Cairo operating, where he got squirted in the face with blood but didn't waiver in his focus. He narrates that he was really okay. Next, Cairo driving crazy, running a red light and then almost plowing down pedestrians in a crosswalk as he says that he usually didn't waver for most things. He wasn't really afraid of anything either. We see Cairo running inside a building and trying to get the glass doors to open. He says that there was no door that he couldn't open… (Cairo frantically searching with a flashlight in the dark.) until he met that girl. Then he stops and frantically yells Natalie's name.
[ Even though it's not okay, it's okay ]
Aunt and Mom are sitting on the couch. Aunt has her phone out. She's trying to prepare her Unni for what she's about to see. Will she really be okay? Mom is sure that she will be, but Aunt isn't so sure. Grandma asks what's going on and Aunt shows her the picture, with a conspiratorial grin. Grandma starts laughing and clapping and Aunt compliments herself on her camera work. Mom grabs the phone, looks at the picture and cringes. She gets a headache from the picture of Natalie and Cairo going at it.
Cairo is lying on his bed, staring at the ceiling. He's thinking about the kiss. So we get to watch it again. Hee! Plus the uncomfortable awkward glancing at each other after the kiss finishes. Cairo starts to try to say something when Natalie mutters for him to be quiet. Aunt is watching. Then Cairo spots Aunt. Cairo wipes the kiss off his lips as he quietly tells Natalie that he thought she was kicking him away. She replies that it was because he really didn't look okay.
Back in the present, Cairo blinks and then sits up in bed. Split screen with Natalie sitting up, equally distressed. They fan themselves because it's so hot. They both get up out of bed. Cairo goes to the refrigerator and chugs some water. Natalie grabs and chugs a beer. Rocco is cleaning a sink at work. Isla is drowning her sorrows at a bar. She drinks. Back to Cairo drinking 'One Water.' Natalie drinking. Rocco stops scrubbing and sighs. Isla drinks. Cairo finishes his water. Natalie finishes her beer and mutters to herself that she must be crazy.
Drive in movie. Some sort of action movie. Lots of couples making out in their cars. Arg! It's Dad and Mistress, holding hands as they watch the movie. I want to vomit. Mistress sighs and says that that is love. She says that just because it's a different way doesn't mean it isn't love. Of course she would say that. I *really* don't like her. Mistress looks at Dad and asks if "that person" is still putting her neck out for Cairo's marriage. Wow, she refers to Mom as that person. She isn't even under the illusion that Dad is going to leave his wife. She's fine with just sleeping with him regardless. I am speechless as to what type of trollop she is. Dad sighs and pulls his hand out of Trollop's. Trollop smiles and says that marriage is just one out of many different ways that someone can express love. Right, Dad? He smiles at Trollop and nods, but as she takes his arm again, happily, he doesn't look so at ease.
Mom is home working on food in the kitchen. Dad approaches and asks Mom why she doesn't hire someone, since she's gotten older. Without looking up, Mom asks if he needs something. So, Dad's feeling a little guilty. As he should. He comes up with something… a glass of water. She gets the glass and goes back to work. He asks if there's really hope for Isla's relationship with Cairo. Mom points out that Dad liked Natalie. Awkwardly, he says 'no,' and gulps down some of the water. He replies that his boss is good friends with Isla's dad. Mom says she understand what he's saying. The villain's role is always her part. He finishes off the water and leaves. Mom picks up the phone and calls Isla.
Bon Café. The chef has just gotten in a shipment of truffles. Really expensive, five million won truffles. Rocco is shocked by them and Chef tells him to keep his paws off! Chef puts them away when he thinks Rocco isn't looking.
Aunt has staked out Bon Café. Natalie arrives on her bike. She spots Aunt, who tries to pretend not to be there. Plastering on a smile, Natalie mutters that Aunt is driving her crazy! Cairo just happens to drive up. Natalie acts so excited to see him and like she was expecting his arrival. Aunt is surprised. Natalie grabs Cairo's arm as he exits the car and fawns all over him. He is completely awkward and uncomfortable. I wonder what Cairo's thinking about… That kiss perhaps? His burgeoning feelings of love? Heh.
