"Fine," I said as I looked at them, "But I have a favor to ask."
"What is it?" Carlos asked.
"Can we talk amongst ourselves first?"
"No!!" Noel yelled.
"Talk amongst yourselves?" Carlos asked suspiciously, "You know you can't leave here."
I nodded, "I know." I looked at Andre and Jayce, "Just leave us here for 15 minutes." I looked back at the free people, "That's all I need."
"No!" Noel whined but Mia got her under control.
"Fine." Mia said and dragged Noel out with her.
"15 minutes." Carlos said and left the room as well.
The first few moments were horrifying silent but this was probably the only chance I was going to get so I had to do this.
I looked at Andre, "Andre," I called his name but he didn't exactly look back at me but I could tell he gave me his attention, "I'm sorry," I said and then bowed my head, "I'm really really sorry."
He was surprised at my apology, "Hm?" And he finally looked at me.
"I said something to you and never saw it through. No matter what I say will sound like an excuse so I'm going to apologize. I was wrong. I'm really really really sorry." I kept my head down, "It's all my fault. I understand why you're upset with me but I'm really sorry for what I did! I really am!!"
"..." Andre got a little confused, "Hey..." He clicked his tongue softly, "It's-" He paused again, "I'm not upset with you..." I looked up at him, "This was inevitable..." He had a soft look on his face, "I understand... You met your fated pair after all." He gave me a soft sad smile back, "Resisting that is hell."
I smiled back at him in the same way, "I'm sorry."
"Don't," He replied, "You're making me feel bad."
"Sorry..."
"Oh God! Stop it!"
"But you're still mad, aren't You?"
"I'm not, " He shook his head, "I just need time to get over this. That's all." He smiled at me, "Summer Vacations are almost here, that's all I need to get my head straight."
"Really?" I asked.
He nodded, "Yea, and till that time. Let's pretend we're fine."
"So we'll start talking again?" I asked him and he nodded.
That was a relief! I couldn't help but smile at that.
My heart felt at ease!
"Ahem!!" We both heard Jayce and looked at him. He licked his lips and cleared his throat again, "I have something to say too." Jayce looked at me, "To Rave."
"Yes?"
"Now that I think about it, I never apologized." He said, "What my family did to you was very bad and you didn't deserve it." He bowed his head to me, "Sorry."
I smiled at him, "It's fine." I said, "That's history."
"I lost my chance with her because of you." Andre told Jayce. Apparently he now knew what happened between us so I guess Jayce and he and had talk.
Jayce looked at him, "You would never be in th picture if what happened didn't happen."
Andre rolled his eyes, "Yeah right."
They both started bickering and I felt really relaxed.
Ah...
We're back.
The door slowly opened and three free people peeked in.
"Come in." I told them and they did.
When they saw the livelier atmosphere, all three of them relaxed and took a breath of relief.
After that I we told we fought because of something silly and made up an excuse. This was something private between us, so we chose to keep it that way and forget about it.
It didn't matter what the cause was now anyway because it was now it the past
