appeared to be a shining golden Sea of light that stretched for as far one could sea.
He looked around in awe, the skies were filled with extremely luxurious palaces that were built on top of clouds, the azure sky had a tint of gold in it waves upon waves of light magically moved everywhere. He looked down and saw that he was standing on some sort of cloud that led to the sea.
Despite his awe, his attention turned toward himself. He was greatly shocked to discover he had no heartbeat and his entire being felt completely different than he expected it to. His memories were vague but he could recall that something was not as it was supposed to...
He looked at his hand and realized something, it appeared as a body of light, it was ethereal. He checked the rest of his being and it was the same, his shock however only grew as he noticed a pair of wings on his back.
The wings were long and magnificent, they were a mix of red and gold. He tried and they moved as he willed them to. He noticed something strange as he felt a little light from above his head. He couldn't see it but he realized a crown of sorts was also on his head that moved with his head and he couldn't touch it.
The most unique feeling, however, was the feeling within him. He felt as if a sun was inside his body, infusing it with some sort of energy that seemed limitless, like a heart that only beat outward and not inward. His body was humanoid, in fact it was just like a perfect human male but with wings.
Some sort of red robe had appeared on him magically the moment he had stepped out of the golden sea. The wings seemed to go through the robes as if they were made of light.
For some reason he felt a bit awkward with the wings and the moment he expressed a desire for them to vanish, they folded and did so instantly. He was taken aback as he appeared just like a human male with a circular crown of light floating above his head.
He willed them back and they appeared instantly, he tried it several times; he felt joy since he liked the control over them.
As he decided to make sense of the situation and his foggy memories, he saw another being like him step out of the sea, this one lacked a crown though. One by one more appeared.
Each one was extremely beautiful in female form or supernaturally handsome in male form. Each had a unique aura and wings with matching robes magically appearing on them. For some reason, a word came to his mind, 'Angels...'
The Angels that came out seemed all equally confused as they saw him and approached him and stopped when they were quite close. All of them seemed to expect him to say something. He felt weird being stared by them since he was just as clueless.
Suddenly the sea churned a bit as two angels appeared and it seemed there was going to be no more. He noticed that these two also had crowns like him. One was a breathtakingly beautiful female with a pure aura and white wings. The other was a charming male with a serene aura and blue wings.
The two also looked at him seeking answers. He frowned as he didn't know how to communicate, 'Do they know english? Wait! What is english?'
Before he could think more, a grand voice came from above, "It is a happy day, my brothers and sisters."
They all looked up and saw a six-winged angel with an incomparably sacred and holy aura that dwarfed theirs descend toward them. The angel did not have a crown.
He was shocked since he understood perfectly what the angel said and yet it was the first time he had heard such words. understanding come from within him like an instinct.
"I am Metatron. I shall guide you in this new existence. All you questions will be answered. You need not worry." The angel wanted to speak more but it stopped as he noticed the three angels with crowns in the group and seemingly grew happy.
"What a blessed day, three archangels have been born."
Before Metatron could continue, a much grander entity seemed to descended as the entire reality quaked in its mere presence. Unlike Metatron that was majestic and holy, this being's presence was intense to the point it was burning, all the angels seemed to go under the pressure except Metatron. It also had six wings but with a very unique crown atop its head radiating blinding light.
Metatron kneeled in respect, "Archseraph Gabriel."
The being's presence vanished along with its wings and it's features grew visible. It was a handsome thin young male with green hair and emerald eyes, he had a charming smile that calmed everyone.
"Metatron, I will take the Archangels." He said more as an order than a request.
Metatron nodded and seemingly stood by.
Gabriel walked toward the three with crowns on their heads and pointed at the female, "Henceforth your name is... Sofiel."
He looked at the one with blue wings and continued, "You name shall be... Rumiel."
Gabriel looked at the third Archangel and paused a little as something flashed in his eye, 'What an intense light...'
He said with a smile, "Your name will be... Luciel."
The three nodded, Gabriel then began walking away as he said, "Follow me." They followed him after hesitating for a second.
Luciel, however, had a strange expression on his face, 'These names are really familiar... If I focus I will Remember. Where have I heard them...'
Gabriel continued in a good mood, "Let me teach you from the beginning, the Cosmos began in mystery. No memory exists about the beginning of All."