Natalie gushes over Cairo, asking if he's eaten breakfast. He snaps at her, asking why this girl is like this. I really like that suit he's wearing today! She drags him up to Bon Café. Once they're inside, Cairo is really uncomfortable – that anyone he knows might actually see them like that – so he shoves her off, telling her to get away from him. Which is ironic since he normally wants people to see them like that. She ignores him and makes him sit by the windows (where Aunt can see them). Cairo clears his throat and looks in her direction. All he can focus on is her lips. He gulps loudly. He so totally likes her! Eee!
Natalie says they need to straighten out what happened yesterday. That snaps Cairo out of staring at her lips. He awkwardly tries to look relaxed as he crosses his legs. He says that he'll straighten it out for her. And then he proceeds to look really flustered. Instead of the smooth way he normally talks, it sounds like he's grasping at things as he says that the reason he chose her was because he thought that they would never have useless things like feelings form for each other. He looks over at her and is distracted by her lips again. He shakes his head slightly and looks away, saying that the reason why they are doing is for one reason… He has to struggle with his brain to remember the reason. So that he could be by himself.
Cairo's still not looking at Natalie as he says that he was hoping she wouldn't approach him if he didn't need her and he also wanted to tell her to refrain from touching him uncomfortably. Natalie's a little insulted at that implication. She says that she didn't do it for her. It was all because of him, to help him! She slaps his hand as she says it. She declares that what happened just a moment ago was because Aunt was watching outside. Cairo mutters, "oh," and grabs the water in front of him to chug it. Unfortunately, it's pretty much empty.
Natalie sighs and mutters that she's going crazy. Because of this type of guy, her precious lips... She stops and touches her lips like the memory is painful. Cairo's face is killing me. Like a little boy looking at her, asking if it was really that terrible. She whimpers that it happened in front of Rocco, too. Rocco walks up to the table and answers that he knows. It was a bit too much. He tells Cairo that Natalie kisses anyone anywhere. Natalie can't believe that he thinks that, but Cairo protests that this is what he's saying! And I shake my head at him. Smooth Cairo comes out and says that it was way too unnecessary. She was probably just carried away by her feelings and– Cat snarl as Natalie yells 'hey!' at him.
Natalie starts to try to explain to Rocco but he says that he knows. He understands what type of person Natalie is. Like a fool she likes anyone, gets carried away, and can't even throw them away. She's someone that ends up kissing a man who doesn't mean anything to her and isn't fun, like a moron. Cairo didn't like how Rocco described him, but he stops when Rocco, smiling and looking at Natalie, declares that he likes moronic Natalie. Natalie can't believe that she hasn't blown it and Cairo doesn't like how she's looking at Rocco. Rocco goes on like he said nothing special to tell them that today begins a month-long truffle festival at Bon Café, with a special menu prepared with truffles by the chef, so they should try it. Then he walks off, like he's just told them the specials and is letting them decide what they want to order.
Natalie asks Cairo if that was a confession by Rocco. He answers, "no," like she's stupid that she didn't get that. Natalie ignores him and breaks out into a big grin as she declares that it was a confession. Cairo asks if a guy would call a girl a moron in a confession. Natalie snarls in Cairo's direction for being a party-pooper.
Chirp from Natalie's phone. It's Rocco. He tells her to come back at night again. She breaks out in a big smile. Cairo tries to look at her phone, but she snatches it out of his view. She sweetly bids Cairo goodbye. He looks like he's trying to think of something to make her stay, but can't. She stops and quickly waves at Rocco before she leaves the café. Cairo looks over at Rocco, who has his phone out – so it's obvious who the text came from, if her grin wasn't a give away – and Cairo glares at this guy.
K.MOM is driving with Kelvin looking at the ingredient costs at the café. It's not even a high dining restaurant but he uses the best quality truffles? Kelvin mutters that Chef is a bit greedy when it comes to his cooking. K.MOM asks if it's not really because of rat-like bastards lurking in his kitchen.
