(Pibity bibity, I stubbed my toe on your mother's nightstand.)
It had been almost a year since he's woken up in 'Naruto' and life was pretty good for the one-year-old Rei who was already sprinting around the clan grounds at full speed, parkouring over small obstacles that were passively around the compounds, after a year he had learned quite a bit over his family.
First off, the Talmos were known for their capabilities in stealth, infiltration, information gathering, and ability to escape any situation. To help train for environments, there were a lot of random obstacles and courses around the entire compound the kids and adults could use to hone their parkour skill along with 'Deposits.' that if found, the kids could get some money or other misc items that they could go used to get sweets, and or trade-in for practice tools.
Hidden as a game that gave rewards, but was actually training for being able to spot hidden things was great. Rei was, of course very good at it but he held back, not because he was hiding his abilities, but because if he went all out, he'd leave nothing for the other kids.
He may find it occasionally hard to play with kids, but a year with adjustment has allowed him to get used to it, and thanks to his blurred memories wish, it was far easier to take everyone in as family.
Second off, his family was pretty well off, their compounds were huge only because of the courses and parkour. His family was amazing scouts so dangerous information gathering missions usually fell on them, and there was a tax for all missions that helped the village, as a whole, then the tax the clan itself takes for the civilians of the family.
Which, it may seem like a lot, but the 'Will of fire.' was so deeply ingrained into everyone's head, no one saw it as a problem, so don't fix what isn't broken.
Rei didn't care, if he so wanted to he could become a filthy rich kid in months, but with the income of his family, which is the head of the Talmos clan, and his own chores, Rei was fine.
He had asked his parents to teach him a few things, apparently, a strange thing was the appearance of chakra to the body, despite if he decided to train even at a young age, if he didn't push himself to permanent injuries, it wouldn't stunt his growth. Fine by him, it allowed him to run around and play to his heart's content, being able to jump across buildings at the age of one was already wild to Rei.
The first thing his parents taught him was that despite his chakra being activated, he was recommended that he not use it until he was at least three, saying that from birth to three, using your chakra may mess up how your body activates it.
This made him confused about how Itachi could wake up his Sharingan so early then, but then if he were to use science, passive chakra movement that is natural is fine, but attempting to deviate the chakra from where it can go, like to make seals cause a transformation for chakra were different.
The Uchiha could do it from a young age because to them, their eyes were a more passive thing, only later did it become more of something they needed to focus on, and that is when they unlocked the Mangekyo. He asked an older kid from the Uchiha clan, and they said when he activated his own sharingan, it was simply like just, putting effort into his eyes, to focus them, and he showed how easy it was for him, the only difference was the look of focus.
It was a semi-active passive? Strange, but Rei just moved on from it, he learned that even if he can't shape seals or try and Jutsu's, what they meant is he can't 'use' chakra before three, that didn't mean he couldn't try experiments, as long as he didn't expend too much, he'd be fine.
He had tried to meditate, and since he didn't really have anything to go off of, he just tried the usual cultivation tropes.
None of them worked, but his mind had gone through a 'Minor' evolution, it simply made him more aware of how his body felt, and with the knowledge of his previous life, and being able to very clearly feel the currents of chakra in him, he went into 'Deep Meditation.'
After an hour or so he found out these things.
One, he had a 'Chakra Center.' which DID rotate to gather chakra, he noticed his own personal chakra rotation seemed very slow, like painfully slow.
But with his knowledge from the anime and the manga, chakra showed up like 'Flames' through the eyes of byakugan. So with some minor shifts, he realized that the reason why it wasn't a flame currently, was because it was passive, his deep meditation was helping him regain chakra.
But, when he became active and started to actively bounce around, run, and do a few training jabs, he could 'sense' the burning again.
Two, he learned that every tenketsu point, is a path for chakra, yes, but their also small batteries. Using his deep meditative state, the only time he could somehow 'Feel' inside himself, he tried to gather his chakra and passively began to build it up into a tenketsu point. It seemed to work in a way, and he didn't feel the chakra in it lessening at all even after his training, so it seemed unless he wished to draw chakra from it, he wouldn't.
This didn't make much sense, but since he's limited to what he can see and feel at this moment he would have to run more tests later.
The third is he's found the gates. Their eight large points that he very little chakra going through. Working passively, when he closely examined them, and compared them to them he realized that they were exactly where the anime and manga described them. But he wouldn't even think of touching that without first being at least 6, the recommended age to start practicing them.
With those out of the way, and going back to his chakra center, he learned that he can speed up the rotation, and it would gather more chakra, but it took a long time for it to even seem to go from one rotation every six minutes, to a rotation ever five and a half. He assumed, for now, maybe if he could increase his rotation, he'd be able to quickly start to regenerate chakra, only if took a moment to focus on it.
The most broken thing he has discovered in this year, however? Fuinjutsu seals.