Gabriel waved his hand and visions appeared around them, Luciel could see six domains of sorts in a black space.
"The 1st thing that is known, is that there were 6 realms before there was life. We know that because there was time and by looking through time, we observed the past."
Gabriel snapped his fingers and scenes in the visions changed to each realm, "The realms were as such: Sovngard/Heaven was the realm of light; Hellgard or Hell for short was the realm of darkness; Asgard the realm of Aspects and concepts that call themselves gods; Void the realm of nothingness; Moragard the realm of Chaos; And lastly, Midgard the realm of Order."
Gabriel stopped and looked toward them as the scenes changed and showed a terrifying explosion, "Order attracted the 6 realms and they collided with Midgard. This resulted the explosion that birthed the Cosmos."
Gabriel pointed at his right as if presenting art, They looked and saw a truly breathtakingly magnificent scene.
It was a Tree made of endless galaxies, its branches intertwined and one of them was somehow connected to where they stood.
"This is Yggdrasil, the world tree that is the Cosmos; Midgard was destroyed in the collision and the Cosmos was born from it and from the energies of the other realms. A complete realm."
Gabriel continued, "That, however, caused the other realms to weaken and that moment of weakness caused the realms to birth lifeforms to compensate. Thus came many lifeforms native to the 5 realms were born and countless more were born within the Cosmos due to the natural order."
Gabriel seemed to reminiscent, "Sovngard/Heaven gave birth to Celestials, I was one of the first to be born just like you. We began as Archangels and over the countless years, became Archseraphs."
He sighed, "With the birth of so many lifeforms, a new era began after the primordial one. The ancient era. With so many lifeforms that wanted to protect their realms, naturally war followed and the entire universe was engulfed in it. The focus were the souls ready for harvest in the Cosmos, each soul a fragment of power from the primordial explosion. Souls could make realms stronger and could be transformed into beings native to the 5 realms so all fought for them."
"Billions of years of war later, a pact was signed by the leaders of the great races, each representing a realm. This pact prevented destructive war and changed the nature of it. All desired souls after all since the power structure of the universe depended on it."
Gabriel continued seriously, "That is when the new era began, A cold war over souls across all the cosmos. Skirmished happen all over the place but no great war has erupted yet. The universe is in a state of balance."
"As for us, well, we are the Celestials; beings born of light; Some also call us Angels. Our hierarchy is as follows, Angels to Thrones to Seraphs. Those with crowns such as yourselves are Archs which is a symbol of potential for a Celestial to evolve into a higher stage. The possibility of you becoming Thrones is high and Seraphs... low. If you carry the crown after evolution, the possibility for the next one exists. The crown changes at the Archseraph stage which means it is the highest possible stage for a Celestial."
Gabriel explained again, "So we have Archseraphs like me at the top, then Seraphs then Archthrones and Thrones after them. You are next and below you are the angels. With each evolution, a celestial gains two wings. Our sworn enemies are the Demons of Hell and fallen angels who followed the betrayer Lucifer."
Gabriel then asked, "Any questions before we continue?"
Rumiel and Sofiel began asking questions but Luciel remained silent. He seemed to blankly listen, his mind in a state of chaos as he tried to remember; everything was just at the edge of his mind.
"Can't angel get crowns of light?" Rumiel asked.
Gabriel shook his head, "Those without crowns will never evolve again."
"...Can we see the pact?" Sofiel asked in innocent curiosity.
Gabriel chuckled, "Sure. Take a look."
Luciel also paid attention as a scroll appeared out of the air and opened itself in front of them. Luciel looked at the names that had signed it and froze as all the memories suddenly flowed into his mind.
The pact was signed by Gabriel and Micheal from Heaven, Satan and Lucifer from Hell, Odin and Zeus from Asgard, Yog-Sothoth from the Void, Io and Tiamat from Moragard, and lastly Death as the representative of Cosmos.
Luciel's life on earth flashed before his eyes when he saw some of the names since he remembered some like Yog-Sothoth for example... He was panicking inside.
Gabriel took back the pact and continued, "Now is the time for me to explain how heaven works and what your duties are as my new brothers and sister..."
Luciel had only 1 thought, 'How the hell was I reborn as an Archangel?! This is a fucking mess...'