Natalie arriving at night and Rocco letting her in. They're so cute. In the kitchen, Natalie declares that she feels like she's doing something bad. Rocco replies that he's not bad, just thrilling. Plus, it feels like they're having some secret tryst. It's fun. Natalie sighs and says that right now it's going to be hard to meet up. If his family finds out that it was fake then Cairo will have to get married to someone he doesn't even like. Rocco smiles as he says that he doesn't really care though. She asks him if he didn't have them meet at night because of Cairo and he says that he wanted to make something good for her, that's why he told her to come at night.
Voila. The world's one and only egg custard. Natalie likes the look of it, but he tells her to wait. He grabs some truffle shavings. She tries it and says that the smell is weird! But she says that it's good! Rocco passes her the rest of the truffles to smell.
Chef arrives at the café, intent on pilfering some of the truffles for himself. Natalie and Rocco hurry to hide, but Natalie ends up dropping the truffles and stepping on them, so they end up looking like poop. Chef's telling his friend that his boss doesn't have time to care about where the truffles go. Chef spots them and screams in horror.
The next day, Chef presents the evidence to Kelvin with Rocco there. Kelvin sighs and says that he never once thought of him as his employee, but always considered him as one of his people. Someone that he trusts 100%. His person. And Rocco's response is to step on his trust like dog poop? Kelvin throws one of the truffles at Rocco, who apologizes. Chef chimes in with the cost. Kelvin has his head in his hands as he says that he kept wondering who it was that entered the kitchen secretly. He supposes that the bastard was Rocco. Chef looks a little bit guilty there, but Kelvin isn't looking at Chef.
Kelvin tells Rocco to tell the truth. He's been pilfering the food ingredients, right? Chef swallows nervously. Rocco denies that one, pilfering ingredients. Chef yells at Rocco; how can he say it's not him! Chef declares that in order to seduce a girl, he used the kitchen however he wanted! Rocco declares that it's true that he does cook secretly. He'll honestly admit to what he did. But he only used left over ingredients or the ones that were past their expiration dates. He mutters that he used the truffles because he was curious... Then he adds that besides those he didn't touch anything else!
Kelvin sighs and says that it's sad. He really didn't want to look at this. He holds up a flash drive. CCTV footage. Chef really doesn't like the sound of that. He looks really nervous now. Kelvin tells Rocco that if he did something wrong, he should say it now. He'll forgive Rocco. Rocco declares that he'll take responsibility for his wrongs. He bows and leaves for the kitchen. Chef is still there as Kelvin mutters about kids nowadays and how brazen they are! Chef asks why Kelvin doesn't just fire Rocco. Kelvin looks at him and asks why Chef was in the café that late. Oops. Chef blinks and declares that he left something… his cell phone… and then he pretends to have left something on the stove so he can hurry out of there.
Back in the kitchen, Rocco is there waiting, which startles Chef. Rocco asks about Chef's line about forgetting his cell phone. Chef repeats the lie. Rocco points out that when he came in there, he was talking on the phone. How could he talk on the phone without his cell phone? Chef gets defensive and Rocco smiles. Rocco starts to leave and Chef demands to know where he's going. Rocco answers that he's going to get the 5 million won.
Zoe has just told Natalie that she's going to leave. She thought about it a lot but she thinks it's best. Even if Natalie and Oppa did break up, she once thought of Oppa as a man she was going to marry. How could Zoe continue to face Natalie? I'm starting to feel nauseated. Because she's so sincere and not manipulative. Yeah, that's what it is… Natalie protests that she's fine! Zoe says that when she sees Natalie, she thinks of Oppa. Natalie can't believe that Zoe was sincere in liking Kelvin. Zoe's response is to apologize. And I roll my eyes. Yes, she was sincerely after his money. Zoe starts to cry and Natalie wonders what she can do.
Kelvin is watching the CCTV footage and sees that the girl Rocco was cooking for was Natalie. He's not happy. And right then Natalie walks up. She's there to plead Zoe's case. As she pleads, Kelvin is just looking at her with a sarcastic look on his face. Natalie asks him to please go meet with her, since Zoe is right outside. Trying not to sound bitter, Kelvin asks if Natalie is okay with that, with him and Zoe seeing each other. Natalie tells him to meet her with a sincere heart and not to hurt Zoe like he did with her.
