So far nothing has happened. If Kronos did enter the forest, it should be to kill me since I had killed his brother multiple times.
That damn bastard Hyperion probably snitched on me.
"Ah. You must be the famous Medusa."
I turned around a dodged as a few snakes were sliced off from my head.
"Tsk. What do you want with me Kronos? Did baby Hyperion snitch on me?"
Another figure jumped from the trees in rage.
"Why you little bit-"
"Hyperion."
With just one word Hyperion shut up. Kronos gently smiled. He was a handsome man. However his smile was creepy.
And his eyes showing his thirst for power. He walked towards her without any care. As if he knew he wouldn't die even if he got close to me.
Ever since my encounter with Poseidon, I didn't trust those with handsome or beautiful faces.
"Medusa. The poor woman who got raped by Poseidon and got blamed for it! If it weren't for Athena's jealousy-"
"What the hell do you want from me? Get to the point."
Kronos's grin got even wider.
"You see, I'm planning a war. One which will shake the sky and spread fear among the Olympians. The army I have now is huge enough to storm through the underworld. Kampê has joined us."
I frowned.
"You are aware that by storming the underworld you will be creating an imbalance among the Cycle of Souls right?"
Kronos shrugged his shoulders.
"Why should I care? We have suffered eons in this hell. This is our chance to get out. I have gotten out three times already. And this time mother Gaea will be helping us."
Gaea. She would be a powerful ally. Even while she was in her slumber, she was powerful. I was tempted, however I was mortal once.
I did not wish to suffer once again. It was probable that the olympians would thwart his plans. She had overheard the increase protection around the gates to the underworld.
Moreover Kampê was a pushover when it came to the gods. She would switch sides immediately as soon as things looked horrible on her side and then pin the blame on others.
"I refuse."
Kronos lashed out his scythe in anger with my decision while Hyperion backed away as he was standing really close to me.
Of course I didn't let him. Grabbing Hyperion and ignoring the burns on my skin I brought him in front of me to receive Kronos' might.
His scythe wasn't the one he had used on his father, but rather a replica. It was still very powerful though. And while Kronos didn't have any other special power it didn't change the fact that he could still control time.
I made as much distance as I could from him however one of my feet got stuck in his time sphere.
"Damn it!"
I cut off my foot and started to run deeper in the forest. Gathering all the roots from the trees I lashed them towards Kronos.
While I couldn't attack him while he was inside his time sphere I could trap him however. It formed a cocoon around him.
Suddenly a burst of flame came from the side. I glared at Hyperion who managed to get up in time. The cocoon was in flames and Kronos threw his scythe at me.
I sighed and felt the slight pain before just feeling numb. I was dead. Once again.

I moved uncomfortably. The feeling inside my chest got heavier as I could smell the toxic gas within the air.

I frowned. What in the world was that number? But...it wouldn't hurt to try. Maybe it'd actually help me get out of the hellhole.
It wasn't like I was going to miss anything. Other than those cursed trees.

A flat, blue-squared box appeared in front of me. I tried to put my hands on it but it just went through.
"What in the world? I can only imagine the great Daedalus making this or...Athena."
[I assure you that the 'Revenge System' is not made by any of the deities in this world. The deities in this world do not have the specific intelligence level to exceed that of this world. The highest would be the deity you call Athena however her intelligence only exceeds a little above the bare minimum.]
I narrowed my eyes. I couldn't sense any divine aura from it. Rather I felt immediate fear. I remembered the time where I had met Zeus, Kronos, and Athena.
Zeus gave out an aura of pride and arrogance.
Kronos gave out an aura of greed.
And Athena gave out an arrogant and a shrewd aura.
However for the system I could only just fear it. Thus I believed its story on how it came from outside the world.

My eyes widened. Was it possible for me to spread the forest of curses everywhere? It wasn't like the trees actually could drop seeds. Right?

There was a humming sound for a second. My heart started to get heavier by the second.

I sighed. Of course such power came with consequences. Let's get started I guess.
