RIKO: That kind of player is very difficult to play against in a 1 on 1. It would be hard trying to guess or predict his movements.
KUROKO: Not just 1 on 1 coach, he's much more difficult when its a 5 on 5 game. I remember Akashi telling Aomine that Shin, when playing is like a "Two faced Conman".
Cause the way he plays confuses your perception about him. He can make you believe about what's he gonna do even if its just a feint.
Akashi told us that the way Shin plays is like a constant moving maze. He changes his mind on the fly that's why its hard to predict what's his next move gonna be.
Now the next problem will be in Kagami's head.
HYUGA: So it's better if it's 1 on 1. I think I know what you mean Kuroko. In a 1 on 1 there's only 2 people playing. You don't have to worry about other players in the court.
Kuroko nodded at what Hyuga said and continued to look at the game. While thinking " I better not tell them about the other nickname Shin has"
Meanwhile,
Kagami was thinking " What the hell was that? I saw him move but I can't understand why my body didn't react. F**k don't tell me I was nervous that's why I couldn't react?"
Shin then checked the ball to Kagami and said "Hey what are you spacing out for? Don't think too much. My ball again right? that's 2, 9 more and I'll win" while giving a smirk to Kagami.
Kagami returned the ball and said "You have to win first!" then he thought to himself "gotta focus more and watch him closely".
As Shin received the ball from Kagami, Shin bounced the ball on his left then suddenly shot the ball in front of him. Kagami still couldn't react as he could see the smile on Shin's face.
SHIN: That's 4 now, don't make it easy for me. 7 more and it will be over.
RIKO: Again?!
KUROKO: Like I said coach. The problem is now on what's in Kagami's head.
Hyuga and Kiyoshi was also shocked so as the other member's of Seirin. They all thought " What is happening to him? why didn't he block him?".
Kagami was also confused about what's happening to him. He could see everything Shin did from the dribble up to the shot he made. "Is he not taking me seriously? Or this guy is not special at all. But why cant I react to that shot. I guess I have to enter the zone for this one". he thought while passing the ball again to Shin.
Shin was watching Kagami when he suddenly felt an aura around him, Kagami's eye's was so fierce he could see it emitting currents of electricity. As Shin was seeing this he muttered to Kagami " that's what I'm talking about, show me what you got".
Shin was having a euphoria seeing Kagami in his current state. He could feel himself shaking with excitement.
Shin then started the same dribble bouncing the ball to his left. Suddenly, Shin made his move preparing to shoot again this time Kagami was well prepared and closed in on him in an instant.
But to his surprise Kagami saw the ball vanished, then he heard the ball bounced behind him. Kagami instinctively turns around only to see Shin also there who caught the ball with his left hand and is preparing to shoot.
Kagami in the zone, ran fast immediately and jumped for the block from Shin's side. But what shocked him was that as he jumped, just after his foot left the floor, he saw the ball bounced between his legs.
He then realized why the ball vanished the first time he closed out on him. "He bounced it between my legs as I attempted to stop him from shooting the first time. He timed it perfectly that's why I thought it vanished just like now" thought Kagami.
The ball was caught by Shin afterwards and made the shot from the same spot as those two shots he made. It was another 2 points. Kagami had no way of recovering as everything happened so fast.
By the time he landed from the fake, Shin had already released the ball from his shot. Kagami couldn't help but doubt his chances against Shin.
He was already in the zone but he still failed to stop him. He could only wonder what kind of a monster his facing right now. "Damn, why do I feel like I had played for an entire game? when its only the start. I guess this is what Izuki felt when he played against him. Im gonna get him back for that".
"Did you saw it Kiyoshi?" asked Hyuga.
KIYOSHI: Yeah even though I feel bad for Kagami, but that was a hell of a move. From the first feint, then he bounced the ball between Kagami's legs as he closed out on him leaving him momentarily dazed.
After that, he caught the ball behind Kagami, he did another feint which prompted him to jump for the block.
What surprised me was he bounced the ball again in between Kagami's legs as if he already knew that Kagami would definitely jump to block him.
HYUGA: I could say the same. He already predicted Kagami's movements. That last bounce between the legs was the icing on the cake. He bounced it right after Kagami's feet left the floor leaving him no chance of recovery.
RIKO: You two are also forgetting something. Kagami is in the zone right now but that Shin isn't. He just played with Kagami's zone like it was nothing. It's as if he doesn't need to have any worries about the zone. Look you can even see that guy smiling.
IZUKI: Yeah. After those series of feints, it's pretty hard not to fall for it. I'm just worried that next possession he'll feel the same thing I felt when I was facing that guy.
KUROKO: I doubt Kagami will be able to force Shin use his zone. The way Shin plays is that he doesn't care about the zone even if he's facing against one.
In fact it served as a challenge for him playing against a zone. He doesn't think that only a Zone can defeat Zone.
Seirin's other members was also shocked about what's happening. They couldn't believe that someone had just played Kagami like that. They know how strong he was as their ace but to be scored liked that so early felt like Kagami was just a kid.
They thought that with Kagami, it would be a close game. But contrary to their expectations, Kagami could not even stop his attacks. Now, Kagami is 6 points behind Shin. What's even worse is that it happened so fast that the game could end early.