Kelvin asks how Natalie could do this to him. Natalie tells him he should just accept that they are over. He twists his laptop around to show the CCTV footage. He says that she had to go be lovey-dovey in *his* restaurant behind his back with Rocco. That must have been really fun. He sounds like he thinks it was going on before they broke up. Really? Natalie apologizes for how it happened. She notices that Rocco isn't there and worries that Kelvin fired him. Kelvin can't believe she's doing that! Natalie protests that Rocco did nothing wrong! It was because she had a situation...
Kelvin marvels at how amazing Natalie is. During the day, she talks about marrying a Plastic Surgeon who happens to be his closet friend. At night, she enjoys time with a younger flower boy who happens to be is part-timer. On top of that it happens to be in his restaurant where they hide and secretly… He almost can't get the last word – date – out. Natalie apologizes and says that what he sees isn't everything. She starts to try to explain but Kelvin tells her not to, or his heart will just get hurt. He gets up and goes outside. Natalie follows him.
Kelvin spots Zoe, who looks so meek as she stands there. Kelvin walks up to her and apologizes for messing with her when he had someone else in his heart. He declares that he's trash. And we all know that he's really directing this at Natalie. Natalie says his name to try to get him to stop. He doesn't he declares that having two girls in one heart is a terrible thing to do. And, two-timing. Even if he were to die and come back alive, he can't comfortably two time with someone who is friends with Natalie. He apologizes, bows and walks off. Zoe, of course, tells Natalie that she hates her (for ruining things)!
Kelvin and Cairo are out at a bar. Kelvin's just told Cairo what he's discovered and Cairo has declares that he doesn't care at all! Kelvin can't believe that. Cairo says that there's no point in caring about a guy like Han Rocco. Even if they date, at the most, it'll only last for about two months. So why bother?
Kelvin looks at Cairo like he's speaking a foreign language. He shifts on his stool and says that Cairo really like Natalie, right? Cairo chokes on his drink. Because the answer is yes. Kelvin declares that it's heartbreaking. Just heartbreaking. Cairo continues to act like he could care less. Kelvin says that he's known Cairo a long time and the boy is acting that cool and unaffected because he wants to keep Natalie next to him. Cairo replies that he's not acting cool. He is cool. Kelvin doesn't believe him. He knows that Cairo is internally fussing about Rocco. Cairo strongly declares that he really doesn't care!
Kelvin replies that Mom really cares. She called him earlier and asked a lot of questions about Rocco so he was going to show Mom what those two were exactly doing on the CCTV footage. Freaked out Cairo declares that Kelvin can't! Kelvin glares at Cairo like he's crazy, smiles and says that he was going to do it but he didn't. Cairo starts massaging Kelvin's shoulders as he begs Kelvin to keep his mouth shut around Mom. Kelvin takes that to mean that Cairo really likes Natalie. Instead of answering, Cairo drinks several glasses of his wine.
Natalie leaves work. Rocco is waiting for her. She's worried but he assures her that he didn't get fired. He's got a bag and a guitar with him. He says that he's been kicked to the streets instead. He had to use all of his rent and deposit money to pay back the truffles. Natalie feels bad. Rocco asks if he can crash at her house.
Cairo is now home, playing a video game. He thinks about kissing Natalie again and hears Kelvin say, "Ah… You like Natalie that much?" He shakes his head and tells himself, "No... no… Never." He tries to get back to his game but he's thinking of kissing her again. He loses his game and drops the controller to the floor. He looks distraught as Kelvin points out how he really likes Natalie. Because it's true now! He puts his face in his hands and flops back on the couch. He doesn't even react when the keypad for the door goes off.
Natalie enters. He just stares at her smiling at him. She says she has a favor and yells for Rocco to come in. Rocco enters, drops his stuff, bows deeply and calls out, "Hello, brother!" That shakes Cairo out of his reverie. Natalie asks him to let Rocco sleep there. Rocco comes in and is amazed at how nice Cairo's place is. Cairo is practically livid at he stares at Natalie. Another person in his sanctuary! Where he's supposed to be alone! Hee. Rocco is nicely smiling.
